15: Snow-White Nichirin Katana

15 days went by calmly on sagiri mountain...

the sound of birds appeared throughout the sea of trees, it was a strange quietness.

[Ice Breathing: 5th Form- Lunar Split] a deep voice resounded throughout the area, a nearly quiet sound of a sword slash was heard.

boom!!

a huge neon-blue sword energy appeared, cutting a devastating path across the forest, destroying the trees in half like they were nothing but butter.

itsuki calmed his breathing and sheathed his katana, his gaze landing on the long row of split threes, even the ground was razed with a terrifying sword slash that went far for atleast 50 meters.

"itsuki" urokodaki appeared, the shock in his tone was evident, he had came to inform itsuki that the color-changing swords were here, but what he saw suprised him, although he could do something similar, he doubted he could do it so easily as well.

"isn't this kid only 15 this year? turning 16 soon?" urokodaki felt a headache, itsuki's improvement rate was crazy and nearly crazy, he could definetly become a hashira in the future, this was an obvious guarantee.

returning back to the wooden building, itsuki noticed another person inside the room, he wore a wide hat-type thing which had some strange ornaments on them, along with a warding mask just like urokodaki.

itsuki sat down and listened to urokodaki explaining about the origin of the nichirin swords and how they were made from scarlet crimson iron sand and scarlet crimson ore.

they also explained why tanjiro looked so gloomy right now with his black nichirin sword, itsuki only laughed before saying.

"dont worry any demon will have to kill me before they can kill you" of course he was capping, this wasn't even close to the truth.

tanjiro smiled emotionally the usual cold itsuki actually said something nice for once, had something good happened?

itsuki grabbed the wrapped nichirin table on the floor under nezuko's intense gaze, this little girl was really way too cute.

"just like tanjiro, the color of your nichirin sword would also be based on you" haganeduka said through his mask, this was the name of the man sitting next to urokodaki.

"hmm ok" itsuki smiled before pulling the sword out of its sheath the handle was black, normal, it didn't have anything special or noteworthy on it.

itsuki raised the nichirin sword and channel his energy into it, under the gaze of everyone present.

"w-white?" haganeduka shouted, from the bottom of the sword it rose untill it was a pure snow-white, nearly glowing, it wasnt even silver.

"its not done" haganeduka said once again.

the orginial snow-white nichirin sword actually had some black in it finally, but it was only at the handle area, it resembled a flame.

haganeduka didnt say much about it since he didn't know what it meant, but from his previous chat with urokodaki he knew itsuki was strong, potentially on the hashira level.

"well since my nichirin sword is here, ill be taking my leave, urokodaki-san thanks for everything, i will definitely visit one day" itsuki said, he had already informed urokodaki a few days ago.

the old man only told him and tanjiro to be careful, afterall he knew they would have to leave when they got their swords and that they could still die no matter how strong they were right now if they met a stronger demon.

two annoying black crows landed as they shouted.

"caww.. tanjiro" "caww Itsuki"

"get up and go hunt some demons, you have gotten your first assignment" the two crows said nearly simultaneously.

"tanjiro go to the town north west... caww.. cawww, girls are disappearing in the town

"Itsuki you are strong Hurry towards the town Straight north, multiple demons are attacking, hurry..caww...hurry... dont waste time....caww please go right now." the crow continously said, it was anxious.

although everyone had a headache, they still listened seriously..

itsuki and tanjiro both got their tasks.

"multiple demons?" urokodaki and haganeduka said at the same time, it seems even the headquarters knew how strong itsuki really was, could only be from his final selection achievements, they knew clearly that the corps wouldn't let normal slayers deal with multiple demons on their first task..

itsuki put his snow-white nichirin in the sheath before wearing his haori, bidding farewell to the them he left immediately.

seeing this, tanjiro also got dressed before bidding farewell to urokodaki and bringing nezuko with him, leaving the two old men alone in the building.

itsuki and tanjiro parted ways, itsuki went straight north, while tanjiro went more to the southern area, he wasnt in a rush like itsuki was.

afterall the crow said "girls had been disappearing" its most likely been happening for a long time now.

itsuki rushed towards the town in the north direction, the crow following behind him.
