This wasn't to say Alex wasn't going to eat a piece of the golden elder , merely that he would prefer to capture it instead of kill it. "We will have to plan for the capture so any extra cost for the mission will be paid for out of your own funds , understood?" the commander said to Alex who nodded in agreement. After that it was merely a case of planning out the siege on the golden elder for the rest of the day. Kulve taroth was larger than most elder dragons but she was no where near the size of zorah so Alex had to change the way the binders were used to prevent undue injury to it.-
This wasn't all that difficult since he simply had to have the spearhead removed and replaced with a tightly bound heavy chain net attached to the same chain as before. When shot out the net will unfurl and wrap around whatever it hits making it much easier to capture creatures without harming them very much. Alex reckoned that in addition to his own presence these would be perfect for restraining kulve taroth. It took a week for the full preparations to finish and the caverns where the siege would take place was now littered with ballista and cannons.-
Kulve taroth herself had seen them setting these things up but mostly ignored them since they were leaving her alone. This was the final straw that convinced the commander that Alex's suggestion wasn't without good reason as kulve did seem harmless to people even after they were all around her. Perhaps they might not be able to ally themselves with her like they did Alex but having a neutral relationship is definitely good enough. The day finally came and Alex made his way to the el dorado caverns.-
Soon after he got in position in the middle pathway of the caverns to wait for kulve , she finally arrived and walked through the paths calmly. This changed when she finally reached Alex and halted in her tracks entirely. Aggression was not the first thing that came to mind when this encounter happened but rather fear. Kulve taroth started to slowly back away from Alex without breaking eye contact but full on panicked when the first binding net struck her. Alex rushed in and took a bite out of some of her extraneous fat before swallowing it and then moving to suppress her while postponing the notification from the system.-
The golden elder struggled for a good thirty minutes before seeming to realize that Alex wasn't in fact after her life and submitting pitifully. The scholars rushed in at this point and began to run test on the uncomfortable elder while Alex stood on standby near the golden elder to stop her should she decide she didn't like what the scholars were doing. This never happened and the operation went smoothly before the people of astera started to pack up and leave , though not before leaving a few cooked aptanoths for kulve as an apology for the inconvenience.-
Alex didn't immediately head back to astera with the others even after the golden elder was released with the a funny expression. Despite not having a human face it wasn't hard at all to see the sheer confusion that kulve taroth had at the situation. None of this had anything to do with Alex however as he had flown to the top of the ancient tree near astera that was easily the size of a mountain. Once there he finally accepted the notifications from the system causing a drastic shift within his body.-
The moment the [elder dragon] trait fully unlocked that tiny amount of dragon energy suddenly started to violently increase. He gained the trait [dracosis] at T1 immediately but it started to shoot up through the tiers in real time right afterwards. In little more than five minutes the trait had directly shot to T9 before finally stopping. It would be no exaggeration to say that at this moment Alex's body was overflowing with power as his aura had also directly shot up by a large amount leaving his control and seemingly breaking through some sort of barrier as it physically manifested in the form of a crimson and emerald colored flame on his body.
