Lord Raven's Court

In the year 556 of the Runtallian Calendar, a war broke out in the eastern frontier of the Kingdom of Runtallia between the eastern overlord, Duke Gaverone Walruse of Regalia, and the barbarian chief-thane known as Dariun Drunzelle of the Shiradonii tribe, one of the Four Great Tribes of Norsmund, a nation that borders the Kingdom, deemed to be the land of brutes and savages. As the Duke of Regalia marches with his army to defend the disputed land of Kurlon, the barbarians have taken such an opportune moment to launch another incursion near the eastern border of Regalia near the town of Flendle, with the intention of dividing his army. However, despite accepting the town and the surrounding local lords' territories as lost cause in the war in favor of Kurlon– a newly discovered territory bountiful with veins of iron and other minerals– the Duke tasks his third son, Lord Velmund Walruse, along with his retinue, the Order of the Raven Knights, to fend off the attack. Now faced with the plight of defending the border town against a 5,000-strong Norsmundi army with his few yet skilled knights, along with an ill-equipped and undermanned militia, Lord Velmund has no choice but to fulfill his duty as a noble, relying upon his wits and his few but capable retainers to survive his first battle at the tender age of sixteen summers and winters. Contrary to his timid, youthful, and innocent appearance, however, lies his sly and scheming nature, evident by his fondness of dark magical arts specializing in illusion spells. Nevertheless, he himself has no idea of what he is capable of, and what he is destined to become. Meanwhile, further east at the frontier with Norsmund, a plot hatches to ensnare the Duke within the clutches of his treacherous vassals. Not only his life is threatened by these schemes, but his sons Theo and Varus as well. With this scheme put into motion, the Duke and Velmund's siblings, Varus and Theo, would taste fate's twisted humor, with the former meeting his demise in a blaze of glory amidst the field of battle, and the latter two vanishing in incidents shrouded by mysteries. With the death of the patriarch of Regalia and his heirs' disappearance, the young lord who was initially third in line for the succession of the ducal seat became its temporary occupant. And thus, the tale of him and his court begins… CHAPTER RELEASE: January 1st at 12:00 UTC

A Time Traveller's Guide to Feudal Japan

Do people chase greatness, or does greatness chase us? A.I. genius, Gengyo, through the assistance of SAPPHIRE attains the means to time travel. He seeks a simpler life, and wishes to experience the warmth of a family. But often we do not get what we want, we get what we deserve. And his peaceful times soon end, as war storms Japan, and in order to protect his peace, he must conquer. Join Gengyo as he walks a blood-stained path toward absolute domination, seizing control of Japan. //Brief extract from one of the battle scenes. Written from the point of view of a samurai landowner, Niwa Nakatane. The hooves grew closer to Nakatane's position and their beating hearts grew faster. Perhaps they could simply remain like that, hiding behind the tree, and allow these barbarians to pass? That way could they not return home to their families? Could they not give their dear wives one final kiss, or share one final story with their enthusiastic youth? Nakatane knew exactly what they were thinking. And as the ground rumbled, and the mounted beasts howled, he was the first man to step out from the trees and make his stand. "OORAH!" Possessed by a furious energy, he thrust out with all the aggression of a war god, puncturing Ochi's stallion through the chest with the sharpened wooden point of his lengthy spear. The mammoth fell from his mount clumsily, his head colliding with a nearby tree root. He ceased to move, and a pool of blood began to form around him. "ARM THESE SPEARS MEN! VICTORY SHALL BE OURS!" He stood in front of the charge of over 150 horsemen, alone. But he did not give a single inch of ground. He met the charge of the next man in line, roaring vengefully, possessed by all the rage and power that had accumulated in his body over these past years. The horsemen shrieked like a pack of hyenas, fanning out, each eager for a piece of the man who had brought down their leader. //I did not create the book cover. Chronicles of Draconian Empire:The God of balance

In the world of Drasia, where diverse lands and cultures intertwine, the focus of attention shifted dramatically to the Olympus civil war, a conflict that threatened to reshape the balance of power across the realm. Amidst this turmoil stood the city-state of Draconia, a formidable and influential entity known for both its prowess in trade and its swift, decisive actions against any who dared to oppose it. At the heart of this turbulent landscape emerged the enigmatic figure of Alex, known as the God of Balance. With his keen strategic mind and unparalleled leadership, Alex led his armies not only in battle but also in the advancement of civilization itself. He provided them with the tools of war and the means to propel their societies forward. Yet, beneath his outward facade of strength and determination, Alex harbored a deeper understanding of the delicate equilibrium that governed the world. As the Olympus civil war raged on, Alex saw the need for intervention to restore balance. He marshaled his forces and intervened, aiming to bring about a swift conclusion to the conflict. However, as peace seemed within grasp, Alex witnessed a subtle shift, a realization that perhaps war itself was necessary to maintain the fragile equilibrium of the world. Join Alex on his journey as he navigates the intricate web of alliances and rivalries, leading the unofficially most potent nation in the world – the Empire of Draconia. Built upon the foundations of blood, sweat, and tears, Draconia embodies the vision and determination of its founder, Alex Luker Draco. As he grapples with the complexities of morality and power, Alex endeavors to ensure that his actions reflect the principles he espouses, shaping the destiny of nations and leaving an indelible mark on the tapestry of history. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ This is my first ever written novel came from my imagination that started in highschool although im not a skilled novel writer this is my first and many other stories i wish to release Release dates: only on fridays other days depending on the reason or context also i have to say sorry for the few dozen chapters since my editors were d*cks that they didnt properly format it.

Ok, so usually if a novel is going to have inconsistencies it is noticeable at the start. That is not the case with this novel. Minor Spoilers Ahead (not enough to ruin anything, but enough to give you an idea of the story) This novel started off explaining how Taku, the MC, is reincarnated and how he is a genius that "conquered" Earth in his previous life and now intends to conquer this new world. At first, he is overwhelmed by the crazy feats the villagers can do, but that is reasonable since even a genius can be amazed at the ability to jump across a village in a single leap. Taku gets his special ability, that all members of the race have, and leaves the village. He does some really cool stuff then goes into training and the novel looks awesome at this point, ch10-15. Next the author starts world building. He shows a few different perspectives from around the world and each of these side perspectives is that of someone with a special characteristic, so I expect that they will each play an important role in the future. I enjoyed each one of them and expect that the characters would be very entertaining in the future. Overall, so far, the character design is incredible and world building is off to a great start, ch25-30. Now, the training is over (obviously the MC completed the training). Taku now goes off to do a mission with another trainee. A bit more side perspectives... Back to mission. Here is where the first inconsistency really shows up and the story starts its downward spiral. It was stated when Taku was about to start training that he would get 1-on-1 weapons, spear and short-sword, training, for special reasons. Yet, when he goes on this mission he fights with spears and is just swinging it around with no idea how to use it. This is also where you start noticing an inconsistency with the power levels. But that is just a couple small inconsistencies and can be overlooked, ch35. Then we get another side character perspective. Starting to become a bit bothersome, but hey, we all love when good world-building finally comes together so move on. Now is when we start noticing that Taku isn't quite the genius he was made out to be and a bit more inconsistency. Taku is a team leader and is on his way, one week out, to meet his team mid-mission, so what does he decide to do? Do some training on the way, quite irresponsible in my opinion. So he meets up with his team and guess what, HE WAS 2 WEEKS LATE! So mid-mission, he decided to take a 2 week detour. So either the author was inconsistent in his writing or Taku is a terrible team leader, ch45. Then Taku does a couple more foolish things, the power levels are incredibly inconsistent, and the story is in a nose-dive. I expect it to crash hard, with no surivors, very soon. I REALLY liked this novel and lots of potential at the start, but unfortunately I don't expect it to save itself and expect it to lose readers until the author drops it midway. Author, if you are reading this, I recommend going back to the training and start rewriting. Just fix the inconsistencies and make Taku at least a decent leader or make him at least a semi-soloer. Especially fix the romance thing you have going on. Either let them **** and Taku get it out of his system so he can focus on his goals (my recommendation), or rewrite it out and level off the romance so that it happens at a better time. He states repeatedly that he is a full grown man, but you make him act like a teenager when it comes to his emotions. And fix/better define the power levels. You show that he can barely fight a level 1 beast, but then a few chapters later he is insta-killing level two beasts and fighting level 4s. And if not then start over with a new novel, I think you have a lot of potential as a writer. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the novel at the start and really hope that it can be rewritten somewhat to allow for the world-building and character building, excluding the MC, to show off their potential.
