Coming of the Apocalypse Queen

In the year 2XXX, a blue meteor from outer space landed on Earth and signaled the dawn of the apocalypse. More than 60% of the population was wiped out by a mysterious disease. Plants and animals turned into mutants. People gained powers and abilities. The world and the government collapsed and turned into a world where only the strong is respected while the weak are doomed to die. Lilian Mo didn't have a good life during the apocalypse. She was reduced to being a possession of her fiancé and became his glorified bed warmer. He kept her locked up in his villa and rarely allowed her to go out, keeping her around as his pet that he took care of. Though it was considered a luxury to be able to eat three times a day and drink clean water in the apocalypse when all the water sources are contaminated, Lilian Mo sneered at this kind of life and escaped her confinement meeting people along the way and gaining an ability on her own. She found 'friends' during her journey and fought alongside them through life and death, only to be betrayed by them. Lilian Mo died tragically when she was pushed to a group of mutant animals by her so-called 'friend' whom she treated as a sister. When it seemed like everything was going to end for her, she opened her eyes and went back to her sixteen-year-old body, two months before the apocalypse. "The heavens have not forsaken me." Lilian Mo swore to grow stronger and take revenge on those that betrayed her trust. Lucky for her, she was reborn with the knowledge of the future and given her own special dimension. Her golden cheats allowed her to sail through the apocalypse without worrying about food or water. After waking up two months before the apocalypse, Lilian Mo decided to set her eyes on the people that wronged her. ▪▪▪ A story about a girl's journey to becoming stronger while trying to survive in the apocalyptic world and facing the man of her past. ▪▪▪ Reminding my readers that this book's rating is [No One 17 And Under Allowed] which means it contains mature content not suitable for young readers. Read at your own discretion. This also includes gore, violence, abuse, and explicit content because the setting is an apocalyptic world. The Half-Mutant

"Xiao Ji, get back and go to Jiaojiao." Lilian Mo ordered as she estimated the half-mutant's level.

It was at Level three. That was no problem.

She could take it on and even if the rest of the team were only at Level two, as long as their numbers were greater, they could defeat it. Mu Qingqing was also at Level three then there's Lu Jingren.

Lilian Mo was not sure of his level but she was sure that he was also strong. Atleast, strong enough to fight that half-mutant.

But then again, the strengths of half-mutants were different from other mutants. She remembered Lin Fang who became a half-mutant at Level seven and yet his strength was too strong for him to be a mere Level seven since he alone had killed an entire base all by himself.

Then this thing who was only at Level three would probably be more powerful than its level.

"That thing can even speak." Fu Yangzhu said, gripping his gun as it pointed at the half-mutant. He was the first to begin his fire. Mu Qianmo followed after him, as he also pulled his gun's trigger.

"I've never seen anything like it." He said.

The half-mutant hissed and swung its claws, splitting the bullets in half as if they were paper, and thoroughly surprising the two guys.

Fu Yangzhu's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you kidding me?"

The half-mutant was annoyed and it charged forward, screeching. "Evil human!" It howled, its red eyes glowing eerily as it headed straight for them with its claws posed to stab them.

Another series of gunshots were then heard. The others backed away, running to distance themselves from it. The bullets could hardly hurt their target. Its claws emitted a crackling sound and it swung even though it was still ten meters away from them.

Lilian Mo's eyes flashed. She grabbed the back of Zhang Youji's clothes and pulled the child out of the way.

A few bolts of lightning fell from the sky, creating holes in the ground. Lin Jiaojiao erected her barrier and defended against it while the others dodged, rolling away.

Lilian Mo dumped Zhang Youji behind Lin Jiaojiao. "Take care of him."

"Got it, Big sister Mo!" Lin Jiaojiao affirmed as she fortified the cracks on the barrier, sending her energy to mend them.

The half-mutant made another screeching sound that resounded across the area, making them wince as it nearly raptured their eardrums. It was an annoying and grating sound much worse than chalk being dragged wrongly across a blackboard.

Mizuki Rei shouted. "Brother Qian, the guns aren't working. Don't waste bullets anymore."

"I know, I know." Mu Qianmo placed his gun away. He extended his two hands.

The metals from the fences around them started to vibrate as he focused. He called them to him. Those metal objects instantly flew in his direction, gravitating around his body, similar to how the planets revolved around the sun. He compressed the metals together, molding their shapes into long thorns that were one meter in size.

There weren't many metal ability users that were skilled but it just so happened that Mu Qianmo had studied a bit of metallurgical engineering and was very knowledgeable about what things were metallic objects. With the help of his ability, he could also sense these metallic objects that were nearby and could will them to change shapes.

He moved his hand before hurling those thorns towards the half-mutant, intending to skewer it to death. The half-mutant was extremely sensitive so it was able to detect the danger and was prepared to dodge these attacks.

"Oh no, you don't." Mizuki Rei threw a dagger at it, catching its attention. The half-mutant batted the dagger away with its hand but Mizuki Rei controlled the dagger's trajectory with the wind almost as if he was controlling it with telekinesis. It evaded the half-mutant's hand and managed to hit its arm.

Mizuki Rei was expecting the dagger to sink through its limbs but the loud 'Clang!' was suddenly heard by all of them and the dagger broke into two when it hit the half-mutant's skin.

"An armorlike skin." Mizuki Rei noted as he lamented over his lost dagger. That was fine. He was given a pair and there was still one. He would not get angry. He would...

"Fxck!" He cursed, enraged that he lost a weapon. "How am I supposed to fight now!?"

"Damn! I don't want a single dagger! I want a pair of daggers!" Mizuki Rei raged as he set his eyes on the half-mutant that had destroyed his dagger.

"Atleast, you still have another dagger, Little Rei!" Fu Yangzhu reminded just as Mu Qianmo's metallic thorns speeded towards the half-mutant that had gotten angry when the dagger hit its skin. It was not wounded but the attack towards it made it annoyed.

"Roar!" The half-mutant reacted fast. It suddenly turned its body and rolled to the side.

Bam! Bam!

Once it rolled away, a few deep thorns were left on the ground, half of them had sunk on the ground. The remaining ones flew over, still chasing their target. The half-mutant growled, swinging its claws and slicing through the thorns.

Vines sprouted from the ground and grabbed onto its limbs, hindering its movements. Fu Yangzhu had also placed his gun away and had resorted to using his wood ability since it was obvious to everyone that the half-mutant's skin was too tough that even bullets couldn't pierce through it.

The thorns once again flew towards the half-mutant but this time, the half-mutant opened its mouth and screeched so loud, that the surrounding area began to vibrate.

The thorns shattered due to the strong vibrations in the air. Mu Qianmo spat blood from his mouth while his hands moved to cover his ears.

The others grimaced as they also covered their ears, trying to shield them from the sound.

Lin Jiaojiao and Zhang Youji were both safe inside the barrier so they didn't feel the effects of the vibrations while Lilian Mo and Mu Qingqing were on a safe distance.
