Yeah no, this is literally just a whole Chinese gas lighting up to the fullest. Like imagine knowing the whole plot yet expecting you can change something, hell in the story the fmc left for a while before they were married (meaning she met the original Mc a while and the plot happened) yet the mc just started to simp his way to a broken heart. All in all there’s too much male supremacy and stupid mindset of the Mc, legit wanted to commit my own death after realizing that this is more of a revenge on cheaters that aren’t cheaters.

honestly just another cliche chinese novel , the mc hides his power leading to unnecessary and boring drama . the female lead offers nothing other than a pretty face and there is no real direction to the story other than useless drama smh, the only good quality is the translations which i think is wasted on this book . if a story like "journey to become a true god" had this type of translation it would be peak. There are some things I don't like about the plot, but that's not the fault of the translator, the translation is done perfect and I don't have the heart to give this anything less than five stars.

The translator is good but the story dies when he chooses the poison girl as the main heroine. She lacks the finesse, character, and conviction to be the main girl. She is at best a good side piece to keep in the background because she offers hardly anything besides a pretty face in this story. The MC is a hypocrite and some of the people are OOCs. The romance is bland with no chemistry or build-up at all.

Pretty good so far. I see some people complaining about him falling for Xun'er despite knowing the plot. But, I can see that happening. She basically spent most of her childhood in the Xiao clan, making his memories with her insignificant. And since she's the main heroine, he'll fantasize about her. Given the fact that they don't have many memories together, he'll, to a point, ignore the fact that she's still a kid and fantasize about the future, adult her. I also saw some complaining about emotional blackmailing. I say, why don't you complain about the k**lings, too? But I know that you're just worried that he'll be led around by her. Don't worry, he won't be.
