Chapter 5

Yang got up from the wood floor as he looked at her a bit cautiously, turning my head to Mochiko. "Why is there a marine on your brigade?" He questioned Mochiko as he replied, "She's not a marine, that's just a coat she took." Going back to pulling the anchor up.

"Well, uh, thanks?"

Yang said a bit confused as he lends his hand out to her, she looked at him up to down and back up to his face. She smirks a bit as she shakes his hand.

"Grace Sinclair."

She introduced herself as Yang replied, "Hakaru Yang.". This also surprised Grace as she asked, "You use your last name?" he nodded in response. "Only a few people use their last names, Who's your dad?" Grace kept pondering questions as Mochiko began to set sail. "I…didn't get to know my dad too well…" Yang responded a bit regretful as he rubbed his left arm.

She picked up on this as she quit asking on that, asking "Well, where are you two heading?".

"Uhh—"

"Pirate Town, the bounty for Ember "Rosendale" Watson was last posted in Pirate Town."

"Watty?" She responded surprised.

"Do you know Ember?" Yang asked Grace.

"N-No, Wrong person with the same last name, sorry about that." She chuckled a little, sighing a bit.

Just then Yang realized about his photos, taking them out from his pockets as they were soaked, he scoffed a bit as he looked for a place to let them dry. "Hey captain?" Yang as Mochiko, who was driving the boat. "What is it kid?" Mochiko replied as he steered the ship heading towards Pirate Town.

"Can I use your room to dry my personal belongings?"

"Why do that?"

"They're soaking wet, and I need them dried, but also somewhere private."

"Alright, just this once though." Mochiko scoffed a bit annoyed by these requests.

"Thank you!" He bowed politely before heading into his room in his brigade. Meanwhile, Grace looked towards where they were sailing. Watty is at Pirate Town… Grace clenched her hand into a fist as she had fingerless gloves on. The winds and seas weren't rough, they were calm as the wind was enough to take them to places rather quickly.

Mochiko used a compass as he made small adjustments while sailing as Yang walked out of the captains' room a less worried about the photos now. "How long until we reach Pirate Town Mochiko?" Yang asked as Mochiko replied, "At the speed we're going at, maybe like 10 minutes tops.".

He sighed as he walked over to where the cannons were stationed, looking at them as he knocked on the exterior of it. Klink Klink! The cannons were loaded, sounded heavy on the inside of it. We waited for Mochiko to sail to Pirate town.

We arrived at Pirate Town's Port as our brigade was pretty beaten up but still functional. I tied the rope down as Mochiko anchored it just in case. Mochiko and Grace hopped off his brigade and onto the wooden walkway. Yang stood up as he looked over at Grace, asking "Are you tagging along with us?". "I am, why?" Grace replied confused, Yang was also confused since they've only known this person for about fourteen minutes.

"Mochiko, are you okay with her tagging along?"

"I'm sure, if she saved you from drowning, she could stay with us for the time being."

He said rather uninterested, heading into pirate town as Grace and Yang followed. Pirate Town was not what they expected, when they walked in, they noticed that there weren't any civilians around. Although it's called Pirate Town, there are civilians that live in the vicinity. "Where is everyone?" Yang asked, Mochiko and Grace were thinking the same.

Something's off…Pirate town is usually populated and booming…but…why is it so quiet…

Mochiko looked around as he took a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling slightly as he closed his eyes. Instinct! He thought to himself, seeing his surroundings in a full 360 degrees range. His eyes were closed but he was able to see two red coat pirates hiding on the bridge above them, three behind some barrels and two sharpshooters in two houses.

Mochiko opened his eyes as he said to them, "It's an ambush…" as soon as he said that BANG! A gunshot goes off as Mochiko's head exploded. "MOCHIKO!!" Yang shouted as he saw his body drop to the floor. Yangs ears began to ring a bit as he looked at the body, shaking his head he turned to see where it came from. BANG! Another shot went off as Yang was hit in the leg, dropping to a knee as he looked at the bullet hole, seeing his leg bleeding.

His hands were beginning to tremble as he'd never been in a situation like this before. The pirates that were hiding on the bridge jumped down as Grace looked up. One of the pirates landed as Grace roundhouse kicked that pirate, being grabbed from behind as she stomped on their foot.

Hearing them scream, Yang snapped out of it as He jumped out of the way of another musket shot. He got behind cover as he took time to breathe, Meanwhile Grace felt their grip lighten up slamming her head and ponytail straight into the red coat pirate's nose.

When they stumbled back, Grace knee'd them in the stomach before jumping up a bit and curve stomping their head into the pavement. BANG! Another gunshot went off this time aiming at Grace.

Grace looked and moved out of the way just in time and hid. "Hey Yang! Do that giant golden thing!!" She shouted as Yang looked and remembered he had that. Oh right, I'm a fruit user… He just remembered as he jumped out and began to glow, a loud BOOOM! Can be heard as Yang transformed into his buddha state.

Yep, A buddha…

She confirmed her suspicions as she got out of cover and ran over to Mochiko's body, dragging it as she could feel Mochiko's heartbeat. What the— Her thought was interrupted with a CRASSH!! Sound. Buddha Yang punched a building as the building collapsed in on itself.
