Synopsis

What happens if the one transcendent being that cares for mortals fell and got a second chance in a world full of magic, intrigue and possibly even friendships? Does the past determine the future or are we all able to pick our own destiny? An angel, one of the two nigh immortal species in existence, has been hunted and killed by his own kind because he wasn’t prepared to watch silently while his people followed their own desires to whatever end. When, against all odds, he opened his eyes again, he was someone else, his past and powers hidden deep within him. On an ancient world, with advanced magic but medieval technology, he was reborn as Cassandra Pendragon, the youngest daughter of one of the five royal families on Boseiju, the home of the fox tribe, the kitsune. As she grew up, who she was and who she had been, started shaping her future. Forgotten friends and unknown enemies began knocking at her door and while she struggled to find her way between the past and the present, the winds of war were already blowing across her home. I‘ll try to publish at least 2 chapters a week, probably more. The first story arc is pretty much mapped out. Should be around 150 or 160 chapters for the first volume (it’s taking much longer than I expected) and the second one is nearly finished as well. Try it, it should be one hell of a ride. One more thing: the first two chapters are more or less a prologue and if you want to, you can skip them, I wouldn’t recommend it, though. The writing style as well as the perspective shifts dramatically, afterwards. As for trigger warnings: it’s going to get gory from time to time, and the MC often has to pay a toll in blood. Additionally there are -mildly- sexualised scenes, once in a while, but nothing graphic. Lastly, somewhen webnovel changed the description box from female lead to female oriented. It’s mandatory and I can’t change it either way but I have no clue if the book is catering male or female preferences. I hope the description above makes up for whatever confusion it might cause.

This book needs a lot more attention. Frankly this is becoming of my favorites very fast. The writing quality is excellent beside common typos. The story seems to be well planned out and told in an engaging way which you will not want to stop. Characters are alive, develop and change at a great and realistic pace. Each character seems unique and slot into their roles well. The tone and journey of the characters feels realistic and fleshed out. It can be dark and sad, or slice of life to give a fuzzy moment. Well done on this author. Lastly the lore and world building is very very very interesting. It gives enough of an image to know what’s happening but not enough to feel like an info dump or take away the mystery of it all. The lore has great stories to give depth into each character and their actions though each encounter. 11/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone

Alright, first of all, a quick update on my plans: as of chap 155 the first arch is done. I thought about adding a few more chapters but truth be told, everything further down the road will belong to the next storyline. During the next week I’ll start publishing new chapters and I hope you’ll join me on the journey. Hopefully reading has been as much fun as writing and you’re going to stick around for the next round. Judging from the reviews and comments I’ve read thus far, thanks a ton by the way to everyone who took the time to provide some feedback, I’d say that I’m not completely off the mark. I took the last week to read through what I’ve written until now, and I have to admit, going through your own writing is quite challenging. There are some parts, especially in the beginning that are rather… bumpy. I don’t think it’s a huge problem but some scenes are just… a little off. Maybe I’ll take the time to rewrite them, but for now, I actually want to follow the story further. I guess it’s pretty obvious how it’s going to continue, with elves, fey and dragons waiting for a visit. So, to everyone who read until the end of the first arch, thank you, and to everyone who starts reading now, welcome to this world. Incredibly good story that is easy to follow but still unpredictable and surprising. The character development is good and well rounded which contributes to a good background to the book. Minor spelling mistakes but nothing major. Highly recommend this book for people with a thrill for action and love combined.

This is great 5/5. It's well written and the characters are designed very well. The only criticism I have would be for the synopsis actually. I had actually glanced at this story a few time but the synopsis just didn't really interest me and so i passed over it. But after reading I'm overly in love with it and I can't wait for the next chapter! I do hope our girls get a small break or a relaxed training arc for a few days since it seems from her birthday to the most recent chapter is like 1 maybe 2 weeks? Man that's a rough couple of days lol
