Xia Yan happily hitched a ride back to the Mo residence, and when she entered, she saw Jiang Qiu staring at her. She gazed at Qiu Xin, who was crying.

Xia Yan knew that Qiu Xin had complained about her. She ignored Qiu Xin and lowered her head to Jiang Qiu to greet her, "Hello there, Mother-in-law."

Jiang Qiu's temper flared when she heard Xia Yan's words. "Where were you? What did you do to Qiu Xin?! Look at how sad she is! Do you know what you did wrong?"

Xia Yan raised her eyebrows and looked at Jiang Qiu with a strange expression. Seeing that Xia Yan was silent, Jiang Qiu thought she had done something wrong and refused to let her go.

"You've only just married into my family, yet you're already so arrogant! You continue to disrespect your elders and bully the weak. You're such an unruly person!"

If Jiang Qiu knew how Qiu Xin behaved behind her back, she wouldn't have called Xia Yan unruly. However, Qiu Xin had always acted well, so she knew how to maintain a pitiful image before Jiang Qiu.

Qiu Xin instinctively avoided eye contact and used her handkerchief to cover the corners of her eyes. Then she cried even more pitifully.

Xia Yan chuckled and said to Jiang Qiu, "Mother-in-law, you don't know what really happened. Shouldn't we discuss it before pointing fingers?"

Jiang Qiu slowly turned and looked at Qiu Xin when she heard the voice recording. She held the handkerchief that she wiped Qiu Xin's tears with and revealed a cold expression.

Qiu Xin fiddled with her handkerchief in a panic, trying to think of a way to get out of this predicament.

Xia Yan turned off the recording and asked Jiang Qiu, "Do you still think I should apologize to Qiu Xin, Mother-in-law?"
