ch. 4 Bad News

Looking down the two Isle of the plane, Nick notice that Isle to the left didn't have anything major to obstructs the carts path. Although there was a lot of small items and rubble, but he didn't think they would be too much of a problem.

In addition, the food delivery cart was very fast to push, it will not cause any burden to Nick's movement. 'Fuck this is a stupid idea!'

Using napkins, rags and other soft items in the kitchen area to fill the food delivery cart, Nick persuade the mother to carefully stuff the baby into the soft nest, and then closed the door to avoid the risk of getting bitten

After that, the woman straddled the top of the the dining car, as she was too big to fit inside if the food cart like he originally thought. Leaning down, the woman closed her eyes and grasp the handle firmly with both hands, trying to make herself as small as possible.

"OPEN UP!"

Hearing a shout from Nick, they pulled down the wall of luggage, and readied there weapons. With everything being ready, all eyes were on Nick.

Taking in a deep breath, Nick tarted furiously pushed the delivery cart, and rushed to the opposite side of the corridor at the fastest speed he could do.Although there was no bodies obstructing the corridor, a lot of objects were still spilled because of the initial panic.

More importantly, snakes continue to slither along the Isle, forcing Nick to roll over snakes that got in the way of the cart. This caused the food cart to shake very violently, almost overturning several times, which also caused the woman lying on the food cart to scream involuntarily.

This may have only been a short distance of around forty feet, but for Nick it felt like a century of running as he had to forcefully keep the cart upright.

Just as the dining car was ten feet away from the second-class hatch, suddenly the food cart hit a major bump and the cart came to a dead stop.

It turned outs that Nick's ran straight into an extremely thick python and because the cart was blocking his view, Nick couldn't see the snake.

As the wheels of the cart delivery hit the snake torso, it came to a sudden stop causing Nick to hit his chest against the back of cart, knocking the air out of him, and causing him to fall to the floor.

The woman sitting on the dining car, because of inertia coming to an abrupt stop, suddenly went flying forward when the dining car fell, landing a few feet away from the entrance to the second-class cabin, and was dragged in by Julie and the others as they fended off the snakes

Someone wanted to rush over to help Nick, but saw the dozens of snakes surrounding him and froze. These people wanted to save Nick, but they didn't want to die for him, especially not when they have a family to protect upstairs.

Nick shook his head and stood up, finally able to catch his breath, while holding onto a seat to get up.

Suddenly, Nick felt something slithering on the back of his hand. Looking down, he saw a red and white snake crawling up from the seat onto the back of Nick's hand, as if sensing sensing Nick's intent, the snake looked into Nick's eyes and gave a bone chilling hiss to Nick.

The snake coiled slightly before launching forward to attack, as the snake was midair, Nicks hand moved at lightning speed and grabbed its midsection, slamming it as hard as he could into the floor.

With a splt, the snake head smashed into the floor, leaving small pink grey matter to ooze out of it's cracked skull. Throwing the snakes body infront of him, Nick looked around and felt every hair on end stand up.

Although he eliminated the snake, Nick realized that he was now surrounded by many other venomonous snakes ready to attack at a moments notice. Regardless whether it was the front, back, left, or right, there were venomous snakes of different colours and sizes spiting out a low hiss, before slithering towards him.

Gritting his teeth, Nick pulled off another seat tray before shouting the one line he remembered from the movie that fit this situation. "I'm tired of these mother fucking snakes on this mother fucking plane!"

While talking, a black poisonous snake suddenly ejected, opening its fangs and biting fiercely at Nick. Lifting up the tray, he slapped away the black snake in the opposite direction, only to see a red snake bitting into his leg! Thankfully it didn't bite through the magazine, but it infuriated Nick.

Slamming his tray downward, the piece of hardened plastic broke the spine of the, snake killing it. As he focused on the other incoming snakes.

Try as he might, there are too many venomous snakes surrounding him, no matter how quick and powerful he was, there was a snake that slipped past Nick's defenses.

Soon Nick felt that his armoured right leg was being attacked, but before he could look down, he felt a searing pain on his shoulder, as if two red hot nails were hammered into his shoulder.

"Ahhhhh!!!!"

After being bitten, Nick immediately stopped trying to fight and decided to run for it, as he had mere moments before the poison takes affect.

Using the pointy end of the plastic, Nick stabbed the snakes dead and stuffed it's corpse into his pants pocket before he desperately stepped forward and rushed to the side of crashed dining car. Without any fear of the poisonous snake on the food cart, he smashed through the plastic door of the of the cart and took out the crying baby hidden inside.

It was in this moment, the snakes started to attack Nick's legs several times. Although there was multiple layers or paper and duct wrapped around him, Nick was not sure that he could completely block the snake's fangs from piecing into his arms for too long

Kicking a few snakes away, Nick could not see any way of trudging through those snakes without the baby getting bitten, so he did the only thing that he could do.

"Catch it!!" Winding up his arm, Nick through the child towards the Second cabin entrance. As the baby soared throught the air, an athletic looking Asian man was able to safely catch the baby in his arms.

At the same time, Nick made a desperate run towards the doorway, shouting "Move out of the way! Get a weapon to kill these fuckers on me!"

As he finish speaking, he had already rushed into the second-class cabin. Fortunately, after this period of time, the surviving passengers have had some experience in dealing with these snakes. Seeing Nick rushing in with some poisonous snakes all over him, two men with fire extinguishers stepped forward and sprayed vigorously at Nick.

As Nick felt the intensely cold foam spray all over his body, he mentality cursed himself for playing the hero. The other also stepped forward to help, hitting and smashing the snakes, although Nick also suffered a lot of the blows from the people, the poisonous snake hanging on his body were finally killed.

Nick, despite being covered in the cold foam, anxiously said "C-come on, we need to b-block the entrance first, I don't want to deal with any more snakes!" As the cold was seeping into his body, his teeth clattered unconsciously.

A flight attendant stepped forward, holding Nick shoulder and said solemnly "Agent, don't worry, we are already doing it. You are safe now, it's okay..."

Hearing those words, Nick finally let out a sigh if relief, before suddenly everything went dark and he passed out.

----------

Nick didn't know how much time had passed, before he suddenly opened his eyes. What ended up catching his eye was the stewardess Julia watching over him as he woke up. She smiled joyfully: "Thank you, agent, you finally woke up."

Nick felt that his face was wet, looking at the wet towel in the stewardess's hand, he remembered that her just been bitten.

He struggled to sit up and frowned, "How long was I out? what is the situation now?"

"There is good news, and bad news," Willie walked over and said, "Which one do you want to hear first?"

Nick smiled bitterly: "At a time like this, you still have time to horse around huh. Okay, I'll hear the bad news first."

"The bad news is that we've lost the second class cabin and everyone has evacuated to first class."

"What about the good news?"

"The good news is..." Willie suddenly punched Nick deeply and laughed, "You didn't have to worry about anything, the snakes that bit your is the T-trimorpho v-vandenburg.... or some shit like that. Apparently its non lethal but apparently it causes severe fatigue, terrible chills, intense cold sweats and a major headache"

Closing his eyes, Nick focused on how his body felt and realized Willie was wrong, as he felt relatively fine except for a minor headache. Nick's eyes widened.

'Did my organs become stronger after absorbing that man, that makes me better at dealing with venom?' Realizing how absorbing the human affected him, Nick stood up and changed the subject.

"When did you become the snake expert?"

"When I started using this phone" Willie walked over and showed him a text screen.

"When I heard I heard about you getting bitten, I rushed downstairs and recover the snake corpse that had bitten you. After commandeering a passangers phone, I took a picture of it, and sent it to the snake expert that the N.I.A. got ahold of. Alongside every dead snake we could get ahold of to get the proper anti-venom."

Hearing the news, Nick let out a long sigh, . "That is really good news..."

The moment Nick finished speaking, the light above their heads flickered a few times and then suddenly went out.

The entire plane suddenly plunged into darkness.
