An Ambush Before The Capital

Tomoya was riding with Suzu and Tio up front while Ryutaro sat in the back. Yue and the other girls were in Eden. Tomoya did not want them to face any danger while they were pregnant. Being in a dungeon where Tomoya could control the situation was one thing, but being outside under the watchful eyes of enemies all around, she did not dare risk it.

"My dear Tomo, I do believe we are in for a rough time." Tio suddenly spoke up.

"Oh? Why is…." Tomoya did not even get a chance to finish what she was saying when the hover car she was in suddenly tipped sideways and tumbled side over side until finally coming to a stop. 

"What the hell!?" Tomoya yelled in anger. Her poor car! She worked hard on this thing! It took a whole ten minutes to make! 

"Roar!!!!!"

A loud roar was heard from outside. Tomoya quickly put the hovercar away this allowed them to quickly exit it and get ready for battle. But to her surprise, what was waiting for her was a giant. A thirty foot tall bipedal one eyed humanoid. But half of its skull was missing, and there was rotting flesh everywhere.

"A Cyclopse!?" Tio cried out. "Those have not been around for over a million years!" 

"Then why does it still have so much skin on it?" Tomoya asked as she took her gunblade out and readied herself. 

"I do not know. Only necromancy would be able to preserve the skin, but to have such a monster like this is basically impossible." Tio replied, a bit of fear evident in her voice.

This fear was not misplaced. Tomoya also felt that this monster was much stronger than anything she had faced before. "So, how does one normally kill an undead?"

"You can only cut off its head," Tio answered.

"Then Suzu, I leave protection and healing to you. Ryu, you attack with Tio. Draw its attention as long as you can. Suzu will back you three up. I will go in for the kill. My gunblade can cut through anything, but I need to get above it." Tomoya yelled out her orders before rushing to the left. She had to get at this thing from a blind spot. 

Tio did not hesitate to turn into a dragon. Ryutaro ran towards its feet, and Suzu stayed in the back, ready to stick a barrier on those who needed it.

"Roar!" The giant suddenly raised its foot and stomped down towards Ryutaro. 

Its huge foot could squash a house with ease, never mind a small human like Ryutaro. But luckily he had picked up some speed skills to enable him quick action in times like these. He quickly boosted his speed and dodged out of the way, but he also did not let this chance slip by. He skidded to a stop, launched toward the foot, and slammed his fist into it. But instead of doing anything to the giant, a loud cracking sound was heard, and Pain shot up through Ryutaro's arm. "Ahh! Shit! What the fuck is this made of!?"

"Ryu!" Suzu cried out. She quickly casted healing magic on him. The cracking sound was so loud she heard it clear as day. 

"Shit, thanks, Suzu!" Ryutaro knew he was useless, so he quickly retreated.

"Take this!" Tio's war cry filled the sky as she blasted the giant with a full powered breath attack.

*BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!*

The ground under the giant shattered, creating a crater fifty feet deep with a radius of three hundred feet. 

"Roar!" The giant roared in anger as it felt its skin burning under the intense heat of the flames.

Tomoya was watching everything from the side and could only hope the blade on her gunblade that could slice things at a microscopic level was going to be able to cut through the giant's skin. The stench alone was already bad enough but to deal with something that seemed like a giant walking fortress. "Here goes nothing!"

Tomoya stepped into the air from the back of the giant and got high enough so that she could jump down and use the force of gravity to help her slice the head off this monster. "Down I go!"

Tomoya released her magic and fell down. She extended her blade and raised it above her head. When she was just about to reach the giant, she swung down with all her strength.

*Shink!*

The sweet sound of her blade slicing through flesh was heard. The giant who was getting ready to attack again stopped in mid motion. Its head spun through the air as it separated from the massive body. 

*Boom!*

Another dent in the earth below was formed as the head smashed into the ground. Tomoya caught herself in the air. She looked at the giant's headless body that was still standing and let out a sigh of relief. She was glad about two things. First that she won and second that her wives that were pregnant were in Eden. It seemed an unknown enemy of this world that might have been planned at some point had surfaced. The person who took Kouki was probably the only person who could do something like this. "I will need to be on my guard and try to get some information if I can. Because I know that idiot fake god would never send such a monster."
