Muten Roushi stood up and clapped his hands "Alright! That's enough for sparring or else you won't have strength during the Tenkaichi Budoukai. The most you could do is run at full speed or punch air to see how much force your punch holds"

"Yes!" The three disciples answered at the same time

Hearing Muten Roushi guiding them into getting used to their newfound strengths they did just that and measured how high they could jump, how fast they could run, and how strong they could punch, etc.

After they familiarize themselves with their newfound strength, speed, and flexibility, night came and they prepared to leave for the next day.

"Make sure to sleep early so we can leave early for tomorrow!"

The day of the tournament came and Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and Muten Roushi disguised Jackie Chun registered for the tournament

'At what I see from Goku's talent. He's already surpassed me in terms of ki. The only thing I have on edge is my experience that comes from old age. I guess I can only take this seriously as I could' Muten Roushi sighed as he thought and registered looking at Goku from afar

Yamcha who checked the board said as he looked at the tournament board and saw that he was on the second half of the second block and Goku and Krillin were in the first and second half of the third block "This is great! We won't meet each other until the preliminaries are over! Do your best Goku, Krillin! So we could meet in the main tournament!"

"Of course! Do your best too!" Goku responded as he smiled

Krillin also nodded with his face showing excitement

"Ok! We will now begin the preliminaries of the third block! #69 and #70 please step on the stage!" The referee called out

"I'm up already!" Goku said as he went up the stage

"Remember to hold back Goku!" Krillin advised as he knew Goku's strength

"Alright!" Goku replied as he stood on top of the stage and nodded towards Krillin

Goku just stood on the stage and his huge opponent with the physique of a wrestler said "What the hell is this? There's no satisfaction in beating up a tiny ant like this!"

"I hope you're as strong as your trash talk!" Goku said and just stood up without a stance because he knew the extent of his strength

"You have one minute to begin!" The referee said

"I'll send you flying with one punch!" The opponent said to Goku

"Alright come at me!" Goku relied

The opponent punch as hard as he could towards Goku but in Goku's eyes he was too slow

Goku caught the punch of his opponent and said "So weak and slow"

Getting the surrounding to be in shock as they severely underestimated Goku

Goku who caught the punch with his right hand pulled on his opponent's hand and rotated his body to the right, sending his kick on the stomach of his opponent. He didn't put much force just enough to send his opponent flying off stage to show his strength for his opponent not to underestimate him

The referee who was shocked still said "N-number 70 is the winner!"

A fighter who was watching said "Wha-what just happened?"

The fighter on his left said "That k-kid is so strong… We we're wrong to underestimate him. I'm lucky I'm not in the same block as him.

"Goku I told you to hold back" Krillin said as he talked to Goku

"I did hold back. Look at him, he's still conscious." Goku said he pointed at the guy he sent flying who was surprised at Goku's strength

"I-I see…" Krillin replied as he was surprised at Goku's amount of control on his strength.

As Krillin responded two young monks recognized him and approached them and said "Oh! Is that you, Krillin?!"

They approached Krillin and the fat man out of the two said "Hehe! It really is Krillin."

The other young monk who was thin said as well "Long time no see… Last time was when you ran out of Oorin Temple crying, wasn't it?"

Krillin looked at them and remembered his past where he was bullied but remembered how he took Goku's kamehameha without dying so he smirked "It was tears of joy, Senpai… Because I don't need to associate with pieces of trash such as you."

"What? Just because you've left the place you think you can mock us?" The thin senpai of Krillin said angrily

"What's your number?"

"93." Krillin replied

"That's great, I can beat the shit out of you because you're against me in the next match"

"I hope your trash talk is as great as your strength!" Krillin replied as he snorted

The senpai of Krillin just snorted angrily "Watch your back!"

"Next up, We have #93 and #94!"

Krillin smiled as he stood on top of the stage and went into a stance his opponent also went into a stance and had a malicious smirk on his face

"Begin!" The referee said

Krillin moved fast as if he teleported to the stomach of his opponent and kicked him as hard as he could and he went through the walls of the place where the tournament was taking place

"W-winner… #93!"

Krillin went down the stage and was confronted by Goku's voice "You told me to hold back but you don't hold back yourself

Krillin just laughed and said as he scratched his head embarrassed "I forgot to hold back… hahaha…"

Goku finally reached the finals of the first half of third block

"We will now begin the first match in the third block that will decide the fighter that will continue onto the tenkaichi budoukai!"

"Goo! Goku! You can do it!" Krillin cheered

"Go! Goku!" Yamcha also cheered

"Begin!"

Goku went into a fighting stance with his right hand forward with a fist and his left hand backward with a fist that he thought currently fitted his current physical abilities

The opponent said as he also went into a fighting stance with his right hand pointing towards the sky and his index and middle finger sticking out and his other hand into a relaxed palm close to his waist

"There's no way my shishiga style could be beaten by a kid! What a horrible stance… He's full of openings… Alright!'

The opponent rushed towards Goku and punched with his left fist "Taaaah!"

Goku jumped up fast that he seemingly disappeared

"He disappeared?! No! Above!" The opponent put his hands on the floor and used his feet to attack Goku who was falling down

Goku saw that he used his fist so he used he grabbed one of his legs and spun around his leg and used it's momentum to send a kick to his stomach

"Gah!" The opponent groaned in pain as he balanced himself and slowly turned into a stance

Goku who was in front of him said "Wanna give up?"

"No way!"

"Okay!" Goku said as he moved behind his back and kicked him in his back with enough strength to send him flying off the stage

"Ahhh!" The opponent screamed as he was sent flying

"Ring out! #70 is the winner! He will continue on to the Tenkaichi Budoukai!"

Goku jumped down the stage and was confronted by Krillin "You did it Goku!"

"Great job Goku!" Yamcha said to Goku

"Thanks! Hehe!"

Krillin beat the shit out of his opponent and also proceeded to the Tenkaichi Budoukai

They went ahead and met towards Bulma and the others outside

"How did the tournament go? Yamcha?" Bulma asked

"It went great! All of us are in the final eight!"

"That's great! You're all amazing! I knew you could do it!" Bulma replied in delight being happy with them being in the final eight

Goku asked Bulma while he saw them "Why didn't you participate as well? As I saw you could have beaten most of them with your training with Grandpa"

"No way. It's enough that I know how to defend myself. I don't wanna seek fights myself!" Bulma shaked his head in reply

"I see… Well… Good luck to the three of us! I will see one of you in the finals!" Goku said as he looked at Krillin and Yamcha

"Yeah, I will see you there too, Goku!" Yamcha said

Krillin then replied "Hey! You don't know that for sure! I'll beat you two if I come across you in the tournament!"

Goku just laughed and said "Well… Let's do our best! I'll give my all to whoever my opponent is!"
