Chapter 18 - Tenkaichi Budoukai

Muten Roushi with Goku, Yamcha, Krillin and Launch reached home...
"You're back! Huh? Who's this girl?" Bulma said as she saw them come back with Launch
Muten Roushi put Launch in front of him and said "This girl is Launch... Being the only girl in the group might leave you a bit bored so I brought her with me since she doesn't have any place to stay. Moreover, this girl knows how to cook."
"Really? Thanks! Old man! We can finally stop eating Oolong's mediocre food." Bulma replied with relief
"What do mean mediocre food? Anyway I don't have to cook anymore right? that's great..." Oolong retorted Bulma's reply but agreed anyway
Bulma approached Launch and held her hands "Hi! I'm Bulma"
Launch smiled in happiness at this gesture and replied "Hello! I'm Launch!"
"Nice to meet you! Sorry to impose on you but it's about dinner time so..." Bulma said halfway
"I don't mind! I like cooking anyway!" Launch replied as she smiled
"That's great! I'll help you along the way you cook."
Launch and Bulma began to cook while Muten Roushi conversed with his students
"Now that you know your training regime, I guess I can leave you to it alone right?" Muten Roushi asked his students while caressing his beard
"Yes!" The three replied to Muten Roushi's question respectfully

As Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha training in the training menu devised by Muten Roushi, Muten Roushi also took Bulma as an outer disciple along with Launch as she also wanted to learn. Because the two are more of city girls, he didn't think they would want the same training as the three so he taught them, Gentle fist which is just to be able to defend oneself against ordinary people and be able to compete a little with amateur martial artists.

8 months passed and finally the Tenkaichi Budoukai arrived...
"Now... You're special training is over... The next event is the Tenkaichi Budoukai!"
"Yes!" The three disciples answered but has doubt on their faces
"What's with your faces? You've completed my special training, you should be proud of yourselves" Muten Roushi asked while looking at their faces
Yamcha answered "Well... All we've been doing was physical training we never had martial arts training..."
Goku and Krillin nodded in agreement with Yamcha while they also looked at Muten Roushi
"I see... take off your turtle shells and see how high you can jump." Muten Roushi said as he caressed his beard
The three looked at each other and followed the instruction although in doubt
The three jumped up and looked below seeing Muten Roushi so small as they jumped so high
While they are still in the sky they looked at each other in disbelief not believing they jumped so high.
after jumping so high they reached the ground and looked at Muten Roushi in amazement
Muten Roushi nodded and said "That's the result of your training. My training only focuses in physical training instead of martial arts training because I want my students to make their own martial path instead of following mine. I want my students to surpass me instead of following my footsteps."
The three disciples nodded in understanding as they understood why they just did physical training.
"Tomorrow, we will depart for the Tenkaichi Budoukai that will be taking place in 2 days. Familiarize yourselves with your newfound strengths!" Muten Roushi instructed as he went to sit down on a chair outside the kame house
"Yamcha! Spar with me!" Goku said in excitement
"Alright!" Yamcha said as he clenched his fist in excitement
"Hey! Hey! Me too!" Krillin chimed in as well in excitement
Yamcha then replied to Krillin "Goku and me will spar first you can go next."
"Okay!" Krillin sat down in opposite of Muten Roushi and looked at Goku and Yamcha who were about to spar.
"Here I come Goku! Rougafufuken!" Yamcha said as he jumped towards Goku three times his usual speed
Goku was surprised at Yamcha's speed as his eyes was still not used to that kind of speed so he jumped to side, surprisingly he saw that his speed was five times faster than before his training with Muten Roushi
As Goku dodged Yamcha's kick, he dashed towards Yamcha and kicked his face, Yamcha saw this and got scratched by Goku's kick to the side of his and jumped away
Yamcha opened and closed his hands and said in disbelief "Is this my body?"
Muten Roushi who was watching laughed lightly and said "Of course it's your body. If not yours is it mine?"
Yamcha nodded and looked at Goku and went to his usual Wolf Fang Fist stance
Goku changed his stance to what his grandpa taught him with his left hand in front facing the sky and his right hand on the side of his waist. Goku rushed towards Yamcha and punched his face with his right hand, Yamcha dodged and seeing Yamcha dodging he dropped to the ground and spun kick backwards with his right leg causing Yamcha to jump up. As Yamcha jumped up, Goku used both of his hands as a boost and kicked towards Yamcha's jaw.
"Gah!" Yamcha couldn't dodge and groaned in pain as he was sent flying away but he backflipped and stood tall on the ground
"As expected of Goku, you're really strong!" Yamcha said in amazement
"Hehe. There's something I want to try. Be sure to dodge this or your gonna die." Goku said as he went into a Kamehameha stance
Muten Roushi who was watching looked at Goku in surprise but not really as he saw the improvement of Goku's ki everyday and warned Yamcha "Be sure to dodge, Yamcha or you're really gonna die!"
Yamcha nodded at Muten Roushi as he recognized Goku's stance, Yamcha rushed towards Goku
"Kaaaaa... Me.... Ha.... Me.... Haaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!" Goku said as used Kamehameha going towards Yamcha
Yamcha dodged to the right as he rushed towards Goku to dodge the Kamehameha and kicked Goku in the face as he was still in the Kamehameha motion.
Goku saw this and deactivated the Kamehameha and dropped to the ground and kicked Yamcha's leg that was on the ground causing Yamcha to fall to the ground whereas Goku jumped up and kick Yamcha who was laying on the ground with momentum. As Yamcha also improved he saw the and used his hands to push the ground and dash away as he backflipped.
Yamcha stood up and looked at the destruction caused by the Kamehameha and laughed "How destructive! That'll really kill me if that hit me."
Muten Roushi nodded "That was a great decision Yamcha. Jumping towards a Kamehameha and dodging at the last second in order to counter attack. Too bad, Goku was able to react and counterattacked."
Krillin's eyes shined and said "I wanna go next! I wanna fight against Goku"
Yamcha then dropped his stance and said "Alright."
Yamcha sat down in the chair where Krillin was originally sitting on and watch Goku and Krillin.
Goku looked at Krillin and said "Ready when you are!"
"Alright!" Krillin rushed towards Goku and kicked him in the jaw, where Goku dodged slightly to the right as to not waste any movements as he got used to the speed. and spun his body backwards with his right feet kicking towards Krillins stomach
Krillin saw this and used his hands to block as he knew it was too late to dodge. "Ouch! That hurt!" Krillin groaned in pain although he blocked
"Hehe!" Goku said as jumped towards Krillin and repeated the motion of his movements from before, he punched Krillin the head with his right hand whereas Krillin also dodges, and dropped to the ground and spun kick to make Krillin lose his balance and fall to the ground. Krillin who was quite nimble jumps up as well just like Yamcha
"Hehe!" Goku said as he used his hands as a boost and kicked Krillin in the jaw
"Gah!" Krillin groaned in pain as he was sent flying. Goku who was still in the sky said "Kamehameha!" but controlled his ki as he now knew how to do it. The force was as strong as a punch
Krillin was hit by the kamehameha "Ahhhhhhhh!" Krillin shouted in pain as he was sent flying to a tree.
Muten Roushi who was watching looked at Goku in amazement as he now actually was able to control ki output in the Kamehameha 'I took a really genius student!'
"Ow, ow, ow! Can't you hold back a little Goku!?!?!" Krillin complained as he stood up after crashing into a tree
"Hehe, I was already holding back."
Krillin also knew that Goku was holding back already seeing the force of the Kamehameha but just wanted to complain.
