Tldr: Support this book, if you like op mc establishing his hegemony in politically complex world. I feel positively surprised that this book got selected for trial read. I have already read all the raw ongoing chapters in the Google translate. I even made an account on Chinese Qidian to support the author by buying all the chapters. My review will obviously be quite biased but it's my honest opinion. The mc has an invincible city system. He is basically the god there, omniscient and omnipresent kind. Not just that, every time system upgrades, the city area increases almost exponentially. The catch is: time limit. He has one year for the system and needs to find fragments to increase system time. The characters are likeable and provide great support to mc and the plot. The mc is smart and makes preparations for the future. The antagonists aren't necessarily villains and the mc is destined to be an invader. There is political and diplomatic relations involved throughout the story I especially like the cultivation realms with different systems (as in Taoism, Buddhism, martial art, demon) but they are divided into different arithmetic numbers and a name for that specific realm with no small division of early, mid etc. This gives an intuitive judgement of one's strength without appearing bland. Leapfrogging realms is difficult but possible for one or two stages. There is still much in store with the novel but the author had been inconsistent with updates lately in contrast to huge number of updates initially. This might be due to lower popularity of this book in comparison to his other works. The creator of novel is a full time author. Please support him.

Now, this doesn t deserve the 5 stars, i enjoyed it, but it s not even 3 stars Writing quality It s well, quite bad, in a chapter the translator user "young daoist priest" like 10 times in a chapter, and a lot of words are just used again and again instead of changing them and making the story feel more smoothly and have a diversity.. a lot of stuff seem out of place too, i think the translator is quite lazy, but i still gave it 3 stars as it s readable and not many grammar mistakes. Story development Now i gave it 3 stars, it s moving quite well, not that fast and not slow either, as far as i read he already got the first expansion, and did some stuff there and there, although everyone seems to either attack him or not attack him, it s lacking regarding that and especially characters. Character design Now, i only gave it 1 star because, all of them beside like 3 people are 1 dimensional, and those who aren t, their way of talking feels forced, they say stuff they shouldn t do, they do stuff they shouldn t do, it s just out of place.. And we don t even know the blood demon's name at the chapter i left (like 39). Update stability Well, i started reading this yst, and from then till now there s no new update, it s been almost 2 days already, but i still gave it 3 stars. World background I don t rlly know what to say here, not too much not too less, we know where this happens, what s around it, i still don t know or i didn t understand about the sects around, where they are located and stuff like that, neither we know the planet we re located, overall it s quite average so i gave it 3 stars Overall 2.6
