"Oh, wow!" Students said, amazed. "It's All Might!"
"He really is a teacher!"
"Isn't that costume from the Silver Age?"
"It's style is so different, it's giving me goosebumps."
"I teach Basic Hero Training," All Might said. "It is a subject where you will learn the basic foundation of being a hero. You'll take the most units in this subject. This is what we'll be doing today." All Might flexed, then showed a card that said the word 'Battle.' "Combat training!"
Bakugo had an intense pressure around him as he smiled wickedly. Deku felt spooked since he was sitting right behind Bakugo.
"And to go with that are these!" All Might pointed at slots that started to slide out of the wall! Costumes designed based on you quirk registrations and requests you sent in before school started."
"Costumes…" Deku said excitedly but quietly.
"After you change, meet up in Ground Beta!"
"Yes sir!" The class yelled.
The class were sent to individual gender locker rooms with there hero suits to change. The girls started questioning Evie.
"Hey, hey, Evie!" Uraraka said. "I just wanted to ask, why do you wear the boys uniform?"
Evie stared at Uraraka and sighed. "That's really none of your business but whatever. I wear it because skirts get in the way. Plus, I hate wearing stuff like that."
"But you don't even wear your tie," a girl with pink skin pointed out. "And you jacket isn't buttoned up. It looks kinda weird on a girl."
"Ahh, whatever, it's not like I'm the only one. Kacchan does it too."
"Kacchan?" Asui tilted her head.
"I meant Bakugo. We're childhood friends. Me, Bakugo and Izuku."
"Oooooh." The girls crowded Evie as they finished their conversation.
"Hahaha!" The boy with what looked like grapes on his head said. "I can't wait to see all the girls in there costumes!"
"Give it a rest, Mineta!" Another one with yellow hair said.
"But that girl who argued with Mr. Aizawa yesterday is super hot." Drool ran down Mineta's chin. "Such a bug chest, a big ass! I have to see it all in her costume!"
"Shut up. Anyway, I can help but wonder who she is."
"Yeah." One with red spiky hair agreed. "I heard she got a perfect score on both the written exam and practical exam."
"I heard she got recommended but she took the exam anyway."
"Yeah," Deku answered there questions. "She was the number one recommendation. She's smart and powerful. She's stronger than Kacchan- I mean Bakugo. Which means a lot. She just took the exam because she didn't want me to do it alone and she said she would be bored if she didn't watch the other examinees."
"Daaang, hot, smart and strong! It's every guy's dream girl."
"She gives me creeps."
"Nahhh, no way. Oi, Midoryia, you've known her for a while, right? It seems like it."
"Huh? Oh, yeah." Deku said while slipping his hero costume on. "We're childhood friends. We've been to the same school and been in the same class every year. She's always had that spooky and intense pressure around her."
All the guys except Mineta found Evie to a bit scary and unknown. Nonetheless, they finished changing even with the thought of Evie and Deku's relationship flowing through their heads.
"Ahh, look at all of you," All Might said as the class walked out from a tunnel. "Be aware, kids. From now on, you are heroes! You all look so cool! Now, shall we begin, you zygotes?"
The clothing allowance. Before the students enrolled into UA, they were required to submit a quirk registration. Physical measurements and desired design were parts of the registration. A support company under an exclusive contract with the school was to prepare the state-of-the-art costumes for the students. It's quite an amazing system.
"Quirk registration?" All Might asked in the past.
"Yeah, I registered as 'none.' I was wondering if I could re- register is I went to city hall and stuff." Said Deku.
"You can change that. Students sometimes realize that their quirks aren't what they think they are, therefore they're allowed to update it once or twice. They don't allow extravagant up's dates though. But if you had 'none' before I think it'll be just fine. And what I mean by 'I think it'll be fine' is I'm sure-"
"I'm home!" Deku's mom called out.
"Ahh, ah, agh! Oh, man. I accidentally hung up. Well, I'll have to apologize later."
"Anyway, Izuku, I have something for you," Inko reached into her purse and pulled out a green suit. "Congrats on getting into UA!"
"Ahh! Mom, what's that supposed to be?"
"Well, I found you asleep while you were studying and I snuck a peek at your notebook. I tried to copy whatever it showed in the journal. It's not much but I wanted to make up for those terrible things I said in the past."
"Aw, mom it's perfect!"
Deku was the last one to walk out of the tunnel. He thought to himself, "even if it's not tacky or outgoing like everyone else's, I still get to wear it with my mothers love!"
Deku's costume was very green, he wore a mask that had a smile on it. It had bunny-like ears on the hood and a big smile on the mask.
Evie put an arm on his shoulder. "Aww, look at youuu." She pinched Deku's cheek. "You're wearing what your mom gave you. It's so cute."
"Ah, Evie! Don't pinch me like that!" Deku pushed her hand away. "It's embarrassed when you do that. Anyway, what are wearing? It looks so…I don't know, emo and mysterious."
Evie was wearing a basic black hoodie with her hood up and a metal mask dangling around her neck. Small knife sticking out at the end of her sleeves. She wore white shorts fishnet leggings and blue high tops with little air holes on the bottom of the soles.
"Hmm?" Evie tilted her head. "Oh, it's just some simple stuff. Like these knifes, there for cutting off the ropes quickly in case I'm in a hurry. And my shoes add a little jump power, and for my mask, it's just so I can breath normally when there's toxin or gas in the air, and it keeps my breathing quiet when I have to stealthy."
Deku's eyes sparkled. "Wow! You really thought things through, didn't you? Now I can right down more stuff in my notebook!"
"Don't get ahead of yourself. I'm probably gonna make a few changes."
"Hey! Deku!" Uraraka called out. "Is that your costume? It's so fun and down to earth. I should've written what I wanted. Mine came out a title tight-skinned. It's embarrassing."
Uraraka's hero costume was very pink. She had a transparent helmet that covered part of her face and big boot that went up to her knees.
"U- Uraraka!" Deku covered his mouth. "No, no way! It looks nice. It suits you a lot!"
"The hero course is the best." Mineta gave a thumbs up.
All Might finally noticed Deku's hero costume. He noticed the bunny-like ears. They looked like his own tufts of hair. And the smile looked like a copy of his own. All Might held in a laugh, "you're so obvious."
"Sir!" Ida, in his hero costume, raised a stiff hand. "This is a battle center from the entrance exam. Will we be participating in urban battles again?"
"No, we're moving two steps ahead." All Might held up two fingers. "Most of the time, fighting villains take place outside, but if you look at the numbers, smarter and more atrocious villains will appear indoors at a higher rate. Imprisonment, house arrest, in this society of heroes, the smarter villains will hide in the shadows. For this class, you'll be split into 2-on-2 battles, taking place indoors."
"Without basic training?" Asui asked.
"This is a real battle to help you understand basic training! However, you won't just be beating up robots."
"How will the battle work?" Students questioned.
"Can we beat them up anyway we want?"
"Will there be a punishment of expulsion like Mr. Aizawa said?"
"How will we be split up?"
"Don't you think this cape looks crazy?"
"I'll answer all your questions!" All Might interrupted while opening a small notebook, a script. "The situation will be that the villain team have hidden a nuclear weapon within the building somewhere. The heroes are to try and dispose of it. The heroes need to either catch the villains or get the nuclear weapon back in the limited time they have. The villains must protect the weapon the entire time or catch the heroes. Teams and opponents will be divided by drawing lots!"
"Why so haphazardly?!" Ida yelled.
"Ah," Deku exclaimed. "Heroes have to create makeshifts so often with teams from other agencies. Maybe that's why?"
"I see, the discernment to look ahead then…pardon my rudeness, sir!"
"It's fine," All Might shrugged it off. "Let's get started!"
Team A: Uraraka and Midoryia
Team B: Shoji and Todoroki
Team C: Mineta and Yaoyorozu
Team D: Bakugo and Ida
Team E: Ashido and Aoyama
Team F: Koda and Sato
Team G: Kaminari and Jiro
Team H: Asui and Tokoyami
Team I: Ojiro and Hagakure
Team J: Sero and Kirishima
"Oh, wow!" Uraraka cheered. "It must be fate we're together! I'm counting on you!"
"Seriously?!" Deku panicked in his head. "I have to speak normally or else-"
"Excuse me!" Ida yelled. "I think you may have forgotten about Uzukami!"
Ida pointed at Evie leaning stomping on Bakugo's head. She turned her head over to All Might as a bubble popped from her gum. She groaned then squared down to Bakugo and grabbed his hair.
"I catch you talking smack about Izuku again, you're dead."
She dropped his head and walked over to Deku's side. "I'll be my own team."
The class went quiet. She wanted to be on her own. If she was going to be her own team, it would be a 2-on-1 battle.
"Your own team?" All Might questioned. "I don't know about that."
Evie stared at All Might bluntly. She took her gum out of her mouth and dropped it. Before it hit the ground, Evie had strand of everyone's hair in her hand. The gum stuck to the ground right after she was back in her spot.
"Believe me now?" She asked dropping everyone hair.
Everyone stared at Evie, wondering what just happened. For Evie, it was like all time slowed down. Everyone shook there head, jumbling their thoughts back into place.
"Well, even then, there would be an odd number of teams." All Might mentioned.
"Then," Evie smirked. "Give me a 4-on-1 battle. I'll go last."
"4-on-1 battle?!" The class gasped. "She's crazy!"
"That's not a very smart idea." Yaoyorozu said.
"That's insane!" Kaminari and Sero yelled.
Evie glared smiling. "At least it won't be boring."
The class went silent. They all thought to themselves, "so scary," but Deku was used to it. Although, he was just as surprised that Evie want to do a 4-on-1 battle.
"Mm," All Might thought. "Alright, fine. Your battle will be last. Now, let's pick the teams."
Evie smiled. All Might believed her, but the class was still amazed. Even Bakugo was shocked at how fast she was. His jaw had dropped during the time he thought Evie was showing off. And she was, but she proved that she could be her own team.
"The first team to go are…" All Might reached into two different boxes, one labeled Villan and the other labeled Hero. "These two teams!"
Team A and team D were pulled from the boxes. Which meant that Uraraka and Midoryia would be the heroes while Ida and Bakugo would be the villains.
Deku and Bakugo glanced at each other. Deku became worried with the idea of having to fight Bakugo in his current state. Bakugo on the other hand was more than willing to fight Deku himself.
"Everyone else, head to the monitor tower!"
"Yes sir!"
Bakugo glared at Deku. Deku looked away, nervous. He the. Remembered how far he had gotten and gave back a confident glare. Bakugo flinched at the sight.
Evie smacked Bakugo as she walked past him. Bakugo growled at her as she stuck her tongue at him. She whispered into Deku's ear before leaving for the monitor tower. "If you lose, I'll beat your ass."
Deku flinched and nodded. She continued walking and waved to Deku without looking back. Deku couldn't lose this battle, no, he wouldn't lose no matter what. He was going to beat Bakugo today. To himself he said the words, "I'm going to win!"
