There were many meanings and characteristics of profile photography in street photography. From an artistic point of view, profile photography was more artistic. It could show the lines, contours, and shapes of the characters, making the picture more abstract and concise. When shooting people, it was easier to show the body shape from the side than from the front. For example, in street photography, a woman with a good figure selected from the crowd could better show her curvaceous figure. It was also more natural to show the walking, standing, and dynamic state of the character, which could reflect the real scene in life. Moreover, in a fashion-themed street shoot, if fashionable clothing and styling were the highlights, the silhouette could better show the curvaceous beauty brought by the clothes and make the characters in the picture more enchanting. For example, the silhouette of the skinny jeans was very attractive, showing the curves of women and reflecting the fashion sense. The silhouette of the big skirt fluttered, giving off a fairy feeling. From the practical level of shooting, when the photographer and the subject did not know each other and were taking a photo, shooting the profile could avoid causing the subject's disgust and nervousness, reduce unnecessary trouble, and also avoid some shooting difficulties, such as people who might not be willing to be photographed or the scene environment was complicated. In terms of composition, taking a side profile helped to make the composition more concise and beautiful. By adjusting the position, angle, and light of the character, it could create a better visual effect and beauty. It could also emphasize the theme. For example, when the theme was the clothing and style of the character, side shots could better highlight these elements and better express the theme. Read more exciting novels for free
