Du Fu (712 - 770) was a famous poet in Tang Dynasty. He was born in a poor aristocratic family, intelligent and studious since childhood, but due to financial constraints, he dropped out of school many times. After a long period of wandering and hardship, his poetic style gradually matured and formed a unique "Du Fu style". Du Fu's poems extensively involved politics, society, history, nature, life and other topics. Among them, his works that reflected the darkness of society and the sufferings of the people were the most famous. His poems were concise and profound, showing his deep concern for the sufferings of the people and his yearning for ideals, freedom and happiness. He was hailed as the "giant of poetry and history". Du Fu's poems, such as Climbing High, Looking at Spring, Quatrains, and Looking at Mountains, were included in the 300 Tang Poems. His poems had a great influence on the literature and art of later generations.
