The lowest form of fanfiction in existence is a canon tag-a-long story. That’s where an OC joins the story and contributes absolutely nothing...they're just there to spectate.

LIKEI can see how you arrived to that conclusion! We’re only on arc one though, and my main storyline hadn’t even started yet. We’re around 8-9% completion right now, if that? Every fanfiction needs to start from a common point somewhere, no? My story is, however, constructed from the question of: “it is impossible for a human to become strong.” I think yes. To answer that question though, I can’t exactly make up stuff that doesn’t exist in the original story. MC will use resources only available or feasible in the canon to achieve his strength. This does mean that my story will have quite some similarities to the original storyline, however I hardly think it’s just copy and paste, or I would’ve posted just my answer to some blog and called it a day! Sure, some events will be the same, but the context, subtext, character development, and motivations will be different! You may not be satisfied with that explanation, and that’s fine! Everyone is entitled to their opinion and not everyone will enjoy the same type of story. Some people like action and fighting, some people suspense and mystery, others character development, etc. Some might think that all are important and some might think only one of them important. I can respect that and your opinion. If your main concern is that the story will end up like a copy and paste, then you hardly need to worry after my story had ran on for a bit. This one will be start slow, end strong! Thanks for reading!
i think the problem it's not the slow développement of the history, but the "change nothing". i like this fanfic because of the chang of POV with the " human cant be strong" aspect . but you need to understand that, when you read a fanfic, you know the story and you want to see a change in this story. and it's good that you have not started the main plot ( mote chapter [img=recommend]) but it's frustrating to see all change in character, environnement, context... but the final we have the same story with minimal change because the OC average if you compare with the power needed to have a active mc. all we read actualy is a passive mc, so it's like we read the same story but with another POV.
Got it! The Namek arc might not have as much changes as some might like, but that’s because Ajax is still not strong enough to flip the boat yet. Im aiming for something like Dragon Ball abridged, where you kind of know that the story will be the same, but you also know things will be different!
