LOST MEMORY

On the seventh day, everyone was up and down, busy with the preparations because they wanted to warmly welcome Araxie since it was believed that she'd come back to life after seven days which was on that day.

The whole place was amazingly decorated in purple for it was Araxie's favorite color, her favorite dishes were prepared not forgetting playing her favorite songs as they waited for her.

Meanwhile, on returning to their bedroom Trion fell speechless with his mouth opened when he noticed that Araxie's body was missing from the bed where it had been laying for the past six days. "Where did it go.

Wait, did she wake up?"he wondered before he ran downstairs with so much excitement hoping to find her there and hug her but unfortunately she wasn't there either and no one had seen her.

"Did you check your room properly?"the king asked with a worried expression on his face.

He had seen Malinda several times but he wanted to keep it to himself not to worry them up. The last time he saw her, she threatened she'd take revenge on them.

Could she have abducted her?- King Beryl would wonder inwardly. He thought he was the only one who had seen Malinda but he had no idea that almost everyone had seen her but they too were keeping it to themselves not to scare anyone.

Of course Trion had checked thoroughly but his heart and mind still didn't want to believe that his wife was missing. "I'm sure she's playing hide and seek on me. It's been a long time since we played it. Y'all wait here. I will bring her right here before you know it."he said and went upstairs to check again.

"I think I know who's behind this."Both Tia and Marina said at once like they were reading each other's mind.

"Tell us."the king hurried to say. He thought he was the only one who was suspicious.

"I think it's Malinda's doing. I'm sorry if I've offended you by mentioning your sister's name but..."Tia quickly apologized little did she know that it's what was in Marina's mind as well.

"Why are you apologising when it's what I'm thinking too. I have a feeling that she's done this and I won't spare her once I find proof against her."

Wait! Do you both know that Malinda came back to life?-the king asked between shocked and surprised emotions.

Instead of answering his question, they found themselves asking him the same question and were like, "Do you also know about this?" but before the king could answer, Neel, Casey and Andie as well as Judith with her two daughters intervened saying that they knew about it too.

"Now I'm very sure that she's taken my daughter. I swear I will bury her alive."Marina looked furious than ever before. How dare she drag her daughter into such a mess!

On returning downstairs, Trion was welcomed by empty chairs because everyone had left to look for Araxie and the guests...they had gone back home since the guest of honor had gone missing- They believed there was no reason to stay.

Reaching outside, Trion overheard the servants gossiping about what happened but he wasn't in mood to yell at them. All he wanted was to find his wife and it all that mattered right then.

Thank God he overheard their conversation anyway, because if it wasn't for them, he would never have known about Malinda's return.

Wait! Why did Malinda show herself to everyone else except Trion?

Without wasting time, Trion ran inside the house where he picked Araxie's bead that took him straight to where Malinda had laid her.

She had put her inside the abandoned old house that seemed to be falling any time.

"Araxie dear."Trion breathed with relief on setting his eyes on his wife. "Thank God you came back. Y-you are indeed a superheroine. You fulfilled your promise. Thank you so much baby."Trion said as he walked closer to where she laid but was later surprised when she asked him not to take another step forward saying that she didn't know him.

"What! Y-you don't remember me? How's this possible. No, this can't be happening.

I'm your husband- Your one and only love, Trion, remember me?"Trion hurried to say. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Who are you? And how dare you call yourself my husband. I don't have a husband. And mind you...if you've come here to remind me of the memories about my dead husband, I will surely slap you so hard that you'd never think of confronting any other woman in future to talk such nosense."

Wait! What happened to Araxie? Trion hoped she never really lost her memory.

"You're husband died?"Trion asked with his eyes widely open and Araxie just nodded in approval.

"What is she saying."Trion didn't know what to add on. "Araxie. Who told you that your husband is no more. Who was it that lied to you. Look at me, I'm your husband. I've never died and I will never do so because your love will keep me alive and healthy."

"Stop it!

I don't want to hear another word from you.

I don't know you anyway."Araxie instead.

Oh gosh, why this new problem now as if Malinda's return wasn't enough!he sighed inwardly.

He had a chance to take Araxie home but unfortunately she wasn't willing to go anywhere with him since she forgot that he was her husband.

"I have to get you out of here before Malinda comes back."he told her and surprisingly she shook her head in refusal before she spoke, "I won't go anywhere with a total stranger. Who knows what you're planning on doing to me."she said.

Trion tried using his magic on her but what shocked him was that it had no effect on her till he used the bead and just like he had asked it, Araxie fell unconscious and then Trion lifted her back home where he found everyone crying and looking so hopeless after they failed to stop Malinda from taking the egg.

"What! She took my baby?

"What does that woman want from me. Why's she testing me like this? I admit I made a mistake by reviving her but this time.... I'm going to rectify that mistake.

I will kill her. I surely will."Trion cursed between clenched teeth.

He was about to leave when both Neel and Andie grabbed his hands and said, "We're coming with you," of which he couldn't say no. And just like that they flew away from home straight to the old house but this time they had circled a wrong objective because no one was there and the house had started falling down.

"She's not here!"Neel said after looking around.

After looking thoughtful for like five minutes, Andie's mouth fell open before he spoke in realization, "I know all Malinda's hideouts. She must've taken the egg to one of her eight hideouts."

"Eight!"Neel was amazed by the number.

"She had twelve actually, but she burnt four of them after her friend teased her that they looked old and cheap as you know she loves bragging more than anything."Andie explained.

"Let's go."Trion didn't have time to listen to anything else Andie wanted to say. All he wanted was for him to take him straight to that woman's hideouts so he could meet her face to face.
