Marine Intervention

[ Third Person Pov ]

Marine Ford

Fleet Admiral Kong had just called over Vice-Admiral Kuzan for a particularly pressing concern.

The Donquixote Family had been spotted in paradise moving tons of supplies and shipments over to the New World. Normally, this would be within the jurisdiction of Vice-Admiral Tsuru, but because of the happenings within North Blue; The war between the alliances and the Germa Kingdom, she wouldn't be able to make it in time and have them arrested. So instead, Admiral Kong decided to give Kuzan the case.

He would have sent Admiral Sengoku or Zephyr, but he knew what that would be implying to the world: The Donquixote Family was a danger to the world. So instead, he decided to take the oppurtunity to send out a Vice-Admiral instead. 

Kuzan, who had nothing else to do except pay a visit to Admiral Zephyr, immediately complied with the command and started sailing off towards Sabaody. With him, he brought his own ship, and also brought a few Liutenant-Colonels as well, just to make sure nobody escaped arrest. 

Kuzan was eager to stretch his limbs out for the first time in a while. Ever since Whitebeard's assult, Fleet-Admiral Kong made an order to keep Marineford, the reconstructing Enies lobby, and Impel Down under lockdown for a while. He had also sent Admiral Sengoku to keep watch over Mariejois, and Admiral Zephyr was to remain in Marineford.

The large bubbles and trees of Sabaody could be seen within the naked eye for the Marines that followed Vice-Admiral Kuzan. Kuzan, on the other hand, immediately covered the entire island with Observation Haki to detect the presences of the Donquixote Family. 

However, to his dissapointment, he was a bit too late. 

"Admiral Kuzan! Reports indicate that the Donquixote Pirates have left Sabaody Archipelgo, and are heading back towards North Blue!" A Marine soldier reported after getting off a call.

"Let's get them then, there is no reason to delay. We can trap them if need be," Vice-Admiral Kuzan ordered. 

It didn't take long to find the fleeting Numancia Flamingo could be seen in the distance, it was also being followed by several supply ships that seemed to be empty. However, this was going to be something that they would confirmed as soon as they caught the group. Kuzan wasted no time lowering himself near the sea. 

He couldn't afford to submerge his entire body within the sea because he would lose his powers, but it didn't mean that he couldn't touch it.

"Ice Age!"

The entire sea surrounding the Marine ship instantly turned to ice. Even the Fleeting Namancia Flamingo couldn't escape Kuzan's ice, it was quite the spectacle. 

However, the Donquixote Family didn't seem fazed by the sudden happening. Doflamingo had instantly sensed the presence of Vice-Admiral Kuzan the moment that the Vice-Admiral had summoned his ice. He knew of the three rising stars within the Marines, and he had also known of how powerful they were.

He wasn't sure of how things would turn out should they have fought, and he wasn't going to find out neither.

"Trebol, inform the submarine team to be on standby for evacuation. It's a good thing that we have already given out the supplies to Brayern. Otherwise, things would have gotten precarious real quickly," Doflamingo smiled as he gave out his orders.

The snivelling man immediately complied and went to call the Submarine teams. 

"Pica! I need you to fight off the invading Marines, take the rest of the crew along; and rig the ships with timed explosives. Put everything you got into each bomb," Doflamingo ordered the largely built man.

"Yes! Young master!" The man's high pitched voice sounded throughout the entire ship. However, noone dared laugh, lest they get pummeled to death by the sound's owner.

"Diamante, you're with me! Let's see how long we can stall him until the explosives go off," Doflamingo smiled at the Marine slowly making his way towards them.

Diamante immediately nodded before drawing his weapon. At this current point in time, it was essential to note that only the top brass within the Donquixote family had mastered two aspects of Haki. Moreover, only Donquixote Doflamingo had truly mastered all three aspects of Haki. He wasn't the best user of it, but he wasn't the worst one either. 

The two pirates immediately jumped out of the ship to confront the Vice-Admiral. Whereas the rest of the crew wasted no time performing the tasks that was assigned to them.

Pica immediately lunged at the other Marine Fleets and promtply began making a mess out of them, whereas Trebol remained on the ship to ensure that it wouldn't get wrecked throughout the entire confrontation. The Donquixote Family had already formulated two plans, they would either escape the scene with the ship, or without it. 

Ideally, they would have loved to escape the Marines by the use of the Ship, but thanks to the presence of the Vice-Admiral, they could only hope for the worse. 

Meanwhile, Doflamingo and Diamente confronted the Vice-Admiral; who was partially covered with ice.

"It's nice to finally meet one of the three supernovas of the Marines!" Doflamingo commented while grinning.

"I've been ordered to arrest you guys, you know? So please come willingly without resisting, it'd be real easier this way, and I can get back to Maineford," Kuzan commented passively.

"I'm sorry, but we're going to have to decline the offer," Doflamingo laughed, "I can't just let you catch me that easily, now can I?"

Kuzan sighed quietly before looking up, his demeanor had completely changed from the cut back expression that he initially had. Now, his eyes shone with a sense of determination, the temperature started to drop further than it initially was. 

"Oh well, at least I asked," Kuzan's voice echoed throughout the area.

Kuzan initiated the fight by sending a dozen ice javelins towards the duo. The latter immediately started to dodge and block the javelins with powers of their own. 

Doflamingo would use his strings to redirect the tradgectory of the javelins, whereas Diamente simply spread out his coat in front of him before hardening it and coating it with Armament haki. Needless to say, they had effectively managed to offset the attacks in their own way.

However, Kuzan was only getting started. He immediately lunged at the duo with Ice covering his hands. His goal was to completely freeze the two of them and drag them back to Headquarters like that. So a lot of distance needed to be closed in order to do that.

However, Doflamingo seemed to have sensed it, and immediately tied Diamente with one of his strings before taking to the sky. 

Doflamingo also had a plan to stall for time, however, he was well aware of the potential danger that the man in front of him posed. If he hadn't jumped out of the way, he would have been a live statue until they reached Impel Down.

He immediately coated his strings with haki before swiping down at the Vice-Admiral. Kuzan seemed to have sensed it with his Observation haki, but he didn't bother to dodge the attack. 

The attack instantly went through him, and the strings immediately destroyed a couple of ships that were owned by the Donxiote family. Luckily, the bombs hadn't been attached to the ships yet, so they were free game. Allowing the pirate to destroy the ships, but something else was happening in the midst of the battle.

A fairly built galleon with the Whitebeard insignia could be seen travelling by.
