Spar With Zarone

Rainn followed Zarone to go a little further from Vyra. While on the other hand, Vyra looked at the two of them with anxiety, her father actually looked very excited.

"Are you ready, young man?" Zarone asked.

"Wait," said Rainn. "What are we going to do? If you want to take me into a physical fight, I'll definitely lose straight away."

"Are you sure?" Zarone asked. "Your body seems to have been trained enough."

'Is this because my stats have increased?' thought Rain. He didn't yet know how far he had progressed after doing that physical exercise. His stats had indeed gone up by a few points but he didn't know how to see those points in tangible form. If that was the case, now was a good chance to see what his body could actually do.

"Okay," said Rainn.

Zarone was a little confused at the change in Rainn's answer. But he didn't want to dwell on that thought any longer.

"Okay, I'll start." Zarone took a stance. Rainn who didn't know any martial arts just stood up and prepared himself. Of course, to make it easier Rainn would use a Skill.

Suddenly a Quest appeared before his eyes right after Zarone started moving.

[ Urgent Quest: Land a hit on the opponent in front of you ]

[Rewards: ??? ]

[ Clear condition: It is complete when you can land even 1 hit at him ]

'Why isn't the reward shown?' Rain thought.

"You let your guard down young man!"

As soon as Rainn removed the transparent text in front of his eyes, he immediately felt a punch land on his stomach.

"Khhuaak!"

Rainn was tossed and rolled several times.

'Shit! Because of the Urgent Quest that appeared all of a sudden I couldn't concentrate.' Rainn tried to stand up. His stomach hurt like hell.

"Are you okay?" Zarone asked. But he didn't show the slightest worried on his face.

'Damn old man,' Rainn was finally able to stand back up.

"I was caught off guard. Let's continue," said Rainn in a cold voice.

Zarone smiled as if he knew Rainn would say that.

Even better, Rainn now felt determined. He only needed to land a hit on Zarone to reach the clear condition, right? But since Rainn was already getting his temper boiling, he intended to land more than one punch on him.

Rainn doesn't know any martial arts. But Zarone didn't say that he couldn't use magic.

Zarone ran to Rainn with a smile. Rainn thought, he was really looking down on him now.

Rainn activated Ultimate Instinct and concentrate so he could see Zarone's movements easily.

He dodged Zarone's punch to the side. Then threw a fist toward Zarone's face. At a glance, Rainn could see the man's surprised face.

Zarone spun in the air, then created a whirlwind around his body. The vortex immediately threw Rainn's body.

"Akhh!" Rainn fell on the hard floor. But he gritted his teeth and get to his feet quickly.

[ Skill activated: Pyrokinesis (Lv.3) ]

Flames were created in Rainn's right hand. He threw it towards Zarone.

Zarone's smile looks full of happiness. He created a veil of wind all over his body that held back the fireball.

Zarone turned to Vyra, "I told you he's no ordinary kid!"

Vyra stared at their fight with unblinking eyes. He had no idea that Rainn was this strong. Even he can keep up with his father. Well, it's still certain that his father hasn't brought out his true powers yet. But still, with the power that he gave off now, Vyra had been beaten by her father in the past.

But, why did Rainn act weak and allow himself to be a victim of bullying all this time? Vyra wonder.

Rainn was still able to withstand Zarone's quick hits as he sharpened his reflexes with Ultimate Instinct. But still, his physical strength was far behind Zarone. Rainn felt that every bone in her hands and feet was now already crushed to powder.

"HA HAHA!" Zarone laughed like a madman in front of Rainn as he continued to throw his punches. "YOU'RE PRETTY GOOD, BOY!"

'WHAT THE FUCK OLD MAN!' Rainn shouted from inside his heart. He couldn't even breathe properly. But this old man in front of him was even capable of shouting and laughing!

Rainn also began to think that landing one hit was already impossible. No wonder Systema only provides clear conditions like that.

Zarone lifted his leg and aimed it at his chest. Rainn could see that with Ultimate Instinct but his hands were too tired to obey his brain's commands.

'BUAGH!'

"Khaaahk!"

Rainn was thrown for the second time. He rolled several times and land on his back facing the ceiling. Feeling difficult to breathe properly.

"Uh oh," Zarone grimaced. "Looks like I overdid it."

"FATHER!" Vira shouted.

"I'll take care of it, Vyra. You stay there."

Zarone walked toward Rainn with a worried face. Why did he get carried away in this atmosphere when he was only fighting a teenager.

"You alright?" Zarone asked. Rain was silent. "I'm sorry. I-"

Suddenly in Rainn's hand appeared a flash of fire.

'BUAGGHH!'

Rainn landed a single punch with a fire-coated fist on Zarone's face. The man stumbled backward and fell on his back.

Rainn immediately stood up and looked at him laughing.

"HAHAHA! I GOT YOU OLD MAN!" Rainn shouted while pointing a finger at Zarone.

Vyra who stared at the events in front of her could only stand stiffly. She now didn't know who to sympathize with anymore.

Zarone sat grinning holding his chin "Yeah, you got me."

Rainn then fell back. His breath hitched. Zarone looked at Rainn

"You're pretty good," he said.

"Yeah?" Reply Rain. "You can kill me here easily if you want, and you're telling me that I'm good?"

Zarone laughed. Indeed Rainn's strength still couldn't be compared to his at all. But the resistance Rainn put up was incredible for a kid who just found out that he could use magic and grow up without the right mentor.

"Your parents know you can use magic?" Zarone asked.

"No. They died when I was little," Rainn replied.

"Oh. Sorry kid. I didn't know."

"Don't worry. I don't care about that anymore."

While the two of them talking, Vyra approached.

"Are you guys done?" asked Vyra.

"Well, we're done. Now we should have lunch." Zarone immediately stood up as if nothing had happened.

But Rainn felt that all the bones in his body had softened. He tried to stand up but then fell again.

Vyra immediately moved next to him and wrapped Rainn's hand on her shoulder. Rainn looked at Vyra with wide eyes.

"I'll help you," said Vyra with a smile. Their faces were so close that Rainn could clearly see Vyra's smile.

He immediately turned his face away.

"Sorry to bother," said Rainn curtly.

"What are you talking about? I should be the one apologizing for putting you in this situation."

Vyra helped Rainn walk with one arm around her shoulder. Rainn could feel their skin touching.

Rainn's heartbeat quickened. They exited the practice room towards the main house building. As they walked, Rainn got a notification he had forgotten about.
