Mattheo nodded. He knew the Observer was simply an addition to what he wanted so didn't care that much. What interested him now was his form, having discerned the type of demon he became, he approved.
When looking down, what awaited his gaze was a heavy coat of fur tinged in red. His joints were in a position that would make most humans wince, yet supported his figure. His claws were sharp and could retract with a motion that couldn't be know to a human.
While he knew the process would be fatal to his soul, he was surprised to see how much that was the case. He had transformed into a mere fiend class demon, just above that of a lesser fiend.
He could still feel an above average amount of magical power flowing throughout his body, but even that had receded to a mere speck of his previous power. He knew that his situation in regards to power was depressive.
Having examined everything he let out a sigh. "Looks like it's back to the basics for me..."
Having said that he looked up, the sun or moon was nowhere to be seen. All that was there were a dozen red stars varying in intensity. Normally one would be put alert by these, but such spectacles were of little matter.
He knew that for a fact, he was in the Abyss. While it didn't stand out, it was still his first time here. As a heretic, his soul would spend the nights here while he slept.
Lacking in purity, he never attracted the attention of demons. It's not that they treated him friendly, but corrupted souls weren't very tasty. It was the meat they wanted, and without a body, soul consumption was a draining task. Without that Mattheo's spectral form was promptly ignored.
Mattheo glanced around, howls could be heard in the distance alongside a few snarls. Proximity wasn't as necessary since his form of a werewolf boosted his hearing and smell, his eyesight was also sharp. Wanting to get a feel of his environment, he began to climb the trees.
The branches were tough enough to support his weight and took on a dark color. The leaves were greyed out, yet looked extremely nourished. It made one think the words "ghost tree", or trees in this case.
As he scoped his environment, he saw the treetops extend a great distance into the horizon, the places where it didn't, had mountains standing tall and with pride.
Besides the strange view of the unique nature of the Abyss. A temple of massive scale stood, hardly inconspicuous making it appear intimidating.
Mattheo jumped from the treetops with ease and headed in the temple's direction.
