Chapter 3: Tommy Merlyn

I opened my eyes to find myself in a massive, teched out apartment in Starling City.

I was surprised that I was able to gain access to the old Tommys memories and right now is just any other day.

The second I got out of bed, I tried to remember if there was a pen and book in the room and found none, so I decided to purchase some.

I should write down relevant information to remember. I should remember, if it's online, it can be hacked, so the easiest thing to do is to write down my secrets, and keep it close to me.

There is a lot of mind manipulation technology and abilities, so this should come in handy temporarily.

I won't be writing about anything directly, more of a code like manner, so at first glance it is nothing too important.

I also marked the calendar, today is May 20 2006, and exactly a year from now, Oliver will board the Queen's gambit.

Perfect, that means 10 years from now, I will be able to travel to other Multiverses.

In 10 years, I need to try to at least become a S tier power-scaler according to my system.

For now, I should start small…like, breaking out of Malcolm's empire. He himself does want Tommy to learn, so why not start right now.

I don't think it will take a lot of convincing for him as to why I have suddenly changed, as long as I don't become a psycho.

So the best thing to start with, is leaving everything I have except for the clothes I am wearing.

My idea is simple: I want to gain Malcolms respect, and show him that I have become responsible enough to earn a place in the company.

Similar to the trials Tommy was supposed to face in the original, by becoming the manager of Verdant.

Once again, I made a mental list of my strengths:

Public speaking

My system

Editing skills

Coding skills

My mindset

Knowledge on how to build an aesthetic body

Knowledge on how to manage money

Honestly the last one shouldn't be a strength, since I will have to focus more on strength than muscle in this world so I probably need to redefine my knowledge according to the standards here.

As I was planning, my system screen suddenly popped up in front of me.

The host once again explained.

What the hell is a world token? Is this something that will let me travel to other worlds?

[World token:

Unique to the Avatar system, the world token is essentially something that unlocks an entire world for the host. For example, if the host wants to gain the swordsmanship skills of Zoro from One piece, he will have to unlock the one piece world and pay a 'World Price,' from control points. A world price is the same amount as twice of the character template of the strongest person in the world. For one piece, up until where you have watched, would be Shanks]

Alright, so an A tier world token would allow me to unlock a world, where the characters have the power to at most be planetary level. That's something good, with this it should make my life slightly easier.

What is a character template?

[A character template is the entire being of a person. When bought, the host will train and slowly merge with the character. Their emotions, strengths and weaknesses become yours. Character skills can be individually bought, which is the path previous Champions have used. However there are prerequisites. For example, if you want the Sharingan, you need the Uchiha Bloodline first, and chakra as well.]

Alright this makes sense.

So for now, I should pick on a world to unlock.

Obviously, I should research more. There is no reason for me to rush, I need to look into a proper world, and research skills.

But as mentioned before, I need to also impress Malcolm, which will probably give me control points…

I picked up my phone, and decided to call my best friend, Oliver.

"Wassup Tommy!" I heard an excited Oliver from the other side of the phone.

"Hey man, could you send over one of your drivers to pick me up from my apartment."

"Haha, did you crash all your cars again? Sure thing man, hey Laurels here so I'll see you in a bit." He said, as he hung up the phone.

Apparently this interaction was usual for the two of them.

Right, time to go to the Queen Mansion.

As the driver drove me into the Queen mansion, I was shocked to say the least. No kidding they were billionaires, and their 22 year old son would in a couple of years basically cause the downfall of everything.

Entering the mansion, I was immediately hugged by a young Thea Queen. My half-sister, but barely anyone knew about this yet, not even my own father.

"Tommy!" She exclaimed in happiness, as she hugged my legs, she should be around 12 right now if I am not wrong.

"Ah you're here, come on let's go eat. I ordered some pizza." Oliver said, as he walked into the dinning room.

"Hey Tommy." Laurel greeted me as well as I walked in behind them.

"Pizza!" Thea squealed as she ran in with us.

I walked slightly ahead of Laurel and Thea, and grabbed Oliver to the side.

"Pizzas that way." Oliver said dumbly, as I dragged him with me.

He looked exactly like he was portrayed in the show, dumb and handsome.

"I know, but listen I wanted to tell you something important."

"What is it?" He asked back, slightly taken aback by the more semi-serious tone.

"I decided to cut myself off from my father." I immediately said, causing him to burst out laughing.

Even after laughing for a bit and not seeing my expression change, he stopped a little and asked back," Is this like that time when he didn't allow you to bring the Russian model into the mansion and you got mad."

"No, I just can't take his holier than thou attitude anymore. Everytime we talk he likes to belittle me and I am done with it. I want to live on my own now."

"Okay, and what are you telling me this for, you need money to eat and a place to live? Tommy, my trust fund is your trust fund, you can just take your share out of it."

" No, I was just hoping I could talk to your dad about a business idea I have."

Oliver paused again for a second, and looked at me in surprise.

Then, I saw bright numbers shining on the top of his head, in a Saphire like color.

[5000 CP gained from Oliver Queen for surprise, confusion and worry about his best friend]

"Whatever you need man, dads coming back in about 2 hours so you can talk to him then. I'll let him know." He said, as he walked towards the table in deep contemplation.

I also decided to join the trio and eat as well.

I had a rudimentary idea on what I wanted to make, and the main reason being I can control major companies now. As a person who used to code, I will be able to earn a strong footing in the world.

I can also start learning physics to make good technology.

It didn't take long for Robert himself to come back to his home and I greeted him.

"Right Tommy, Oliver said you had a business proposition in mind." Robert asked as he walked in.

"It's actually Robert. "

"Alright what is it?"

"Well, the name of my ideas are Uber and Instagram."
