Snake Eyes and Black Widow

This is a story of Snake Eyes (GI-Joe) being a operative in the fantastic world of the MCU. Of course, as this is introducing a character from an entirely different universe this story will be an AU. Without further ado, please take a dive through the eyes of Snake. Disclaimer all rights and permissions stay with the original writers and creators. This fan-fic is just to take a spin on what it would be like to have one of my favorite characters in the MCU.

Chapter 30: The Final Hurdle

The cold mountain air filled Natasha's lungs as she stepped away from the collapsed tunnel, her eyes still fixed on the destruction they had just escaped. The second hub was down, the enhanced soldiers there neutralized, but the weight of what was still left to do pressed heavily on her shoulders. They had three more hubs to take out, and time was slipping away.

Marks and the rest of the team were already regrouping, their breath visible in the chilly night air. They had made it out alive, but the look in their eyes told Natasha that they knew the hardest part of the mission was yet to come.

Natasha's comms crackled to life, and Stark's voice cut through the static. "Nat, I'm pulling the data now. It looks like the second hub is completely offline. Nice work."

"Thanks," Natasha replied, keeping her voice steady. "But we're not done yet. How are the other teams doing?"

There was a pause on Stark's end, and Natasha's stomach tightened with anticipation.

"S.H.I.E.L.D. teams have made contact with their targets," Stark continued. "But they're hitting heavy resistance. One of the hubs—located in the Middle East—has gone into full lockdown. It's fortified like crazy, and the team there is pinned down. They need backup."

Natasha's mind raced. The Middle Eastern hub was critical to the Overseer's plan. It was the central manufacturing facility, where the most advanced versions of the enhanced soldiers were being prepped. If they couldn't take it out, the Overseer's army would still have the potential to wreak havoc on a global scale.

"Send reinforcements to the pinned team," Natasha said firmly, already thinking ahead to their next move. "We're heading to the final hub. We'll handle it."

"Are you sure?" Stark asked, his voice tinged with concern. "This last facility is different from the others. I've been going through the data, and it looks like this is the Overseer's command center. If he's anywhere, it'll be there."

Natasha's jaw tightened. It didn't surprise her. The Overseer had been manipulating everything from the shadows, and now it was time to face him directly. The final hub wasn't just another facility—it was the heart of his entire operation. If they could take it out, the rest of the network would crumble.

"We're ready," Natasha said, her voice cold and determined. "It ends tonight."

---

Hours later, Natasha and her team were aboard another helicopter, racing toward their final destination. The facility they were targeting was hidden deep in a remote location—buried within a desert, surrounded by miles of unforgiving terrain. It was the perfect place for the Overseer to operate from, hidden from the eyes of the world.

As they neared the facility, the faint lights of the compound came into view, glowing faintly against the backdrop of the dark desert. The facility was vast, sprawling out in all directions, with layers of security systems visible even from a distance. It was clear this place wasn't just another hub—it was the core of everything the Overseer had built.

Natasha felt the weight of the moment as she looked out over the landscape. This was it. Everything they had been fighting for came down to this final strike. The Overseer had made his move, and now it was her turn.

"Stark, what are we looking at?" Natasha asked into her comms, her voice steady despite the rising tension.

"I'm pulling up the schematics now," Stark replied, his voice filled with the urgency of the moment. "This place is a fortress, but I've found a weakness. There's a ventilation shaft on the north side that leads directly into the command center. It's your best shot at getting in undetected."

"Got it," Natasha said. "We'll go in quiet. Once we're inside, we'll hit the core systems and take the Overseer down."

"Be careful," Stark added. "He's got to know you're coming. Don't let your guard down."

Natasha nodded, even though Stark couldn't see her. She knew the Overseer would be waiting for them. He had prepared for this moment just as much as they had. But Natasha wasn't afraid. She had faced enemies like him before, and she knew that no matter how much power they believed they had, they all had a weakness.

"Marks, take your team to the eastern side of the facility," Natasha said, formulating the plan. "Create a distraction. Draw the guards' attention away from the north side."

Marks nodded, his face set with determination. "We'll give you the opening you need."

The helicopter descended, and Natasha's heart raced as they prepared to drop into the desert below. The facility loomed ahead, a massive structure that seemed impenetrable. But Natasha knew better. Every fortress had a weak point, and they were about to exploit it.

The team fast-roped down into the darkness, landing silently on the soft desert sand. They moved quickly, staying low as they approached the facility's outer perimeter. The guards patrolled the area in regular intervals, but the darkness and the wide-open terrain provided enough cover for Natasha and her team to advance without being detected.

Natasha led the way, her senses sharp as she scanned the area for any signs of movement. The closer they got to the ventilation shaft, the more she could feel the tension in the air. This was it—the final hurdle. If they could take down this facility, the entire enhanced soldier network would fall apart.

They reached the ventilation shaft without incident, and one of Natasha's operatives quickly removed the grate, giving them access to the interior of the facility.

"We're going in," Natasha whispered into her comms. "Stay sharp."

She climbed into the shaft, followed by the rest of her team. The narrow tunnel was dark and claustrophobic, but Natasha didn't let it slow her down. She moved with purpose, every step bringing them closer to the Overseer's command center.

As they neared the end of the shaft, Natasha could hear the faint hum of machinery and the distant sound of voices. They were getting close.

"Stark, we're almost there," Natasha said quietly. "What's the status on the internal defenses?"

"I've got eyes on the security feeds," Stark replied. "The command center is heavily guarded. You're going to have to take out the guards before you can access the core systems."

Natasha nodded. She had expected as much. This wasn't going to be easy, but they had come too far to turn back now.

They reached the end of the shaft, and Natasha signaled for her team to stop. She carefully removed the grate and peered into the room below. The command center was massive, filled with terminals, monitors, and a dozen guards patrolling the area. At the far end of the room, she could see the core systems—the heart of the facility.

This was it.

Natasha dropped down silently, her team following close behind. They moved quickly, taking out the first few guards before they had a chance to react. The element of surprise was on their side, but it wouldn't last long.

"Take them down," Natasha ordered, her voice a whisper.

The room erupted into a flurry of motion as her team engaged the remaining guards. Natasha moved with deadly precision, taking down enemy after enemy as she made her way toward the core systems. The Overseer had prepared for this moment, but so had she.

As she approached the main terminal, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed from behind her. Natasha turned, her heart skipping a beat.

Standing at the far end of the room, watching her with cold, calculating eyes, was the Overseer.

"Romanoff," he said, his voice calm but filled with menace. "You really think you can stop me?"

Natasha's grip tightened on her weapon as she locked eyes with him. This was it—the final confrontation.

"I'm not here to think," Natasha said, her voice cold and unwavering. "I'm here to finish this."
