His harsh breath fell on my lips as Jordan pinned me to the bed, every inch of his body pushed into me. I could feel the uneven movement of his chest brushing against mine. His eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes were a green fire but behind all that rage I saw it flicker: the fear.
He was scared.
"I can't lose you again," he said, this time his voice was soft and I saw the creases on his forehead relax.
I was breathing hard, startled by the tone he had taken with me earlier. But I could feel my anger melting with every moment that Jordan remained on top of me.
His head fell into the crook of my neck with an exhausted sigh and his soft hair tickled my skin. I shivered. His hot breath against my neck was sending hot waves down my body.
