Primal online

Since childhood Wyatt has always followed the advice of the adults around him. Study hard! get a good job! honestly not bad advice the problem is that's all he has ever done. In the year 2200 the first immersive full-body VR system is being released and with it comes the insanely hyped MMORPG Primal Online. With everything, someone could ever want from a fantasy game, it's no surprise when it takes the world by storm. Never taking any time for hobbies or interests Wyatt's life has quickly fallen into a constant loop of mundane boredom waiting to be broken. This all changes one day when his cousin invites him to try this new game during a family get-together. It doesn't take long for a spark of interest to emerge. Disclaimer: This is my first novel as well as where I plan to simply practice writing to get more comfortable so I don't know how detailed or active it will be.

Bellamy's past

"Wyatt! Come down for dinner"

Just as Wyatt stepped out of the gaming capsule, he heard his aunt calling out for him. Luckily, he just so happened to log out of the game at the perfect time, so after quickly washing his hands he sped downstairs for dinner.

"Yo, Wy!"

As Wyatt walked into the kitchen, his uncle Eric quickly called him over to grab a plate. Apparently, his uncle made a good deal with one of his butcher friends. Today's dinner was homemade burgers with a side of grilled vegetables that they grew on their farm.

Filling up his plate, Wyatt swiftly helped his aunt prepare the table before finally sitting down to enjoy the delicious meal.

While eating, Wyatt and his uncle discussed the events of their day so far. Eric turned out to be a little interested in the world of primal online, so he kept asking about Wyatt's adventures. They spent the next couple dozen minutes talking while enjoying their food before eventually separating since uncle Eric wanted to watch some sports.

Although Wyatt wanted to immediately hop back into the game, he decided it was better for him a short break before continuing his training.

After becoming friends with the interesting siblings not long ago, Wyatt had actually been a little curious about their family since he learned they were pretty famous. He decided to search the siblings' names online hoping to find some information.

Luckily, finding a famous martial arts family with members named Melody and Bellamy was surprisingly easy. Wyatt decided to click the first video that popped up in his feed.

[U18 World International top 16: Roger Herman VS Bellamy Mineo]

From Wyatt's understanding, This match happened during Bel's most recent tournament appearance. This would be the same tournament that Bellamy eventually lost, causing his family to reprimand him.

Watching the video on his phone, Wyatt was instantly astonished. Somehow the real world version of Bellamy appeared even more massive than his in game counterpart. Although both combatants were 17 at the time, Bellamy still managed to completely tower over him, almost appearing like a father disciplining his child.

Of course, this top 16 match proved incredibly easy for Bellamy with his opponent only lasting a little over 10 minutes before surrendering the match. Even Wyatt, who had no knowledge about combat sports, had to agree with the fact that Bellamy appeared immensely talented.

After watching his new friend put on a dominant performance, Wyatt was even more curious about who eventually beat Bel. After scrolling through more videos, Wyatt eventually found the same match Melody had complained about earlier.

[U18 World International Quarter Finals: Bellamy Mineo VS Viktor Williams]

Not long after the video started, a frustrated scowl appeared on Wyatt's face.

He completely agreed with Melody's earlier anger while calling her brother's opponent a cheater. Although not as dominant as in his previous match, Bellamy still had a clear advantage compared to his opponent.

The match proceeded normally for the first couple of rounds. But suddenly, everything took a turn for the worst when Bel's opponent took the chance to kick him in the back of the leg after the ref called a time out.

This was clearly a cheap shot and completely outside of the rules of a fair match. His opponent was quickly reprimanded but sadly the damage had already been done.

In the end, Bellamy still managed to somehow win the match even while barely wobbling on only one leg. Sadly, his championship hopes quickly ended not long after, it was simply impossible for him to compete with his leg in such awful condition.

After attempting to compete in the finals, Bellamy stepped down less than 5 minutes later, while barely managing to keep his balance.

Bel's final opponent was actually a very respectable and kind young man, who even wished for the match to be postponed until Bellamy was healed. Even Wyatt was impressed with his character, but sadly there was nothing they could do about the ending results.

After another hour or so of relaxation, Wyatt was ready to hop back into the game. He still had more tasks to finish before the appointed time to meet Bellamy.

First of all, Wyatt wanted to head back over to the auction house to collect his earnings from the axe he auctioned earlier. After that, he would focus solely on improving his poison control and learning his new [Acidic Touch] skill.

Not wanting to waste any more time, Wyatt immediately jogged toward the auction house after logging back in.

Completely unbeknownst to Wyatt his sudden appearance back in the city caused a shock to a certain group of players.

--------------------------------------------------

"Lukas! We have already been waiting outside this damn tower for hours" one frustrated young man shouted out

"Tch, Shut up, he has to come out eventually. I told you ill kill him as soon as I see him" Snarking back Lukas glared at his associate before eventually turning his attention back to the massive tower.

"b..b but what if he already left?" another boy mumbled out, clearly more anxious than his teammates.

"Impossible! everyone else had to leave the tower the same way. Even Hazel wasn't an exception, why would that loser be any different!"

"Maybe he logged off already?" At this point, Lukas's group was starting to give up hope of finding their blue haired target. Although Lukas was the most talented, it didn't mean others wanted to simply waste their time due to his annoying grudge.

Even Lukas himself was starting to get tired of waiting. Deciding he couldn't waste any more time outside of his training, Lukas was about to give up when his screen suddenly flashed with a notification.

"huh???" His eyes widened in shock

According to what his friend just messaged, Wyatt had just been seen walking around back at their training center.

"...How? that doesn't make any sense"

Nothing seemed to make sense anymore, how did Twite possibly travel all the way back to the center without being seen by anyone?

The frustration due to wasting so much time quickly turned his face red in embarrassment and rage.

Turning around in anger, Lukas immediately chose to leave.
