[Adrian's POV]
The thumping of the ball against the cement floor synchronized with the wild beating of his heart. It was Sunday afternoon. As agreed, they went to a covered court near NeonMIX Nightclub to play basketball. It was only a two-versus-two game; him and Felix against Raymond and Nick, but the tension in the air was enough to generate electricity.
Adrian wiped the sweat off of his eyebrows, gasping for breath as he dribbled the ball with his right hand. Perspiration drenched his yellow basketball jersey as if he just ran in the rain. His raised right arm glistened with sweat as he defend the ball from Nick, who had a predatory stare, not just to the ball, but even to him.
The hell was his problem? It's just a game. Yet he looked like a shark about to devour him.
