Chapter 12: Side Quest in One Piece?

"Tch...after getting such a beat down they still had the audacity to increase my bounty by just one billion...never mind but why do they want me alive? perhaps are they trying to bait out Kaido as they did to Whitebeard?" Sanemi muttered as he tried to think why was it only alive on his bounty.

"huff...Haisha...I need to get some medical attention" Sanemi muttered as felt pain all over his body.

A big splash of water appeared right in front of his eyes as a giant crocodile sea-king came out of it. The sea-king glared at Sanemi and opened its jaw in an attempt to chomp on him.

'This works just as well' Sanemi thought as his left arm was coated in a dazzling golden light and he punched the sea-king making its whole body tremble as it fell on the ground.

'What was this sea-king trying to do anyways?' Sanemi thought as he grabbed the beast's dead body and lifted it a little with his arm.

'was it attracted to the smell of my blood?' Sanemi thought as he observed the sea-king.

'Not that it matters' Sanemi thought as he went into the forest behind him to gather some materials to cook.

It has been about four months since Sanemi found himself on this island which he had named Ice Tower because of the huge mountain of ice present in its center.

'I swear to Haisha I can see a boss bar at the top' Sanemi thought as started towards the peak of the mountain. He was wearing his normal clothes but they looked in very bad condition.

His body was now free of injuries with the help of Life-Return, sea-king meat, and One Piece logic. He had a makeshift bag made of leaves on his back as he held two sharp stones in his hands.

'Time to scale it' With that Sanemi started to climb the mountain. He scaled the mountain step by step as he carefully reached an ice cave about 2Km from the base where Sanemi started.

'Would you look at that I even found a side quest area, what are chances that I will find a mini- ' Sanemi's thoughts were cut short as he jumped back to avoid a huge sting.

"Would you look at that it seems I jinxed myself" Sanemi muttered as a grin made its way on his face.

A seven feet tall scorpion with a crimson exoskeleton came from the depths of the cave it had a mean-looking sting as it snarled and let out disoriented noises.

"You know considering the region I kinda expected an ice type of monster but fire makes sense as well" Sanemi muttered as got is a fighting stance.

Sanemi dodged another strike of its sting and then ducked to dodge its claws, in the same moment he clenched his fists and punched the face of the beast three times in succession.

'Full Contact Karate: First Stance: Basaltic Fist: Triple combo'

Sanemi then performed a backflip to dodge the sting once again and then in a burst of speed closed the distance.

Not wanting to be pummeled again the scorpion tried to grab Sanemi with its claws, seeing the oncoming attack Sanemi jumped and then performed a stomp on the beast's left pincher as a shockwave traveled through its body.

'Full Contact Karate: Second Stance: Pheonix Kick'

Sanemi then performed a combo of punches and kicks all over the claws crushing and destroying them in the process. In a fluid motion, Sanemi then went behind the beast as he went in a punching stance.

'Full Contact Karate: Third Stance: Tiger Dance'

"Haaa!" With a loud exhale Sanemi punched the air creating a shockwave in the shape of a dragon.

'Full Contact Karate: Fourth Stance: Blue Dragon's Storm'

With the powerful blast of air, the scorpion flew out of the cave as the blue blood that was scattered around was all that was left of its existence.

'Now then according to game and anime logic there should be a hidden passage to reach the top quicker' Sanemi thought as went deeper inside the cave.

'Gold and a note? that is the most side-quest thing I have ever seen in my life' Sanemi thought as he approached the small pile of gold which had a note on top of it.

While Sanemi was having fun living in the island and climbing the Frozen Mountain the marine higher-ups were in a panic. Sanemi the Red Oni was nowhere to be found. Not a single trace of his current existence could be found.

"Damn it! just what is that brat planning!" Sanemi muttered in an angry voice. The higherups of the world government were asking questions and they didn't have any answers.

"If they sent cipher pol on this job and they finish it before us it will be the biggest slap on our faces," Sengoku said as he slammed his desk.

"Bwahhahahah! You think too much Sengoku I bet the brat is just living his best life in the wild" Garp said as he ate some rice crackers.

Veins around Sengoku's forehead thickened as he snatched Garp's crackers.

"Oi! Those are mine" Garp yelled in a state of panic as he stood from his seat.

"None shall reach the top, for I have frozen the flames

for you who doesn't stop! I shall not be part of your loss " Sanemi muttered as he read the letter.

"Frozen the flames...perhaps is it referencing the flare-flare fruit? If that is the case then why is it trying to prevent its escape? perhaps the user of ice-ice fruit sealed the flare-flare fruit on the top of the mountain?" Sanemi muttered as all of his brain cells were trying to decipher the code.

'But why? why would someone seal a devil fruit?? and if someone did why would they make an ice tower just to keep it sealed? wouldn't just throwing into the ocean work better' Sanemi wondered as his eyes read it over and over again trying to find any kind of secrets it held.

'I guess I will find everything as the top' Sanemi thought as he prepared his tools again to continue climbing.
