chapter 9: crash

Then I heard my phone buzz and I look to see it was a twitter notification I opened it up and it was from cc, " hey Haley, I know we met a few days ago but me and the guys were wondering if me, you, Lauren, inna, Jake, jinxx, Sami, Juliet, and Andy wanted to hang out tonight. If that is alright?"

I was thinking on going but I said heck with it. I have so much on my shoulders I needed a break. Besides I can explore la. So I texted cc back and told him, " sure I will go just let me know where you guys want to meet up?" I got out of bed and I heard my phone go off. " okay do you know where the little mall is. It is outdoors and it isn't far from the shore. Probably five miles away from it."

I thought okay, so I would get the directions from google maps. But I did have one question, " hey cc is there any supposed attire I am supposed to wear?" He replied, " no. Just casual." I replied, " thank you."

So I locked my phone and put it on the charger. And I had to find an offutt. But I wanted to do a lzzy hale inspired look. So I grabbed out my black combat boot heels black leather skinny jeans my fallen wings jacket, and my black slipknot tank top. I threw that on and curled my hair. And put my black rose crown on. And I put my one necklace on and it had my grandpa's ashes in it.

But I grabbed my purse and keys and I told ghost, " hey I am gonna go out so I love you. And I will be right back." I walked out and down to my car. I got to my car and I punched in the coordinates into my phone and it said only an hour away, so I am glad I left early. But I drove there and it did take an hour but totally worth it.

I parked my car and started to walk. After a moment I saw a group of people and most of them were wearing black. But one person looked over and called my name, " Haley over here." I looked closer and saw it was cc. So I walked over and I am very shy around people. Even people I don't know. But cc said, " ladies meet Haley. Haley, meet, Lauren, inna, Juliet, and sammi." I said, " hello." And I was shy but they seemed friendly. But I really didn't want to intrude.

But I believe it was Sami that said, " hi Haley." I waved hi. And I was trapped in my own thoughts. And I didn't realize that one of them was trying to talk to me. " Haley? Haley?" I was then ripped from the and I said, " yes? Sorry." It was inna asking me, " do you play any instruments other than guitar?" I remember back in highschool, " piano. I played back in highschool." I saw a smirk appear on jinxx's face and then the one question that was asked slightly touched a nerve.

" Haley do you have family back home?" I sighed, " only my dad left." They looked at me with a considerate thought. " may we ask what happened?" I sighed, " you don't have to?" I shook my head no, " no it is fine it is just a little bit of a touchy subject. But I just have my dad left. My mom passed away when I was fifteen and this happened in October tenth 2017. And the year before that my grandfather passed, and in 2005 my mom's mom passed away and last night my grandma." They all crushed me with this big hug.

They all said, " I am so sorry. But tonight we are going to have fun." I laughed a little and I felt a tear fall. I quickly wiped away the tear and Andy looked at his phone, and said, " okay he said we can go. So to the building." I was curious and they walked a little and Lauren said, " you coming Haley?" I caught up to her and she walked next to me. " hey Haley I know me and the others just met you but if you ever need to talk to someone we will be there." I smiled and said, " thanks Lauren. I also love your name."

She smiled back and said " thank you. May I ask what your full name is?" I laughed and said, " Haley Lauren ward." She started to laugh. " that is neat. I like it." I knew this would be able to get my mind off of things. But I did have one question." Hey Lauren, where are we going?" She shrugged her shoulders and said, " I do not know. One moment, Cc." He looked back and walked over. " yes."

" where are we going?" He replied, " Danny wanted to hang out and they have about two hours before they have a show." She nodded and said, " thank you." He stayed by her and I felt like the third wheel but we walked into this like grand hall. It was beautiful. But I was behind everyone and it seemed like there were a few people. But I saw Lauren leave and I felt like an odd one out, it I heard I think either Jake or Andy say, " Haley come here I want you to meet someone."

I walked over and I saw Andy and Juliet talking and Juliet said, " Haley, meet Danny." I waved hi. And he said, " hello." Then I think Andy said, " don't worry. He is all bark no bite." I slightly laughed. But I excused myself and tried to find a bathroom. I finally found one and I walked in and set my purse down on the sink. I pulled out the small bag. And I spoke to myself, " I promised I wouldn't do it again. I have to keep it. But I don't know what to do." I then heard the door slightly open and I hid it really quick and I turned to see inna.

She asked, " you okay Haley?" I sighed and said, " yeah. I'm good." She nodded and said, " okay uh, Jake wants you to meet someone. And are you sure you're okay?" I nodded, " yeah I am okay. Just trying to catch my head." She nodded and said, " okay we'll take it easy alright." She walked out and I looked in the mirror. All I heard was, " oh you look horrible, you won't make it big, you aren't even a real person. You-" I shook the thoughts from my head and fixed my eyeliner.

I walked out and I wasn't sure where in a or jake was. But I saw Lauren and cc, talking to I do not know. But my thoughts kept running through my head on replay. And then everything came crashing down. I didn't know what happened but everything felt like I was a closed book.
