Serial killer

In the underground section of the cathedral, Agents were moving about doing their business while in the inner most section, Clint was recounting everything that happened in the other world.

Noah and Phil both were seated behind him while Fury, on the screen, was listening quietly to Clint.

After Clint finished his story, A short silence filled the room.

Fury was the first to came back from his thoughts.

"What do you think?". He said while looking at Noah. Noah smile leisurely.

"I think Clint's theory is pretty plausible".

"As we know fate likes to test people and the Lord is not any different even if 'He' embodies choice, choice is ultimately still part of fate."

"This can also explain the change in world and the intelligent rampager."

"Then doesn't that mean only Barton could take the potion." Phil interjected from the side.

Noah shrugged,"Well, it isn't too bad from what Clint told us we could speculate that the realm would change according to the person's aptitude."

"Especially Clint, He is practically made for the rampager pathway."

Fury and Phil both nodded in agreement and both moved on from the topic.

"Keeping that aside. Agent Rhodes, have you browsed the case files I have sent?".

At Fury's mention, the whole room became tense. Noah nodded, "I have."

Hearing the serious answer from the otherwise leisurely Noah, Phil sat straight and Clint also looked sharply at Noah.

"What do you think?".

Noah nodded, " it's a beyonder."

"What does the symbol say?"

"A sacrifice most likely, to the abyss."

"Any troublesome abilities?".

Noah nodded, "An expert in curses, second only to the prisoner pathway and witches."

Fury's face didn't change but behind this facade he was cursing everyone's family.

Mothefucker! Why the most troublesome things are only happening when I am the director.

Those bitches are already going crazy over the general's death, What if he targets another one?

Am I supposed to burn every high ranking person's trash and personal belongings? Fuck! Everyone will think I am crazy!Mothefucker!

Fury reined in his thoughts asking Noah hopefully,"You can catch him right."

Noah avoided fury's shiny eyes, "Well... It is little... troublesome."

Fury's face fell, Noah said with an akward smile, "From the photos you sent, the killer is most likely already a sequence 7, Serial killer."

"At this stage they are very proficient in anti divination".

"I could defeat him face to face but finding him.... let's say complicated".

Fury's face became ugly. Even with the best investigators on the case they didn't even find shit!

Coupled with name serial killer, which dumbass wouldn't able tell that finding him through ordinary means is next to impossible.

If even divination couldn't find him, are they supposed to guard every high ranking person hoping that this time they catch him?

Seeing the worsening face of Fury, Noah hurriedly said his next words, "But our situation is not so bad, We have an additional beyonder characteristics remember."

"You mean the characteristics would help us catch him?". Hope laced fury's words, his eyes shining with eagerness.

Noah smiled,"Not the characteristics but the beyonder sure would."

"The characteristics Clint has collected is called "Hunter"."

"The person consuming it will gain superhuman physique and sense with tracking skills out of this world."

Hearing about the effects, Fury couldn't contain his excitement and stood up,"Great! Then what are we waiting for? Barton quickly rest and consume the potion today."

"While he is doing that coulson investigate every serial killings in the New York specifically around the area where the murder has happened."

"Oh.. and Agent Rhodes go to stark tower even if we aren't able to catch the beyonder we should at least keep stark safe from curses".

"You can do that right?". Noah smiled leisurely,"It wouldn't be too difficult to protect two or three but more than that is beyond me."

Fury nodded,"Good, coulson take him to stark."

After saying that meeting was adjourned. Clint parted from the duo but before parting Noah reminded Clint to learn the notes he placed on Clint's bed about the Ancient Jotun language and some basic skills of beyonders.

After that they went on the way to the stark mansion.

While absentmindedly staring out of the car, the busy city of New York came in Noah's view.

Strangely, it was his first time out of the countryside but noah didn't feel the normal anxiety one would feel.

Speaking about strange, Noah remembered that his potion is already half digested.

He was astonished, The potion that would take normal person at least a year is already half digested in a month.

The past 15 days noah noticed the rapid digestion of his potion.

At first he thought it was because of his use of powers more but then he noticed that using robot's power in front of Natasha gained more digestion then the others combined.

Then he thought of another theory, it is not about the use of powers but names!

Most likely Natasha has somehow noticed his acting, labelling him as having no feelings like a robot.

To test this theory, He thought of another method to test his theory.

To act as a monster, but how would you act as monster?

It is simple, anyone that you can't understand is labeled as a monster. So, that's why he put on his devout face and kneeled the entire day in front of Phil.

Of course, He is no superhuman and he got in a more comfortable position when Phil dosed off.

But the important part is that it worked! His potion was digesting!

Following that he named this method as the acting method in his mind in sake of how he found it.

Suddenly, an uncontrollable urge filled his mind to look sideways.

He complied, finding an average american face on the car next to them.

The man looked ordinary, if not for the unnecessarily large forehead.

"Phil, investigate the man in the car next to us."

Phil looked back at noah silently and then the man next to us. He nodded.

The rest of the trip both were silent. When they reached the stark mansion noah has already gotten the man's name.

"Philip Sterns." Noah muttered under his breath remembering the name.
