Chapter 55

Arthur's Conqueror's Haki explosion became increasingly evident. Even though they deliberately avoided the father and daughter, they still felt a suffocating pressure, and their hair stood on end.

Conqueror's Haki radiated like a burst of light, creating ripples that spread out rapidly.

The creatures inside the Lantern Anglerfish's stomachs seemed heavily impacted, rolling their eyes and falling unconscious to the ground.

From outside, a massive lantern fish swam in the deep sea, about to rest on the seabed. Suddenly, ripples emanated from its body, causing the anglerfish to stiffen instantly, its huge eyes filled with fear.

"Father, what... what did he just do?" Olga asked Ashiya, her voice trembling.

Ashiya was equally puzzled. He sensed a sudden surge of power from the young man, followed by a strong gust of wind.

Afterward, he felt a rush of breath. Although he recovered quickly, his body remained tense, devoid of any relaxation.

As a scientist, he understood that his body had instinctively gone on high alert. "Daughter, father doesn't know what transpired."

In that moment, Arthur resembled an emperor, emitting an aura of unquestionable self-respect.

"Return to the sea," Arthur commanded abruptly, surprising the father and daughter with his sudden directive.

Though taken aback, the deep-sea lantern anglerfish nodded fearfully and swam towards the sea's surface.

After some time, a brilliant light pierced through the water's surface, illuminating an area of seven to eight kilometers like daylight. The lantern anglerfish, with its massive beak, breached the sea's surface and floated atop it.

Having lived within the anglerfish for over two hundred years, the father and daughter were well acquainted with its behavior. Each time it dived into the depths, the water pressure caused its internal space to shrink slightly. Upon surfacing, the internal space became more conducive.

Over the centuries, they had learned to gauge the anglerfish's actions based on the stomach space. They immediately noticed the changes in the stomach space this time.

Olga, residing in the first stomach year-round, quickly discerned that the anglerfish had emerged from the sea and promptly informed her father of this discovery.

As an adult, Ashiya's reasoning surpassed that of Olga, who despite her two hundred years of life, retained a childlike mindset. Realizing the anglerfish had surfaced, Ashiya's shock was evident in his wide-eyed expression.

"This is unbelievable!" Ashiya exclaimed in astonishment.

"Keep your mouth open and remain still," Arthur, using Observation Haki, sensed their arrival at the surface and issued another command.

At that moment, the intimidating yet compliant Lantern Anglerfish widened its mouth obediently, refraining from any movement.

"Alright, let's proceed," Arthur instructed the father and daughter before enveloping the boat in his power and propelling it directly against the current.

"Hmm~" Arthur breathed in the fresh air as the fish's mouth emerged, bringing a sense of comfort. He promptly headed to the bathroom for a shower and a change of clothes.

On the deck, the father and daughter nestled together, gazing at the stars and the moon above.

Observing the Lantern Angler, now motionless but tense, Arthur calmly instructed, "Alright, move aside."

Responding swiftly, the lantern anglerfish dived into the deep sea like a reprieve, disappearing from sight.

The father and daughter fell silent, their gaze lingering on where the Lantern Angler had vanished. After a moment of reflection, they bowed together. "Farewell, Master Lantern."

Back at sea, Arthur pondered his next destination. Would he visit the ancient town for a rest, or head to Dressrosa?

After some consideration, he decided Dressrosa would be his first stop. The fruit in the Sleeping Ancient Town wouldn't be claimed anytime soon, as per the game's storyline where it was discovered after the underwater prison's destruction by Luffy, freeing a multitude of people.

"Inside, there's a bathroom where you can wash up and dry your clothes using this," Arthur offered a hot air shell, gesturing toward it.

The father and daughter nodded appreciatively. Olga entered the bathroom first.

"Thank you for your assistance. It's truly wonderful to experience this world again," Ashiya expressed his gratitude with a smile, bowing respectfully to Arthur.

"It's nothing, really. Your talent is incredibly valuable to my kingdom," Arthur reassured, adjusting their course towards Kaido.

Ashiya nodded gratefully. "I'll never forget your kindness. I'll conduct research in your country. I hope you won't judge me for any shortcomings."

"Although Olga shared some details about you and your kingdom, I still have many questions. I'm not sure if you can assist me," Ashiya admitted.

"Of course," Arthur affirmed.

Arthur then provided a brief overview of the Angel Kingdom's information, intentionally omitting any mention of the moon. He planned to discuss that matter once they reached the sky island, wary of attracting undue attention from the World Government if the information leaked prematurely.

"Surprisingly, there's so much magic in the sky," Ashiya remarked with astonishment after their conversation. As a former scientist, he had focused little on external matters and knew only a limited amount about Sora and Angels.

On the sea, a sailless white boat sailed steadily towards Dressrosa, though Arthur harbored doubts about the success of their mission.

"After all, he's a villain," Arthur muttered to himself, reflecting on their journey ahead.
