A new player sits at the chessboard

As Galan waited in a large conference room, Warlords started arriving.

One after the other, none of them missed a beat and showed up.

Doflamingo sat on the windowsill and chuckled, releasing strings.

Galan was smiling widely with closed eyes, saying happily "Excellent! You're all here. Now we can begin our meeting." Olvia turned her head to Doflamingo and smiled gently, tapping on the air as the strings coming to her were obliterated, "Doflamingo-chan, please act with measure."

Doflamingo's lips twitched and he had a vein on his forehead throbbing, "Damn wench…" Galan didn't pay attention to it, looking at them all, "Now if you'd please give a report of your recent actions and events, that would be much appreciated. Perhaps we can end early!"

Mihawk said lightly, "I've been challenging hidden swordsmen."

Hancock looked at Galan and said after some hesitation "Just ruling Amazon Lily."

Kuma held a book and said gently "Sending criminals to Impel Down."

Moria cackled "Expanding my forces to help the Marines! Kishishishishishi~!"

Jinbe said heroically "Protecting Fish-Man island."

Doflamingo snorted and refused to answer, believing himself to be above these people. However, was that the truth? Who knew?

Galan nodded and smiled happily, "Excellent! You are an important asset to the marines and Justice. The World Government has been very satisfied with your actions thus far. With the exception of Crocodile, who had designs on the Kingdom of Alabasta, fortunately he was stopped by our Marine force with a stroke of righteous justice. I would like to take this time to reiterate your goals."

He raised a finger and smiled happily, "The World Government hopes that you can maintain peace in your territories as well as aid the Marines and Government in any way you can. His plans for Dressrosa were nearly scrapped because of this! He explained without a choice, being put on the spot, "The Bastard walked around the country and the civilians were terrified, leaving the island. However, it was dealt with by Cipher Pol… Most of the residents refused to return."

Galan smiled and nodded, he was fishing for information as to what happened on Dressrosa. He couldn't get near the place anymore since his plans, he hoped that the people were safe. Hearing what Doflamingo said, it seemed that all was not well in Dressrosa, there were still people trapped there…

Perhaps he needed to force Doflamingo to leave, an attack from an emperor should do, right? With this thought in mind, Galan continued "I see. Most unfortunate, please ask for help should you need it. This is what the Warlords were established for. Continuing from Doflamingo's experiences, the status you hold is not unshakable. Crocodile was dethroned and Doflamingo was the victim of such an event."

He shook his head and said "The White Lead disease is extremely contagious and dangerous, hopefully the citizens are alright." Doflamingo sneered at this, this Fleet Admiral was an idiot!

Naturally, Galan knew the ins and outs, "Moving on from this, we have the unfortunate discussion of introducing a new Warlord. I wonder if you all have any requests or suggestions?" he could feel 5 different sensations watching him, however he miscalculated one thing this time.

There was a 6th person watching him in the dark. And their frown was getting deeper and deeper as he spoke.

The Warlord submitted their opinions and Galan nodded, taking them all in before putting forth his own idea, "Perhaps this rookie 'Straw Hat' Luffy could replace him." Mihawk stayed silent but he was frowning inwardly, what are you doing Galan…

Galan naturally understood the processes of his personal suggestion, stating his reasons, "He has shown extreme aggression to pirates, defeating several noteworthy pirates. Currently, he was last seen destroying many pirates on Jaya."

Doflamingo raised a brow and Kuma said "I don't see why not." Hancock was on the fence since Galan terrified her, agreeing on Galan's decision. Mihawk was silent and Jinbe gave his own opinion "I don't know if he's worth enough?"

Galan smiled "He is worth 100 million. Hancock was worth less before she became a Warlord. Not including the territory she has, Straw Hat has terrorized many places, with the most recent being Alabasta."

The 5 Elders discussed amongst each other and didn't see the problem with Galan's words. These things were true, they knew the truth about the situation. They expected Galan to know as well, which was why he suggested this in the first place.

It was only normal for them that the person who defeated the Warlord to be eligible for Warlord status.

Galan also posed many more candidates, Trafalgar Law, X Drake, and a few more crews in the New World.

The 6th person furrowed their brows, not understanding where these people came from. First of all, the two Supernova as they were called, were just rookies. Although, one of them had the Op-Op fruit and was agreeable to become a Warlord just for this reason.

He had value, but the other was a defected Marine, why would he push this person out.

Galan brought to the table his reasoning, believing that X Drake had the strength, being a Rear-Admiral as well as a defectant. He was terrifying enough to scare other pirates, because he was unpredictable. He could kill them simply because they were pirates and he was once a marine.

But the person behind the scenes didn't agree. They said "Bring me the Fleet Admiral's records." and a person disappeared with a nod.

Galan wasn't playing with the Warlords, he was manipulating the 5 Elders to his knowledge. How was he supposed to know there was another person at the back? Otherwise he wouldn't do this.

However, he was extremely cautious to begin with. His record was completely clean according to the World Government's standards. A soldier who followed orders to the letter. Sometimes made some plans but usually used violence to solve his problems.

The shadow person read the file and frowned to themself. A gut feeling was telling them that there was something wrong here and a suspicion sprouted. They would pay very close attention to Galan from now on, questioning and analyzing his every move.

They ordered the 5 Elders to start monitoring the Marines, but told them to be cautious and act like everything was normal. They didn't want to scare away the snake… and if it turned out to be a rabbit… they could just find another one.

Galan was speaking and suddenly felt an extra pair of eyes on him. He stayed the same as though he hadn't realized anything and moved the meeting along, when an unexpected visitor appeared.
