Unsatisfying Victory

When Calvin was occupied fighting Wasp, he was disturbed when a group of pirates around twenty people joined in, making the situation even worse, as he was already struggling with a freak who has a superhuman speed.

"You only have your captain to blame. If he had calmly enjoyed the feast without causing a ruckus, you wouldn't be in this situation" Wasp stated before vanishing in the air again, and with his advantage of speed he started raining down Calvin with his fast kicks from every direction without giving him the chance to do anything.

Calvin stood his ground and using Tekkai he somewhat reduced the damage he was receiving. But he was still getting hurt, and since he can't move while using Tekkai, he was not only vulnerable to Wasp attacks but other people's also.

"Let's use this chance to attack him!" All the pirates went charging at him at once. Luckily for him they didn't use any fireweapons since they didn't want to risk hurting their allies.

But what they didn't expect is an immense fire blast coming down at their direction. It was caused by Ashen's attack.

*BAAAAAM!!!*

"SHIIIT!! WHAT WAS THAT?!!" Everyone started panicking as they saw the blast crashes near them and nearly taking out half of them.

"USELESS BASTARDS STOP RUNNING AWAY!!!... DAMN IT MISAGI STOP FOOLING AROUND!!" When Wasp shifted his attention from Calvin, the later quickly took the chance to finish the rest of the enemies. Combining Soru and Shigan, he tried to kill as much as he could.

*PUFF*

*PUFF*

*PUFF*

"ARGHH!!.."

"AHHHHHH!!" without batting an eye, Calvin kept putting holes in their heads using Shigan until all its left is the wounded people screaming on the ground. It only took him a few seconds but when he finished, Calvin was completely covered in blood from head to toe.

When Wasp noticed what happened, he was taken aback a bit"…!!!...What a mess…Looks like the captain wasn't the only demon in your crew. You guys are sure scary" Wasp was getting cautious after what he saw, he figured out that it might become a disaster if he let his guard down again in front of this guy.

The two of them kept exchanging gazes, until a rush of air broke the silence as Wasp charged toward Calvin at a great pace. Using the same strategy as before, he overwhelmed him with fast combo attacks without leaving him the chance to counter back.

During that time there was some noise heard outside the hall as Diana and Ken where occupied fighting.

"*GUNSHOT-GUNSHOT*…Crap!...I can't keep this up, I'm almost out of ammo!" Diana Stated, as she reached into her pouch to check the number of bullets left.

"*CLANG!!*…*CLANG*…We need to keep distracting them until Calvin finishes his opponent off!" Ken barely holding up against them and that was thanks to Diana's support.

"OVER HERE QUICKLY!"

"WE ARE ALREADY LATE!"

"What's that noise?" Diana turned her head to see. To her shock it was the enemy reinforcement arriving.

"IT'S REINFORCEMENT!!" One soldier shouted.

"HAHA THIS IS GOING TO BE AN EASY VICTORY!!" There was moral boost on the enemy side since help arrived.

"SPEARMEN SHIELD WALL!!... ARCHERS TO THE SHOOTING LINE!!" The troops who joined in quickly organized themselves in formations and joined the battle.

"We're done for…" Diana was nervously holding her rifle, as she was starting to regret her decision to come here.

"PLACE THE MISSILE!"

"CAPTAIN!!!" as Ken shouted at his captain, he finally noticed the situation down there.

"I know, I'm also getting sick of these shitty ants!" Ashen quickly turned to their direction and using his powers he unleashed a fast consecutive compressed bullets of fire toward them "HIGAN!!"

*BAAAM-BAAAM- BAAAM-BAAAM* he was shooting as fast as a machinegun, and with the destructive power of a bomb. Misagi immediately moved to stop him, he thrusted his weapon into his back, but Ashen materialized the area where Misagi was aiming, and the weapon went right through him. Then he proceeded to grab it with his bare hand.

"Got you!"

"WHAT!!" Misagi was startled, as he didn't predict such a move. Ashen proceeded to use his raw power and sent Misagi crashing into a wall.

*CRASH!!* Ashen took advantage of that opportunity and using his fire fist, he quickly finished off the ground troops and reinforcement.

"As expected of the captain! I made the right decision to follow you!" Ken was praising Ashen in pride.

"What a monster…but it's just a matter of time before more reinforcement will come" Diana wasn't surprised that much, since she already saw what Ashen was capable of back in Logue town conflict.

"*CRASH!!*…HAHAHA!!...That took me by surprise…I didn't expect you to pull off something like that, you are truly unpredictable" Misagi was amused, but didn't seem bothered by the fact that most of his crew members and the soldiers were either dead, or lying half dead on the ground, screaming from their injuries.

"It's either you or me" Ashen declared while pointing his finger at him. He had a determined look in his face, he wasn't going to back down until he defeats him.

"*Smile*…It sounds fine to me…"

"…"

On the other side of the battlefield, the fight between Calvin and Wasp was getting more intense as Calvin was getting pushed to the limit. His body was all covered in bruises and cuts, and his clothes were stained with blood. But the more he got pushed back to the corner, the more he felt like he was getting better at reading Wasp attacks.

(Calvin's POV),

'If it wasn't for Tekkai I would've been dead a long ago' I was taking Wasp attacks for more than half an hour without a rest, waiting for the right moment to strike him. During the fight, I started getting more and more familiar with his movements, though there wasn't anything I could do about it, since I was always late to react, and switching from defense to offense would leave me vulnerable to fatal attacks.

"What tough guy…JUST DIE ALREADY!!" Wasp was starting to lose his cool seeing how I was still holding out after taking all that beating.

"Hmph…Looks like you only know how to run fast" I said mockingly "You're just a weakling without that devil fruit you have" I was acting tough, but in reality, I might collapse any second due to exhaustion and blood loss from my injuries.

"Tch, look who's talking" Wasp was pissed off, I could see it from his facial expression "I WILL MAKE YOU REGRET SAYING THAT!".

just as he was about to throw his kick, I felt something strange, as if like I could feel his hostility toward me. It was faint and barely noticeable.

'Am I just imagining things?' Calvin crossed his arms in front of him to block the incoming attack.

"*KICK*…*KICK*…damn it! you're so persistent" Wasp was getting more impatient by the second "FINE!...I didn't want to use this but…" When Wasp attacked me this time, The skin area where I was hit was burned off.

"AAAARRRGHH!!!" I screamed in agony as I looked at my lower abdomen "F-FUCK! THIS IS DANGEROUS!"

Wasp didn't stop there and kept punching me from every direction, until he finally sent me flying a few meters back with his last punch.

"Huff…huff…how would you like that bastard?" I was lying on the ground feeling an unbearable pain, but somehow, I didn't feel defeated. On the opposite, at this moment I felt more determined that I have ever been before.

I slowly got up on my feet, I was feeling dizzy from the excessive blood loss and intense pain from the burns.

Because Wasp increased his speed to an even greater degree, his punches started generating heat.

"*Smile*…DO YOU THINK THAT IS ENOUGH TO STOP ME?!" I unconsciously released a burst of energy that rendered almost everybody unconscious on the ground including allies.

(Third Person POV),

When Ashen felt that energy burst, he immediately knew it belonged to Calvin "He did it again!!!..." he was stupefied, and seeing Calvin, he knew it was because he was pushed to such a state that he unconsciously released it.

Wasp was looking tense after seeing that display.

"I don't know what you just did…but don't think you can beat me using cheap tricks!" Wasp dashed at him again, this time he was set on finishing him off. Throwing a straight right punch at his chest, he was certain it was going to be the last one. But to his shock, his fist only met with the air.

"RANKYAKU!!!"

*BAAAAM* Without a notice, he found himself flying to the opposite side of the room.

"I miss-COUGH-COUGH…I missed?!" Rather than that, it was Calvin who predicted the exact time when he was going to strike and avoided it using Soru.

"How did you-" before Wasp could finish his sentence, Calvin was already in front of him, aiming his finger at his head.

"TOBU SHIGAN!!..."

*PUFF* Wasp easily dodged the sharp compressed shock wave caused by Shigan, and countered with a right kick, aimed at Calvin's head.

To his disappointment once again, the attack only met the air and before he could react, he was hit in his left shoulder and got pushed back.

"AARRGHH!!…What the hell?!"

Calvin was unconsciously using Kenbunshoku Haki to sense Wasp's intent to act in the immediate future, allowing him to predict what he is going to do.

There are multiple variations of Kenbunshoku Haki, but the one he just used, was intent sensing. Now that he has the upper hand, Calvin quickly turned the tide of the fight, and because Wasp used his devil fruit intensely for a long period of time, exhaustion begin to strike him too.

The fruit enables all parts of his body to become faster and strong, including metabolism. As such, Wasp's body can become starved of energy to the point of near death if he overuses it.

"Huff…huff…H-How?" Wasp said, wiping the blood from his face, he was barely standing on his feet, his legs were trembling and about to give out from the excessive use of his devil fruit. He knew he reached his limit.

"Just rest in peace!...RANKYAKU!!"

"FUCK YOU!!...MISAGIIII!" he screamed his lungs out, hoping his captain would come for his rescue but it was too late. He watched his body in third person perspective while his head was flying in the air.

Once the fight finished Calvin immediately collapsed on the ground unconscious. Diana quickly went to take care of him, as she was watching the fight from a close distance.

The fight between Ashen and Misagi came to a halt, when they saw the horrific scene displayed by Calvin.

"These fucking good for nothing weaklings" Misagi's bulging forehead veins became more visible while seeing his right-hand man getting beheaded. On the other hand, Ashen was feeling relief since Calvin won.

"Back to business!" Both the captains clashed again, when Ashen proceeded to hurl several long lances of fire towards Misagi.

8 hours later,

After hours of battling, the two pirate captains were still fighting on equal ground, though the place around theme couldn't hold on for a long time.

The whole place was brought to ruin and the damage even reached the areas outside.

During that time a lot of things happened, the most important one is the civil uprising. After hearing about the clash between Ashen pirates and the king, the poor oppressed civilians of the country and the non-nobles decided to start an uprising.

They were aiming to take back the country from the usurper and giving it back to its rightful owner, the daughter of the previous king. She was the young lady sitting beside him during the feast, Alfred was keeping her around to use her as a tool for political marriage. But in the end things didn't go his way.

This event kept the soldiers away from Ashen's battle and gave Diana and Ken the opportunity to evacuate Calvin to safety, since he was badly injured after the fight.

(First Person POV),

"FIRE FIST!!"

"RAIKEN!!"

*EXPLOSION*

"This is useless…" Misagi scanned the area around him. All he saw is destruction, the king went missing, his crew was slaughtered, and the soldiers were being chased out by the rebels.

"What are you going to do?" I asked him.

He looked at me for a second, then he sighed in defeat after he put his weapon away. Fighting any longer was meaningless and a waste of time.

'None of us can use armament Haki, none of our elements are superior to the other, so there was no way we could effectively damage each other'

"It's your win" he turned back and said, "Let's hope we never meet again…'Demon of The Sea' Ashen"
