Ch.54 Life at the Holy City

Also, this world can be considered an AU. I tried to add it to the tag but I couldn't find it so I have just mentioned it in the synopsis.

As Ryuu opened his eyes the thing that greeted me first was the ceiling of the room he was staying at.

"Sigh, I am still not strong enough," Ryuu said and stood up from his bed. Looking around he saw a letter next to his bed so he picked it up.

"If you have woken up come meet me in my office-Hinata" was the thing the letter read.

After reading the letter he put it down and went in the washroom to clean himself. After bathing he changed into a fresh set of clothes and made quick food for himself.

After finishing the food he cleaned the dishes and left the room. As he was walking down the hall the nearby Knights were giving him looks of reverence. Although finding it strange he just ignored it as he had already gotten used to this.

Reaching in front of Hinata's office he stood there and cleared his throat.

"It's me Ryuu, may I enter." After Knocking on the door Ryuu asked.

"You may enter." Hinata's voice was heard from inside.

As Ryuu entered the room he saw Hinata sitting on her chair while sipping some coffee.

"Come have a sit and want some Coffee." Hinata said as she put her cup down.

"Sure," Ryuu said and sat on the sofa in the room. As he sat down Hinata quickly brewed some coffee for him.

Sitting opposite to Ryuu Hinata gave him a cup of coffee. Taking a sip of coffee Ryuu said.

"Quite Good."

"Thanks" 

After that, there was a calm silence in the room. They continued to drink their coffee while looking at each other. Ryuu finished his coffee and put the cup down on the table.

"So Hinata why did you call me here," he spoke.

Hearing his question Hinata looked at him for a while and finally spoke.

"I will be clear here why don't you join the Holy Knights." 

Hearing her reply Ryuu was a little surprised but said.

"Thank you for the opportunity but I would like to decline." 

"Why, I don't think as an other worlder you have a single place you stay at," Hinata asked in a surprised voice.

"I know but I would like to travel the world," Ryuu replied after all he would leave this world in the near future so adventure would be the best job for him.

"I see...... then why don't you work as a temporary Trainer for the Knights."

"But...."

"It will also be good for your training don't you think," Hinata added.

"I guess so then I can work here for a month or two," Ryuu said. This was a good opportunity for him as after all it's not every day A+ rank and above enemies can be found.

"Good then all the Captains should be returning from their quests in about a few days," Hinata said with a content smile and stood up.

She was quite happy as it was an opportunity for her and the knights to get stronger. She had felt herself getting stagnant in terms of strength and this was the perfect moment to change that.

Plus she will also get to know more about Ryuu's personality so that he won't do anything bad to Shizu in the future.,

"I see then I will be touring around the city so goodbye for now," Ryuu said and left the room.

After all, he couldn't miss such an opportunity to tour a new city and one as beautiful as Lubrious.

After about a week all the Captains had returned to the city, in that week's time Ryuu had familiarized himself with the city and its culture.

When all the captains returned Hinata called them and Ryuu for a meeting. Though the knights except for Litith, Lennert was surprised to see an outsider here.

But seeing that Hinata had called him the Holy Knights captains didn't say anything but the Rook Elite had a lot of things to say. Especially Sare who was fuming with rage.

But a glare from Hinata shut them up and then Hinata told them about Ryuu being their instructor for a while.

This time except for two all of them showed their denial. After all, they are a proud bunch being known for being the strongest human and equal to the demon lord.

Hinata stayed silent for a while and let them finish their words. But even after a while silence didn't return to the room as Sare continued to shout.

Finally, Hinata couldn't take it anymore and released her magicule pressuring everybody in the room.

Feeling that fear crept upon Sare's spine and he stopped with his rambling. He was still glaring at Ryuu with hate-filled eyes.

Finally, Litith and Lennert voice their approval of Hinata's decision and told them of the loss they suffered from Ryuu's hand.

They also told them of Ryuu's identity as "The Sword Prince" and the holy knight's captains accepted this decision.

The Rook Elite captains were not happy but since the majority had voted in favor of the decision they stayed silent.

After this Hinata proposes a match between all of them against Ryuu which Ryuu quickly accepts as it would be good training for him.

Though the Captains thought it would be an unfair fight but still accepted it as they wanted to check Ryuu's capability.

The battle started but it didn't end as the captains thought it would as it was one-sided but not in their favor.

They lost without even being able to land a clean hit on Ryuu after all Ryuu had gone as serious as he was when fighting Hinata.

All the pride the captains had in themself shattered their and most of them sat on the ground while looking at the sky.

Sare left the training ground with a very angry face and the other Rook Elite captain also followed him.

As for Hinata, she was standing on the side while smirking at the captains. She looked at Ryuu and touched her neck. Fighting spirit flared up in her eyes and Ryuu also noticed that and fired up his own fighting spirit.

Without even saying anything they both charged at each other and started their fight ignoring the dumbfounded captains.

And just like that with the flow of the winds the sun slept and the moon rose. In a blink of a moment a month had already passed by.
