"Asuma are you listening?" Sarutobi Hiruzen looked at his son in confusion, why would he suddenly be in a daze when he talks to him?.

"oh, yeah i just need to get my team right?" Asuma suddenly came back to his senses, he looked at Hiruzen in wonder, while a hidden glint passed through his eyes.

"yes, and the team members are Shikamaru Nara from the Nara clan, he is a very smart boy, next is choji Akimichi from the akimichi clan and he is very strong and finally Ino Yamanaka, a loud mouthed girl, but also reliable" Hiruzen looked at the files in front of him with a smile, he knew that this batch of genins will be one of the best from the record.

"okay, well i will be going to get them" Asuma nodded before turning and walking out of the door, Hiruzen looked at his sons back in confusion, he felt like his son was a stranger just now, but that could be just his imagination running wild.

[ academy ]

"when is that damn teacher gonna arrive!" Ino Yamanaka shouted with rage as she looked at the door, it has been hours but there sensei's still have not come, even the team of that Naruto bastard was already taken.

"can you stop shouting, jeez..." Shikamaru Nara poked his head up from his arms, he was just lazing when he was woken up by the shouting, Suddenly Shikamaru shivered as he looked at the smiling face of Ino, he quickly went back to sleep like he was sleeping from the beggining.

[ 4 hours before ]

"damn!, what the hell is this, this must be a joke" Asuma looked at his reflection in the river, trees was surrounding him from all around and a small river was running through the forest.

"how can i become Asuma!, that damn ROB said i will become a random character but at this rate i will just become a plot device to advance Shikamarus character!" Asuma said with gritted teeth, he was scared rightfully as he knew that the potential of this body was already squeezed out, yeah he is an elite jonin, but that's not gonna save him.

He is gonna fight against threats like the akatsuki and the immortal duo, and dyeing to one of them, he can not except that he will die like the original, he could leave the village and run and hide somewhere but then he would still be killed by Kaguya.

"looks like i got no cho-" Suddenly Asuma jumped back a few meters, a blue screen appeared in front of him, Asuma quickly tried to disrupt his chackra to stop any illusions from getting him, but in response all he felt was just his own chakra.

"what is this?, my golden finger!" Asuma looked at the system screen and he suddenly felt his soul ascend to a higher realm, he looked around quickly for any chance of being caught and he walked to a tree, he sat down and leaned against the tree.

"system, show me my status!"

Asuma looked at his strength and was disappointed at his strength, he is strong for the time being but even now he is under the threat of someone like Orochimaru, and who knows what he would do to him if he captures him, maybe he will kill him and use him as a puppet to fight Hiruzen.

Asuma shivered at the thought of being used like a puppet by somebody like Orochimaru, he quickly tried to calm down by splashing some water on his face, he then looked at the last note on the screen.

" a day to level up?, does this mean i could level up tomorrow?, well i don't know the function so the only choice i have is to wait for tomorrow" Asuma looked at the note in confusion, but he just shrugged as he did not know what it means, he got up and he walked back towards the village, but along the way he was met with a bear.

Bang!

"GRRRRR!..." Asuma was startled as a huge 5 meter tall Bear suddenly jumped in front of him, the bear had drool running down it's face as it looked at Asuma, Asuma trembled in fear as he looked at the Bear, but he did not feel any fear in his body, only his mind.

Swoosh!

the bear sprinted at Asuma at a fast pace, his eyes filled with bloos lust as he was very hungry, the bear was very fast, but to Asuma it looked like a snail, Asuma walked towards the almost frozen Bear and he punched the bear in the face with a little force.

Boom!

the time returned to normal and Asuma watched as the face of the bear was caved in, it's body was dragged into the air, it's body spinning as it crashed into the tree tops, the bear continued before stopping as it fell on the ground like a rag doll.

Bang!

the bear fell on the ground dead and creating a small dust cloud, it's body was bent in strange ways in multiple places, and Asuma cringed as he looked, but since he doesn't mind killing animals he felt only disgust and no regret.

"looks like even if i am just a low elite jonin my prowess is still not to be underestimated, but it's not enough..." Asuma clenched his fist as he felt the power in his hand, he only used barely any force in that punch, but he was able to send a bear weighing many tons flying through trees and dyeing in one hit, now that's terrifying for the normal human.

"well i am supposed to be meeting with team 10, so i suppose i should be going there now" Asuma looked at the sun in the sky and he looked down in embarrassment, it looks like he was here worrying for almost 4 hours.

Swoosh!

Asuma jumped onto the trees and with nimble movements his figure turned into an after image that headed for the academy.
