Don’t Need Leeches

Yun Qingyan shifted her feet to one side as she lightly and easily dodged Lin Wanyue's hands like a butterfly.

Lin Wanyue's hands were stretched out in midair. They were neither high nor low and looked rather awkward.

She smiled gently and just put her hands down like it was nothing. She glared at Yun Qingyan as if she was annoyed that her junior had just trolled her earlier.

Yun Qingyan smiled brightly at Lin Wanyue as her red lips curled into an evil smile. "No thanks."

Lin Wanyue didn't expect Yun Qingyan to refuse her outright. She was suddenly a little embarrassed now.

"Yun Qingyan, what right do you have to refuse this offer?" Li Hu had blamed Yun Qingyan for what happened to him and he was also grateful to Lin Wanyue for taking care of him earlier. When he saw how Yun Qingyan didn't care for Lin Wanyue's kindness, he immediately flew into a rage. "Even though I'm injured, I still tried my best to contribute to attacking the Magical Beasts together with everyone else! You've been enjoying the fruit of our labor at the back all day and didn't contribute at all, so what right do you even have to stay in this team? Our team doesn't need leeches!"

"That's right! We don't need leeches!" Once Li Hu started it, everyone else started feeling indignant and protested together.

Fatty Yu looked worriedly at Yun Qingyan to find that her face that was as ugly as a demon's didn't change at all. It still looked relaxed and had a strange little smile on it. It was as if nobody was able to catch that pair of clear and deep looking eyes.

"Is that so? What fruit of your labor have I been enjoying? Have you given me even half of the points you've gotten from all those Magical Beast Gem Cores you've obtained?"

Yun Qingyan tilted her head and asked them innocently with a teasing smile in her eyes.

All those who were protesting earlier immediately resembled a bunch of ducks whose necks were being squeezed and couldn't get a single word out.

They were the ones who teamed up to attack those Magical Beasts, so of course, the spoils were split among those who formed the team. Yun Qingyan didn't participate in a single attack since she entered the forest, so it was only natural that she didn't get anything. Her points so far were only those 30 points she got when she arrived and they were still the same.

"You didn't participate in the group attack, so of course you shouldn't get any gem cores," Li Hu said in a low voice.

"I didn't participate in the group attacks and I didn't ask for gem cores, right?" Yun Qingyan asked as she shrugged. They didn't give her anything and still accused her of being a leech who enjoyed the spoils of the team. That didn't add up.

"You don't have any points and this will bring down our team's ranking in the competition," Li Hu retorted again. He wasn't going to let Yun Qingyan off the hook so easily.

Yun Qingyan waved the points bangle on her arm and put on an irritatingly dazzling smile. "My bangle carries 30 points, and it's higher than any of yours, right? So who's bringing who down now?"

A First Stage Magical Beast was worth 3 points and a Second Stage Magical Beast was worth 5 points. The team had run into several First and Second Stage Magical Beasts, but once the points were averaged out, they didn't add up to much.

Nobody expected Yun Qingyan to be this difficult to deal with now. Lin Wanyue secretly gritted her teeth.

It was silent. So awkwardly silent.

After Yun Qingyan said this out loud, they turned out to be the ones who were dragging the useless Yun Qingyan down instead.

Dragging a useless bum down was something that these arrogant young people would never admit to doing.

All of them just glared at Yun Qingyan as if this could increase the confidence in their hearts.

Just when everyone thought that that was the end of things, the lazy looking Yun Qingyan suddenly stretched her arms out and yawned. She walked up slowly from the back of the team and still had that faint smile on her face. That smile was so glaring to everyone else.

She was just a useless bum, but she pretended to be so confident. She was really so irritating and annoying.

Yun Qingyan just broke into a smile. "Since all of you are dying to watch me prove myself, then won't I be disappointing all of you if I don't pull a stunt or two?"

Then she tilted her head to look at Fatty Yu who was always only an inch behind her. "Hey meatball, do you want to unleash an attack with me?"
