Let Yun Qingyan Go

Yun Qingyan originally wanted to take out some dry crackers from her storage ring to eat earlier, but she was full after eating a whole box of snacks.

Yude Eatery's snacks were small, but the medicine inside them was enough to replenish her energy.

After everyone had taken a rest, they continued on their journey.

The noon sun was getting hotter and hotter. The Forest of No Return was stuffy and humid and the heavy air made it difficult to breathe.

Along the way, everyone did reap quite a bit of rewards. They surrounded several Magical Beasts and attacked together, so their points kept going up. Noone could hide the smiles on their faces.

Yun Qingyan just happily stayed at the back of the team and didn't do anything at all.

Instead, Fatty Yu got anxious on her behalf. His short little legs ran over to Yun Qingyan and he wiped away the beads of sweat on his forehead. "Boss Yun, you haven't hunted a single Magical Beast all morning, do you want me to donate some points to you?"

Ever since he gave her those snacks in the morning, Fatty Yu couldn't stop running towards Yun Qingyan and was so happy to call her 'Boss Yun'.

Since he was being close to Yun Qingyan, he became an outcast by the rest of the team. Even though he had managed to kill off a few lowly skilled First Stage Magical Beasts all by himself, he didn't have a lot of spoils from these attacks. When it came to sharing the spoils after group attacks, everyone else gave him the cold shoulder and he didn't get anything despite contributing.

However, he didn't seem to mind at all and continued to cheerfully stick by Yun Qingyan's side.

"Look at Fatty Yu, he's still stupidly hanging around Yun Qingyan. Does he really think Yun Qingyan is that amazing? She just happened to know stuff about one type of Magical Vine. She hasn't caught a single thing all morning all the same."

"Exactly. Fatty Yu is really stupid or something. There's no future in following that useless bum around."

Everyone continued to speak ill of Yun Qingyan and Fatty Yu who were trailing behind them.

"Creak…"

A strange noise came from the wind.

Everyone immediately stopped talking. After all that they went through in the morning, everyone had gathered quite a bit of experience and they quickly got into formation.

Some noises were coming from the dense part of the forest some distance away. It sounded like the sound an animal made when it brushed against grass and trees.

"Zhang Xun, go up and have a look." Zhang Xun was the fastest runner in the group and he was always in charge of checking out the place.

Lin Wanyue and Baili Qingxue were the team leaders and overseers, so their mission was to protect the junior students. They would only make a move when necessary and wouldn't take on all the work themselves. When it came to things like these, the team of junior students would have to do it themselves.

Li Hu's wound had stopped bleeding and was forming a scab. He looked venomously at Yun Qingyan and said, "Yun Qingyan hasn't contributed at all this morning, don't you think we should send her out to check it out?"

Zhang Xun had taken one step out and stopped when he heard this. He walked back with a bright smile on his face. "Li Hu is right. We've gathered quite a bit along the way but only Yun Qingyan doesn't have anything. Why don't we give this chance to her? If she ends up going back with nothing, she'll be so embarrassed!"

Baili Qingxue frowned. Yun Qingyan didn't have any Elemental Power, so if she ran into a Magical Beast, she wouldn't be able to fight it off. How could he allow her to run ahead to check out the noise in front?

Before he said anything, Lin Wanyue had walked out and took elegant steps towards Yun Qingyan. "Qingyan, why don't you check out the situation in front? This competition is meant to train up your survival skills. If you keep staying at the back of the team, how are you going to train in this aspect?"

Her hands reached out to pat Yun Qingyan's shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll be looking out for you and I won't let anything happen to you."
