Upon hearing what Yun Qingyan said, Fatty Yu's tiny eyes immediately lit up. He looked as excited as a concubine who had finally been summoned to the bedroom by the emperor.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!"
For some reason, he had an unwavering sense of confidence in Yun Qingyan.
When Li Hu and the rest looked at how Fatty Yu was behaving like a bootlicker, they couldn't help but turn their eyes away. They didn't want to say they knew this bootlicker.
Yun Qingyan's calm glance landed on Li Hu and the rest of the group as she smiled brightly and said, "None of you are to interfere, I don't want any of you to take away the spoils of what we get."
Phooey! Everyone spat at Yun Qingyan in their hearts when they saw how smug she looked.
Did Yun Qingyan think she was very great?
Who wanted to take any of her spoils anyway? If she ran into Magical Beasts and was unable to defeat them, she'd come crawling back and beg them desperately to save her.
Since Yun Qingyan preferred to die, none of them was going to stop her from doing so.
"Yun Qingyan…" Baili Qingxue couldn't help but worry. He took a step forward and wanted to stop her.
"Qingxue." Lin Wanyue was next to him when she noticed his movement and she quickly reached out to hold him back. "Since Qingyan is so confident, why don't we let her give it a shot? Look at how well she knew that Bloodsucking Magical Vine."
Lin Wanyue smiled gently as she tried to persuade Baili Qingxue, but her heart was leaping for joy.
Yun Qingyan was the one who was courting death herself now, so if anything happened, Lin Wanyue didn't have to be responsible for it.
Yun Qingyan dragged Fatty Yu to one side and started whispering several things into his ear.
They were too far off and Yun Qingyan was speaking too softly, so nobody could hear what Yun Qingyan was saying. They could only see that the expression on Fatty Yu's face kept changing, and it was fun to watch.
After patting Fatty Yu's shoulders, Yun Qingyan smiled brightly and said, "Don't worry, just go."
Everyone watched as Yun Qingyan and Fatty Yu walked off in two different directions. They couldn't understand what Yun Qingyan was trying to do, but nobody wanted to embarrass themselves by asking her either.
They watched as the two of them disappeared into the dense forest in the blink of an eye.
"Will Yun Qingyan and Fatty Yu be okay?" a rather adorable looking young man with some baby fat asked worriedly.
"What could happen to them? Didn't you see how smug she looked when she discovered that Bloodsucking Magical Vine? Before walking off, she even told us specifically not to interfere with what she's doing." Li Hu scoffed sarcastically. "I say, Duan Qiong, what are you worried about? She might not even care for your concern for all you know."
The young man called Duan Qiong didn't know how to respond and he just glared back at Li Hu. He wasn't naturally good at arguing with others, so after Li Hu spoke sarcastically to him, he didn't know what to say at all. He grumbled in a soft voice, "I'm just worried…" After all, if something happened to any of their teammates and the academy wanted to pursue the matter, the whole team would be interrogated about what happened.
Baili Qingxue's thin lips were pursed into a thin line. He could still sense Yun Qingyan's presence earlier, but now he couldn't sense her at all.
On the other side, a small and frail girl was walking through the dense forest as if there was nobody else in it. She held a wooden stick in her hand and would use it to poke at some slopes for a bit, then sniff the air.
If Baili Qingxue and the rest were around, they would have realized that this person was Yun Qingyan.
After a few moments, it seemed that she had found something. A look of joy appeared on Yun Qingyan's face as she used the wooden stick in her hand to poke around and suddenly discovered a small hole among the tall grass.
She took out Modan Pollen from her ring without hesitation and gently poured it around the hole. She then found a large rock to cover the hole and disappeared nimbly into the distance.
All of this was keenly observed by the person in the tree.
