[The fifth match of the first round of the 1vs1 tournament!
Jōichirō Saiba who placed first in both obstacle race and cavalry battle.
vs
Minoru Mineta, the only student from the Class 1B Hero Course.]
As their names were called, Saiba and Mineta went on to the stage.
Looking at both of them, Midnight asked "Are you guys ready?"
Saiba and Mineta nodded at Midnight in affirmation.
"Then, Start!"
"Ahhhh!" Screaming at the top of his lungs, Mineta threw the balls from his head. One landed right where he was and nine more were thrown in succession, even though his head was bleeding.
Saiba, deciding to end this match, launched himself towards Mineta, but before he reached him, Mineta used the purple ball right next to him and bounced off to a corner of the stage.
Saiba maneuvered himself skilfully and dodged the purple ball that was situated at the position Mineta was.
Reaching the corner, Mineta did the same thing and threw ten purple balls in succession, and when Saiba neared him, Mineta used the purple balls and bounces off from his position.
This happened repeatedly until most of the stage was covered with the purple ball and Mineta was continuously bleeding from his scalps and was out of breath, as Saiba was always on his tail.
Seeing that the stage is mostly covered in his quirk balls, with heavy breathing Mineta shouted at Saiba "Ha..You..ha...can't...ha..catch...ha...me!"
Saiba on the other hand had purposefully slowed down to see what Mineta would do, as he was seen as just a perverted kid in the anime. 'So he could fire off this many balls in under a minute while continuously losing blood. I should end this now, else he will lose his life thanks to over blood loss.'
Taking a deep breath, Saiba jumped to a height of ten meters above his head in standing position, and increased the strength of his legs by absorbing the taser that Mei have left him as a gift after the cavalry battle.
Saiba's speed increased as he was falling from the height of twelve meters, and with the extra strength he gave his legs, the impact was tremendous.
*Boom*
As soon as he landed, the stage cracked into a million pieces, and due to the shockwave produced by his impact on the stage, Mineta and his balls flew out of the boundaries of the stage.
As the dust settled, everyone saw Saiba standing at the center, where the stage is supposed to be and Mineta near the wall of the stadium.
Understanding the situation, Midnight announced "Minoru Mineta out of bounds! Jōichirō Saiba advanced to the quarter finals."
As the result was announced Saiba bowed towards Midnight and went to where his friends were seated.
Mineta was taken away by the staff for treatment, and some of the Class 1B students followed the unconscious Mineta.
In the meantime, Cementos came and fixed the stage, he also removed the purple balls that were stuck on the walls of the stadium.
As the stage was ready, Present Mic called out for the next participants,
[The sixth match of the first round of the 1vs1 tournament!
Ochaco Uraraka from Class 1A.
vs
Katsuki Bakugo, the one who placed fourth in obstacle race and third in calvary battle, from Class 1A Hero Course.]
Midnight asked both of them if they were ready, and they affirmed it. With that, Midnight gave permission to start the fight.
Ochaco immediately rushes at Katsuki, forcing him to counterattack rather than dodge. Ochaco knows that Katsuki starts a fight with a right hook, but still gets hit with one of his explosions. Ochaco is blown back but remains mostly uninjured.
Katsuki tells Ochaco that she should have dropped out of the match and blasts what he believes to be her body. However, Ochaco sent her jacket through the dust as a decoy and Katsuki fell for it. She swiftly gets behind him but Katsuki blasts her away with his incredible reflexes.
She rushes Katsuki again but he says she is too slow and blasts her. Ochaco continues to pressure Katsuki, forcing him to repel her repeatedly with explosions. Pro-Heroes in the crowd believe she is desperate because her aforementioned feint did not work. The crowd casts Katsuki as a villain and starts to boo him because he appears to be dominating Ochaco. All the while, Ochaco continues to attack Katsuki only to be blasted back by his explosions.
Near where the Class 1A students were seated, they heard the first of the boos for Katsuki for not holding back on Ochaco. Shoto turns towards them as he couldn't take it anymore as the whole stadium started to badmouth Katsuki, but before he could say anything, Saiba spoke "He's fighting against her with everything he got. He's not looking down on her, he see's her as a person who could do some serious damage to him if she intended." Then looking at the one who started the mess, Saiba continued with a yawn "Are you.... a pro? If you are, it would be best for the society if you could rethink about your choices." Then murmured to himself in small voice "Same goes for me."
On the stage Katsuki remains focused on his opponent. Despite his onslaught, she remains standing. Katsuki knows their fight is not finished yet and says that Ochaco is not "dead" yet. Ochaco thanks Katsuki for keeping his eyes focused on her.
During the entire fight, Ochaco kept low to the ground so Katsuki's explosions would destroy the floor of the stage. She kept attacking repeatedly to keep his attention on her while she floated several dozen pieces of debris into the air high above the stage.
Ochaco releases the debris from her Quirk, effectively attacking Katsuki with a meteor shower from above. She believes that no matter what Katsuki does in response, she will be able to get in close and touch him. However, Katsuki unleashes a massive explosion that takes everyone by surprise. He blows away all the debris at once while keeping Ochaco back at the same time. After unleashing the explosion, Katsuki's hand begins to shake and he acknowledges that it was a close call for him.
Katsuki says he figured Ochaco had a plan to win because she is friends with Izuku. Ochaco is shocked he managed to foil her plan with one explosion. She stands up and tries to keep fighting despite betting everything on the meteor shower. As she rises, Katsuki comments that it's "time for us to get serious, Ochaco," using her real name for the first time instead of a nickname. However, Ochaco has reached her limit and falls once again, to Katsuki's surprise.
Midnight checks on her and confirms she's unconscious. She declares Katsuki the winner of the match.
[Alright folks, let's give an applause to the participants that presented us with an awe inspiring, jaw dropping match!
Then, to the final match of the the first round of the 1vs1 tournament,
We have Momo Yaoyorozu from Class 1A
vs
Denki Kaminari from Class 1A
Participants, please come on to the stage!]
Midnight as usual asked if both of them were ready, and when she got a positive reply, she started the match.
Denki, who knows that Momo can easily block his strongest attack, decided to play it safe.
But before he could think of a plan or do anything else, he was trapped inside a non conducting net.
Looking around he saw a cord starting from the net and ending at the gun that Momo was holding.
Seeing that Denki used his powerful attack to take out Momo.
Denki charges his electricity and uses his Indiscriminate Shock 1.3 Million Volts technique. But the electricity didn't go out of the net and Denki entered his dumb state.
Momo, who knows what this meant, smiled and with a skip she went near Denki and dragged him off the stage.
Midnight declares Momo as the winner because Denki was out of bounds.
