With the Eight Bullets neutralized, Izuku and Kaina reached the basement, where Chisaki stood in front of Eri, strapped to a metal table, her eyes wide with fear. Chisaki's calm demeanor was gone, replaced by a twisted snarl.
"You think you can just walk in here and do whatever you wish?" Chisaki growled, his hands glowing with the power of his quirk.
Seeing fear in Eri's eyes Kaina didn't waste words. She fired shots at Chisaki, but he disassembled the bullet mid-air. The pieces clattered to the floor harmlessly.
"Stay back!" Chisaki roared, using his quirk to reshape the floor, shooting concrete spikes toward them.
Izuku phased through the attack, reappearing behind Chisaki. He swung a powerful kick at Chisaki's head, but Chisaki blocked it with a concrete wall. Kaina fired again, aiming for Chisaki's legs, but he disassembled the floor beneath him, dropping into a lower level of the basement.
"Coward," Kaina muttered, following him down.
Chisaki reformed the floor above them, trapping them in the basement with him. "You'll never take her from me! She's my experiment subject, and I won't let you save her," he screamed, his eyes wild with desperation.
Kaina and Izuku didn't hesitate. They attacked in tandem, their movements synchronized. Chisaki was powerful, but his desperation made him sloppy.
He lashed out with his quirk, reshaping the environment into a deadly maze of spikes and traps, but Kaina and Izuku easily navigated it.
Kaina landed a shot on Chisaki's arm, causing him to scream in pain and lose focus. He started using the quirk on his hand to repair it.
Izuku took the opportunity to phase through the wall and deliver a devastating punch to Chisaki's chest. The impact sent Chisaki crashing into the wall, blood splattering from his mouth.
"You're done, Chisaki, I would have let you die a less painful death, if you didn't do all that in a mere 6-year-old" Izuku said coldly, stepping over his chest.
Chisaki tried to get up, but Kaina's rifle shot again, and a bullet lodged itself in his other arm. He screamed, collapsing to the floor, his quirk failing him.
Kaina then emptied her entire arsenal, using pistols, SMGs, assault rifles, shotguns, machine guns, LMGs, and sniper rifles. She destroyed all his limbs, adding even more holes to his chest.
However, she spared his heart and mind, wanting him to suffer before dying. Izuku healed him each time Kaina repeated the process, making Chisaki endure the pain repeatedly.
Overhaul begged Izuku just to kill him, but Izuku said, "What's the hurry? You need to live, enduring this pain at least 50 more times. You need to fully understand the state you put that little girl in, traumatizing her for her whole life when she's just a six-year-old."
This continued for at least two more hours as Izuku and Kaina made sure Chisaki suffered and regretted everything he did to Eri.
However, Izuku didn't want Eri to suffer anymore.
So, he let the clone handle the torture, prioritizing safeguarding Eri. He appeared before her, and Eri's eyes widened in terror as she watched Izuku approach. She whimpered, unable to free herself from the metal straps, clearly fearing that Izuku would hurt her too.
Gently, Izuku freed Eri from the table while caressing her head with tenderness, his eyes softening as he looked at the terrified girl. "It's okay now. Big brother has come here to help you."
Eri looked up at him, her eyes filled with tears. "R-Really?"
Izuku nodded, his expression kind. "I'm here to save you. I won't hurt you, I promise. Right now my friend down there is caring for the bad guy who made you cry.
Don't worry, she'll make sure the bad guy never hurts you again. You are free now," Izuku assured her, his words filled with love. He freed her from her confinement and held her in his arms, gently caressing her back.
Eri stared at him for a moment before bursting into tears. She hugged Izuku using her small hands, making sure not to let Izuku go, sobbing into his chest. "T-Thank you," she whispered, exhausted from her ordeal.
Izuku simply held her gently, letting her cry, as he caressed her back, assuring her that everything was okay and that she was safe now.
She eventually fell asleep in his arms. Izuku took her back to the hero tower, where he carefully changed her clothes, making sure she didn't wake up, and tucked her into bed. He placed a teddy bear beside Eri, whom she subconsciously clung to in her sleep, finally at peace.
As Eri drifted into a peaceful sleep, Izuku remained by her side, watching over her with a sense of protectiveness. He gently kissed her forehead, his touch light and tender, before placing his hand on her head, feeling the warmth of her peaceful sleep.
Izuku then asked Kaina if she was done or not, Kaina having finished her task, notified Izuku through the chip. "I'm done," she said as she finally was able to calm her anger down after filling Overhaul's body with over 1000 bullets at atleast 50 times.
Where most of the bullets were used to destroy Overhaul's hands and legs, Izuku then revived him back to his original state, using his overhaul quirk on him, after Izuku took a sample of his quirk factor and replicated it, using his power to cause him even more misery.
Izuku nodded, his gaze still fixed on Eri. "Good. Bring him here," he replied.
Together, Izuku's clone and Kaina brought Chisaki's body back to the hero tower, where they locked him down in a secure location.
Izuku then turned to the clone Izuku, who had returned with the research papers and sample bullets, while Kaina went to freshen up.
"Did you find everything?" Izuku asked, his tone serious.
The clone Izuku nodded, presenting the research papers and sample bullets to the real Izuku and Kaina.
Izuku nodded, Kaina who came back after having a bath sat beside Eri, putting her hand over her face, as she started caressing her face softly.
While Izuku and his clone Izuku went to the other room to discuss other things. They examined the information carefully, knowing that it held the key to preventing further atrocities like the one they had just witnessed.
Once he got hold of all the information he needed and those bullets, he ordered the clone to go and blow up the whole place, including the people inside it, whether dead or unconscious.
With the main mission accomplished, Izuku returned to the room in which Eri was sleeping as he turned his attention back to the sleeping Eri.
He remained by her side, keeping a silent vigil as she slept peacefully, her face calm and serene.
As the hours passed, Izuku couldn't help but feel a sense of loss and sadness at the fact that he would have saved her earlier had he known about this before.
However, seeing Eri's face, he felt happy that he was able to protect her at least now and grateful to himself that he immediately acted upon it, rather than waiting, which would have just added more misery to her already miserable life that had been up till now.
As Izuku and Kaina completed their mission, the clone Izuku swiftly set the explosives, ready to detonate the entire complex. With a press of a button, the explosives went off, engulfing the underground base in a fiery blaze.
The explosion caught the attention of the local police and Sir Nighteye, who had been monitoring Kai Chisaki for some time.
Bubble Girl entered Sir Nighteye's office as she said, "Sir Nighteye, we've got a situation. There's been an explosion at the location we've been monitoring."
Sir Nighteye kept the file aside as he asked with a serious expression, "Explosion? Where?"
Bubble Girl came into the room and showed the surveillance video to Sir Nighteye, she said, "At the underground complex where we suspected Kai Chisaki was operating from. It's destroyed."
Sir Nighteye stood up from the chair as he said "Get the team ready. We need to move in and assess the situation immediately."
Bubble Girl nodded as she said, "Right away, Sir."
As they rushed to the scene, they found only destruction and chaos, evidence of the fierce battle that had taken place.
Sir Nighteye's mind raced with possibilities. Had they missed something in their surveillance? Was Chisaki still alive, or had someone else taken him down? The answers awaited them amidst the wreckage of the destroyed complex.
Meanwhile, back at the hero tower, Izuku remained by Eri's side, his heart heavy with mixed emotions. He watched over her as she slept peacefully, her small form wrapped in innocence and vulnerability.
Despite the turmoil surrounding them, Izuku felt a sense of solace knowing that Eri was safe at last. He vowed to protect her with all his strength, determined to ensure that she would never have to endure such suffering again.
