Nathan's Stupid Plan To Win Me Back

It's been a week since I shot Nathan. A week since we've been living in the warehouse. I've managed to keep my appearances back at my base but with Nathan gone, it was harder to keep my group under control. I needed to start my plans all over agin and I don't know who I trust anymore. Jonathan is still on the run and I still haven't heard back from him today. Sighing I flipped through the file again. It was disturbing the more times I read it. It was disgusting what they even dared to put into the formula. They had babies and kids on this stuff.

All I wanted to do was burn the information from my mind. I picked up my binoculars again and watched Jackson move silently around his house. I knew he never spelt but this was getting beyond scary. Maybe he was not he drugs as well. I've been watching him or days now. I think he sent his family away making she they weren't harmed in this war. But he's got to be stupid to think moving them will keep them out of harms way. I still haven't figured out who the mole was and the Hawks team leader reported that Jackson was fully aware that I was alive and well and back in the city. Chucking my equipment back it he trunk of my car, I strolled up to the front door. Causally ringing the door bell, I heard shuffling and a crash from inside. Seconds later the door opened and there stood a shell shocked Jackson. I guess he didn't think I would do this.

"Boss"

"What are you doing here?"

"I completed my mission. I apologise it took me some time but it's done"

"What on earth are you talking about?"

Ignoring him, I pushed my way inside, stepping over the broken vase I the hallway making my way to the kitchen. I opened the fridge and pulled out a can of beer. Cracking it open I stood, my back facing the kitchen window. Jackson was still shocked that I even dared to enter his house.

"Explain"

"They were quite hard to kill but killing one seemed to make it a lot easier to kill the others. Although killing a kid was the hardest thing I had to do. She was pretty. She had your eyes"

I sculled the drink as I watched the shock turn into anger.

"I knew you had great taste and it was such a shame to kill your beautiful wife. She put up a wonderful fight though. You must have trained her well"

He rushed towards me but I easily pushed him aside. He reeked of alcohol. Maybe my existence was stressing him out a lot more than I thought. Well I am going to enjoy this a lot more now. Smirking I moved around his swaying body. It was going to be one of my easiest kills. The smile dropped from my face and I pushed myself away from the drunk man. This wasn't going to be enjoyable at all, if he doesn't fight back at all. Sighing I held in a dead lock and leaned in really close.

"I will be seeing you later Jackson. Make sure you dream of me covered in your wife's blood"

I pinched his pressure point and watched his body drop to the floor. I walked straight back out the front door, not without out staring straight at the spotter across the street. The light on his rifle moved a millimetre, and I chuckled. Jackson was prepared but he will never be able to beat me, not in this lifetime. The drive back to the warehouse was silent, as I kept the radio off to keep an ear out for possible gunmen. The small back up group was surprised to see me and I think I was more surprised to see both Jonathan and Nathan sitting in at the dining table.

"Did you kill him?"

"Unfortunately he lives to breathe another day. But I did provoke him. Now the fun will finally begin"

"Is everything a game to you?"

"Yes. And I just came up with another fun game. How fast will you be able to run on your injured leg?"

I flicked out my knife and without thinking, threw it straight at Nathan. He didn't move, letting it hit him straight in the shoulder. I'm pretty sure Melanie screamed out but Nathan just maintain eye contact with me. Nothing, no whimper of pain, no flinch. Sometimes I forget that he was on the same thing as me.

"What the hell is wrong with you?"

I rolled my eyes at Melanie and shrugged my shoulders. It has been a long night and I didn't get the kill that I was hoping for. I guess Nathan's blood will have to fulfil me for now.

"Why did you even bother coming back? You know full well what I do to traitors and you also know that I would not go easy on you"

"I've come to beg for forgiveness"

Laughing, I walked towards him and pulled the knife out of his shoulder. His face showed a little bit of a flinch but ti was to tiny to punish him for it. I pulled a chair forward and sat down, planting the knife into his leg. This time his face showed more than he should have. He realised his mistake when I twisted the knife one hundred and eighty degrees, with a smirk on my face.

"Oli what are you doing to him? This is insane"

"I would be quiet Melanie, unless you would like to be next"

Nathan almost snapped out the words but she squeaked herself into silence. I left the knife in his leg and leaned back in the chair, almost impressed with this boy.

"Why did you come back?"

"Like I said, i've come to beg for forgiveness"

"Don't make me laugh Nathan. We've known each other for almost fifteen years. Don't you dare come to me bringing that crap. You've worked under me for long enough to know that I won't hesitate to just put one through your head right now. Now let me ask you again, why are you here?"

The silence fogged up the room. I know why he was here but I wanted to hear for myself why he thought I would let him come back. Why he thought I should pardon him? I tapped my foot, leaning forward again. Patience was never my strong point. I tapped the area around the knife, making his leg jump in pain.

"Don't make me repeat myself Nate"

"I have Jackson's family"

"I know"

For the first time in fifteen years, Nathan looked up at me in surprise.

"How?"

"Just because I let you walk free, did you really think you were free? I knew you would try and find something that appease my taste and you almost got me, almost. But you tend to forget that I am an agent, a robot warrior. A small present does nothing when what I asked for was a large present"

"I'm sorry, but we still haven't been able to find the mole"

"Then why did you even bother coming back to me empty handed?"

"I'm sorry"

"If you apologise to me again, I will use that as an excuse to kill you with my bare hands. And you?"

Jonathan jumped when my eyes landed on him. It looks like he was trying to shrink way from me, hoping I would just overlook his presence here.

"Yes ma'am?"

"Where the hell have you been?"

"Everywhere and nowhere. I can't go home just yet"

"Why on earth not?"

"My brother James, tightened security and there is a bounty out for me"

"Well I think I have figured out a way for everything to more along the tracks. Get some sleep people, we have a big day out tomorrow. And Mels?"

"Yes"

"Patch Nathan up for me please"
