37-The Game (2)

Aska left School and went home, on his way home the burner phone started ringing.

"Hello young man. Ready for task number 2?" - The author

"Just tell me what do you want?" - Aska sounding little hostile

"You have to leave me your School ID for 6 hours. Leave it at this address, and come back six hours later to pick it up" - The author says as he sends a notification with the address on it.

"I'll be there in an hour or two" - Aska

"I don't care" - The author hangs up

Aska kept walking back to the train station to go back home, or the hotel near his house. Aska made sure to do exactly what he would usually do after school. When it was 5 pm he got a telepathic message from Nemu

[Hello? Aska. I'm just doing the routine check up] - Nemu

[Yeah I'm here. get in touch with Mr. Aizawa. Tell him the villain wants me to give him my school ID for six hours and pick back up later] - Aska

Aska went to the hotel, took off his school uniform, got some food to eat, and took a shower. He did random things to waste time until finally Nemu got back to him.

[Aska, the principal said to take the ID on your bed to the villain instead of your actual ID] - Nemu

[What ID?] - Aska asks as he walks out of the bathroom, to see a student ID on his bead.

[Not sure, but that's what the principal said. Do you want me to tell him it's not there?] - Nemu

[No. I see it here] - Aska was wandering how did the ID get on his bed. 'Teleportation maybe?'

Aska took the ID and started making his way to the address. Not long after he was at the address. Aska dropped the ID at the exact spot as instructed, and walked away.

Aska spent six hours with nothing, every time Nemu contacts he would ask if Nezu gave any instructions.

Six hours later Aska goes to the same spot and picks up his ID and quietly went back to his hotel room.

Once it was around midnight, Aska told Nemu to go to sleep. Poor girl was going to wake up once every hour to check on him, he told her to check on him again at 7AM.

Next morning Aska wakes up and starts dressing up. 'I haven't spoken to dad much since two days ago. Maybe I should go and say something' - Aska went to his fathers room and knocks on it. Aska can feel his father's presence inside the room. A minute later Aska's father opens the door.

"Hey dad, I'm about to head to school" - Aska in a neutral voice not sure how his father would react.

"Take care ok? Be careful and don't make any unnecessary stops until you get to UA" - Dad, he sounded tired and on the brink of passing out

"When was the last time you slept dad?" - Aska

"I can't sleep at all, I feel like I won't wake up again if I sleep without knowing where Uyeno is" - Dad

{A/N: I know I haven't used their names in a while but Uyeno is the mother and Hirai is the father}

Aska sighs and walks up to his dad, "Come on" Aska drags his father to the bed and tells him to sit down.

"What are you doing Aska?" - dad asks in a tired tone. But before he could say anything else Aska shocks him quickly and precisely. 'Thankfully dad had his guard down, or he would've stored my electricity and this whole thing wouldn't have worked. Anyway this should keep him out for an hour or two at most.' Aska walks out of the room with his now asleep father, and heads to school.

Aska was on edge the whole time, Aizawa hadn't said anything to him, nor asked him to hand back the fake ID, or anything. 'Nezu needs me to be in the dark about certain things for his plane to work, but I really can't keep waiting like this' - When it was the end of the day, Aska was debating if he should head to the principal's office or not, but he understood the risk of showing up at the principal's office. If the author finds out, his mother would be killed, so ultimately he decided to wait.

[Hey Aska! The principal requested for you to head to his office] Nemu's voice sounded in his head.

Aska was worried for a second, but he decided to ask Nezu when he got to his office

Aska left his bag with the burner phone, the red paper, and the fake ID in his class and then made his way to Nezu's office.

Inside the office was everyone just like last time.

"Hello young Minamoto" - All might

"Hello everyone" - Aska said, but his voice sounded depressed

"Don't be so down like that" - Nezu

"Why did you tell Nemu to contact me through the mental link? Was there something important?" - Aska

"Not at all. I thought that it was a faster way of contacting you" - Nezu

"Tsk. So why are we here again. Every time we meet like this, the risk of the author finding out increases. So please unless you have a solution to this, don't call me here! and don't tell me not to be so down!!" - Aska's voice was louder and louder with each word.

"I see. You're blaming yourself" - Nezu

"Of course I'm blaming myself. I want to be the number one hero but my own mother was kidnapped from the room next to mine" - Aska this time much more depressed and on the brink of crying

Nezu wrote down something on a piece of paper and then looked back up at Aska. "We will solve this later. Besides that I obviously didn't call you here for no reason. Just like you might've suspected, someone tried to temper with the fake ID I gave you. And of course I was able to get the coordinates of the spot where it was tempered with" - Nezu

Aska stands up with a shocked look on his face. "Then let's head there now, if we can take him down quickly then we can save my mother and bring her back" - Aska

All might and Aizawa stared at Aska with a sad and conflicted look on their faces, as for Nemu, she was confused, and Nezu had just started brewing tea.

"What?! Why are you all just sitting there, let's go!" - Aska

"First of all there is no we. You might think you're a hero and strong but you can't go with us anywhere. Second, the place was a dud. The spot was in the middle of the ocean. We used satellite images and there was nothing there" - Mr. Aizawa

Aska falls back down on his seat not knowing what to do. "So...now what?" - Nemu broke the quite

"Well the place was a dud, or at least seemed to be, above water that is. Luckily someone like Gang orca was on the case. I already sent the coordinates to him, he's heading there as we speak" - Nezu.

"Young Minamoto, you should wait patiently. We're not trying to capture him today, but we merely want to make sure we're at the right spot. And once we confirm the location, all the heroes and the police involved in this case will be there" - All Might

Aska puts a hand on his chin and starts thinking. 'All might is right. Someone like Gang Orca can scout out the area without getting noticed, he is one of the best predators in the sea after all'

"It seems you're convinced. Well then you can head home if you want, or wait in school until Gang Orca gets back to us" - Mr. Aizawa

"I would advice against the second option. You've been away from your phones for a while, I would say you should go back and do your usual routine after school, Nemu will keep in touch with you like usual. And if everything goes normally, then Gang Orca will pay and your father a visit" - Nezu

Aska walks back to his class, by the time he gets there, the classroom is completely empty, except for one seat,

"What are you doing here Momo?" - Aska

"You left the classroom without saying anything and left your bag behind. So I waited to talk to you." - Momo

"You were here the whole time? Did my phone go off? Did you hear my phone ringing" -Aska

Momo was angry at Aska for ignoring her, "No!" -Momo yelled at Aska and stormed off.

"Wait Momo!" - Aska shouted and ran after her. 'Thank god she ran out, I want to tell her what happened but the phone is still in the room, this way it would seem a bit more natural.

Aska could've caught up to Momo a long while back, but he wanted to make sure to be far away from the classroom so he slowed down and chased her for a bit.

Once they were far enough, Aska caught up to Momo and stopped her. "Sorry that I've ignored you like that. It's very complicated so please give me a chance to explain" - Aska

"Then explain. You're not talking to me or anyone in the class, you've stopped responding to text messages and when we're in class you're quite and lost in thought, so please explain!" - Momo

"You see, three days ago my mom was kidnapped by a villain..." - Aska spoke, and the more he explained the more horrified Momo looked.

After explaining to her what had happened she started sobbing, "I'm sorry I yelled at you, I didn't know you were going through all of that alone" - Momo hugged Aska and started crying

Aska stood there in silence, just waiting for Momo to calm down before saying anything else

"Alright Momo I have to go back now" - Aska

"Be careful please. And if I, or my family can help, then let me know. You saw how influential my family and our friends are, so don't hesitate ok?" - Momo

"Thanks for the offer, but if today goes as well as I hope it to be, then I won't need your family and friends" - Aska thought back to the possibility that gang Orca can find a lead.

After that Aska went back to the classroom and fetched his bag, he checked the burner phone, and there seemed to be no missed calls.

Aska got back to the hotel, and his father was there. He was sitting on a couch looking towards a big window showing the almost dark sky. "How dare you do that to me Aska" - Dad

"Do what?" - Aska

"Shock me into sleep like that" - Dad

Aska looks at his father for a moment. "You're welcome" - Aska said as he sat on the couch next to his father

"Thanks, I needed that" - dad

"I know. You should sleep and take care of yourself. Mom would be very sad if she came back and saw you like that" - Aska with a cheeky laugh

"Hopefully that lead they have, can reach something" - dad

"Yeah" - Aska nodded

Aska and his father spoke for a while. until Aska got a telepathic message from Nemu.

[Aska, go somewhere private the principal wants to talk to you]

Aska excuses himself and walks out of the room heading towards the roof.

"Hello Mr. principle? you wanted to talk to me?" - Aska spoke on his phone in a hopeful tone, he wanted to hear the good news from Nezu.

"Hello Aska, I have some sad news for you. During the investigation Gang Orca died"

I have a question that I need your help with. Please read the whole thing and give it some thought before leaving an answer.

Should the MC's haki have qualities to counter other people's quirks? LET ME EXPLAIN!

Shanks can control his haki/breathing to prevent people from seeing the future, should the MC be able to do the same with Sir Nighteye for example

Another example, if Shigaraki or Overhaul touch the MC, but the MC is coated in armament haki, will the MC be affected by their quirks, or will haki protect him?

If you think haki should NOT be able to counter quirks please tell me why.

If you think haki should be able to counter quirks, do you think regular observation/armament is enough, or only advanced forms of haki should be able to?

My opinion is only advanced haki should counter other peoples quirks. Please let me know what you think.
