Chapter 9: New Friends

Sainan High School.

7:05AM.

Locker Room.

With the first toll of the bell to start the day at Sainan High School, it gave enough time to give students to get their class materials. It was a period of ten minutes, with the first class starting at 7:10AM. Recess would happen every two classes, and there were six classes total. High school education was pretty generalized, and didn't dive into specialties until one was in their last year, which would prepare them for University.

Thankfully the school pays for all the books and mine were already in my locker upon arrival. I could see a few students here and there yet most of them stayed a certain distance away from me.

All but Rito anyways. I could see him storing his things away for the day. As we were gathering our things, I saw a new individual arrive, a boy of similar age to Rito, with rather black, spiky hair.

"Hey there, Rito-kun. Looks like you were able to make it here.", The boy called out to us, but I could see hesitation in his eyes. Rito's gaze lit up seeing the boy arrive.

"Saru-kun! I haven't seen you in a while. Just getting ready for the first period.", Rito said, calling out as he waved to the boy. Yet the boy flinched as he tried to step closer, causing Rito to blink his eyes.

"Is something wrong, Saru-kun?", Rito tried to ask why the boy was behaving this way. I just saw the black haired boy's eyes turn wide as he heard Rito ask that.

"You're joking, right? Are you really not seeing it?", The boy said, frowning. Rito just blinked his eyes in confusion.

"Seeing what, Saru-kun?", Rito asked in confusion.

"THAT!", The boy immediately said, pointing at me. 

With the boy pointing at me, I paused getting my things together for class. This boy was one of Rito's only friends, wasn't he? I could currently see him with a few students that liked to hang out together, but for some reason, I could see them shivering. Seeing their appearance mused me, considering I saw Rito appearing normal.

"Oh, you mean Baki-san? Is something wrong with him?", Rito asked, still showing confusion in his eyes.

Hearing that, the boy smacked his face and did a facepalm.

"A-Are you not shivering like we are?", The boy suddenly asked.

"And why would you think that, Saru-kun? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?", Rito asked.

"No I didn't!", The boy immediately retorted. Seeing Rito still fine, he could only let out a sigh. "Now listen here Rito-kun, it's like I'm staring right into the eyes of a Bengal tiger! Tell me, did this thug coerce you into following him?", The boy retorted, squinting his eyes.

Well, there's another title thrown at me.

"So I'm a loser, a cheater, and a thug now?", I mused, revealing a playful smile. 

At the same time, I did a swift motion of my hand, closing the locker door after getting my stuff.

Bang!

All of a sudden, a loud bang struck the entire locker room.

The boy in front of me with the black spiky hair had his jaw drop down.

"I already have to go to the faculty's room later, might as well add another one to the list.", I retorted, seeing the action that I had just done.

Rito was equally startled by the sudden bang, only to be surprised as well.

My locker door was smashed in, showing a large dent.

I really need to get on a training regime pronto. Baki had ridiculous strength, didn't he?

Thankfully I was in Japan right now, and not in the United States. MCU-wise, most events happened in the United States, and I was far from there currently. I am not sure if mutants existed, and I'd rather not want to find out.

Knowing the existence of Cursed Spirits was enough for the moment. They were much more prevalent here in Asia. 

I forgot to mention it, but recalling what I had seen to my left back when Yujiro came knocking, I knew I recognized that figure.

It would seem Gojo Satoru is my neighbor. Was that what God mentioned shuffling a few things around to make it more convenient? Hell, Jujutsu Kaisen didn't even take place in Tokyo, it happened in an entirely different prefecture to the north as I recall. In the Miyagi Prefecture. 

"The hell are you guys goin' on about? Class is about to start, you know.", A voice suddenly called out to us. 

"Yuji-san is right. We all should hurry. Stop playing around. Seeing the actions you've done, I guess you'll have a busy time after class, but don't make other people wait.", A second voice said, calling out to us as well.

I saw two boys enter my view, sporting the same school uniform we were wearing.

"W-We aren't playing around though...Don't tell me you don't feel the shivering too?", The black haired boy said, frowning?

"Now why would I feel that? Stop overexaggerating yourselves and head to class.", The first voice said, only to reveal a rather tall figure come into view. A second figure followed beside him. The second figure was the same boy I saw who kept to himself on the bench earlier. I heard him raise a loud voice a few moments ago, but the courtyard was quite big. His voice didn't carry enough to reach where we were. 

As for the first figure, I saw a second boy with a lean and muscular physique, though his build wasn't as apparent as what I had. He had short and spiky pink hair. When I heard this boy speak, I could hear distinct Japanese compared to the rest of us, signaling that he had a dialect. 

This boy was Itadori Yuji, wasn't he? But who was the boy with the large-frame glasses next to him? I could see students still shivering with the black haired boy, but for some reason, I didn't see Rito, the pink haired boy and the glasses-wearing boy shivering at all.

And now that I've thought about it, of the worlds selected for me, I'm currently standing next to two other protagonists of the additional worlds. No, perhaps it was three? Let me guess, this was God's doing.

[You would be correct, Master. Both Yuuki Rito and Takakura Ken are natural residents of Tokyo, so it wasn't hard to relocate them. Relocating Itadori Yuji took some effort, considering his home was located in Sendai. So yes, that means the events that are to come with his story will happen here in Tokyo, and not in the Miyagi Prefecture.] Aura's voice suddenly resounded in my head, causing me to frown.

Well that's just great. More cursed spirits to worry about.

That did make me wonder though, since Yuji seems to be attending Sainan High like I am, perhaps I could get a jump on him and try to consume Sukuna? Though if I did that, Yuji wouldn't have as easy a time to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer...

I also had another look at he the glasses-wearing boy. Did Aura just say his name was Takakura Ken? Guess we shared the same last for a period of time. I cross-checked what I knew with the additional worlds given to me during this time.

I could only guess this boy was the main character of the Dandandan series.

[That would be correct, Master.] Aura said again, giving me confirmation that the second boy in front of me was indeed another protagonist.

So that means of the seven worlds, I currently have four protagonists in the same school...?

"I do agree we should all head to class. I'll catch you around, Rito-kun. Unless you're in Room 1S like I am.", I said, trying to steer clear of the situation at hand.

"1S...", Rito frowned. "Looks like we aren't. Come on Saru-kun, stop playing around and let's go.", Rito said, walking up to the black haired boy.

"B-But we aren't playing around!", The black haired boy retorted.

Still, he soon vanished along with Rito and the other students.

"I do apologize for intruding but did you just say you're heading to 1S?", The glasses-wearing boy approached me, only to turn wide eyed the moment he got up close. "And just how on earth did you get muscles like these?", the boy retorted.

"No kiddin'. I don't think hitting the gym would be enough to explain whatever it is you are. It was Baki, right?", Yuji asked me, approaching me as well. "What a coincidence. I too am in 1S. Guess we'll be in the same classroom.", Yuji continued to say.

"I am called Baki, yes. It really is such a coincidence, isn't it?", My eyes entered a deadpan look while saying that. Seeing me do that just confused the two.

"Name's Yuji. Yuji Itadori.", Yuji said, giving a short introduction of himself.

"Likewise, I'm Ken Takakura. Seeing as we'll be fellow classmates, I do hope we'll get along.", Ken said, moving his glasses up and down a bit. I could see some nervousness in his eyes, but he wasn't shivering or anything like the other boys were. 

"So it's Yuji-kun and Ken-kun. Nice to meet you two.", I said, nodding my head as I introduced myself.

I proceeded to ignore the dented locker and we all headed inside, making our way toward the end of the first hallway. Other students either entered doors earlier than us or went up the staircase. I could see some students making way for us or running away If we got close to them. Don't tell me, is this going to be a normal thing that's going to frequently happen?

I just don't know why Yuji and Ken aren't affected by this. Nor Rito.

Yet as we continued along the hallway, eventually arriving at the door to 1S, the three of us saw a brown-haired girl standing in front, waiting to head in. Wasn't this the girl who was late and had Yui give her a one-way ticket to the faculty room like I did?

The moment we came into view, the girl immediately frowned.

"Oh great, it's the loser. Don't tell me I'm sharing the same classroom with him.", The girl immediately retorted, revealing a frown.

"Heh, looks like it. Oh, I'm not just a loser anymore, by the way. I'm a cheater and a thug now too, apparently.", I said with a playful grin. The girl just gave me a deadpan look the moment she heard that.
