Chapter 4 Lonely-hearts

"There she paused for a while thinking… but the temptation was so great: that she could not conquer it."

Nick, Monroe, and Victor can be seen training in the backyard of Victor's house early in the morning.

As they were finishing up, they sat down on the grass.

Victor "So, Nick do you plan to talk about the Wesen side to Juliete and Hank."

Nick "And make them think that I have gone mad. No thank you."

Victor "They may reject the idea at first but trust me it is always better to prepare them in advance because they are with you and sooner or later, they will know about the Wesen world."

Monroe "He is right you know Nick. And when they find out on their own, they are going to lose their mind."

Nick "Maybe you are right I am going to think about it."

Monroe "And by the way why don't you look tired at all Victor."

Victor "Oh please this little training is just a warmup. I have got great stamina. It's very useful if you know what I mean hehehe."

Monroe just rolls his eyes. 

Just then Nick's phone rang. He picks it up and it is about a case. 

Nick "I got to go guys see you later."

Victor and Monroe "Okay."

Victor "by the way I got a surprise for you later."

Nick "What.." Seeing victor smile like a toddler he stops and says "You know what I don't have time for this now gotta go."

Nick walks away and Monroe also gets up to go to his house. 

After a while.

After Finishing his shower and breakfast he went to his basement. 

Vanya "welcome, Boss."

Victor "Thanks Vanya. Anything change that I should know about."

Vanya "Nothing major Boss. But Project Infiltration has been completed."

Victor "Really that's good to know. I can't wait to see the look on Nick's Face. What did it cost me Vanya?"

Vanya "Nothing you couldn't afford boss. Just some money and some favors form higher ups."

Victor "Okay I got to get ready for my new job. And please could you look after my restaurant for me?"

Vanya "Of course Boss. It is my pleasure."

Victor "Okay thanks."

Then Victor goes back up to his house and takes out a black suit to wear for his new job. 

Scene Change

Inside the precinct 

Nick and Hank after questioning the husband of the deceased women were talking with Captain Shawn Reinard.

Shawn "What do you got?"

Nick "Well according to faith's credit card, she had a couple of drinks at a bar called blue moon."

Hank "The bartender said she talked with some locals, but she left alone."

Nick "She did not have a car. Her license was suspended. We are checking with cab companies now to see who picked her up."

Shawn "Call to the house 4 times for domestic disturbance. Her husband has been arrested 2 times for abuse. Sounds like a battered wife who couldn't break the cycle. You sure the husband is not covering?"

Hank "Could be he admits to arguing with her."

Shawn "Any chance she talked to any family members about her problems last night?"

Hank "No Calls on her cell after 9."

Nick "What about her 322 friends online?"

Just then there is a knock on the door.

Shawn "Okay you check with them. Come in."

Wu pokes his head in and says, "Sir, someone is here to meet you."

Shawn "Okay send him in."

Nick and Hank go to their desk to search for clues online. 

In Reinard office Victor walks in wearing his black suit and sunglasses.

Shawn "Welcome to Portland P.D. Victor, right? You are praised a lot by chief and higher up."

Victor "Thank you Captain."

Shawn "You will be assigned to Nick and Hank as you have requested."

Victor "Ohh You sure do work fast captain."

Suddenly the simile on Victor face vanishes and he says, "But you should not try to kill someone in Portland specially not a Grimm even after I warned you little Hexenbiest."

Shawn frowns and does not say anything.

Victor "You and your mother came here for asylum against the Royals, and you got one. And I assure you as long as I am here Royals will not be coming to Portland to cause you trouble, but I suggest you do the same and stay out of the trouble."

Shawn nods.

Victor similes "Well then why don't you introduce me to my new partners."

Nick and Hank are busy looking through faith's Facebook page. 

Nick "Check it out looks like some garden?"

Hank "Could be a private garden? When did she post it?"

Nick "11:37 she posted it form cell phone."

Just then Shawn and Victor walk in.

Shawn "Excuse me boys, I would like you to meet your new partner, Victor Ackermann. Highly recommended by higher ups as Civilian Consultant."

Victor just smiles and says, "Hello how do you do? Hehe"

Hanks and Nick both get surprised seeing somebody that they knew. 

Nick 'So that's what he meant when he said he had a surprise for me later.'

Hank and Nick "Welcome to Portland P.D."

Victor "Thank you for having me."

Shawn "So you guys continue the case and I have something else to do."

After saying that he walks away.

Victor "So what's this case about?"

Hank then explained the case to Victor.

Hank "Did you get the GPS co-ordinates?"

Nick "Yeah, 1516 Longacre Road Portland, The bramble house, a bed and breakfast. It is right near the bridge."

Hank "Then let's go."

Victor "Ohh, so excited for our first case together."

Scene Change

Outside The Bramble House.

Nick, Hank, and Victor just got out of Hank's Car.

Nick "Look at that, a MGB roadster."

Nick "You ready for a little trivial."

Victor "Ohh I am. Royal blue and comb bumpers, Collectors call this model right there, the most desirable MG ever made."

Nick "Wow, you know your stuff."

Victor "hehehe thank you."

Inside The Bramble House.

Hank and Nick show a photo of Faith to the owner.

Owner "Of course. Yes, I remember her. She came in around 11 o'clock. I was just in the kitchen taking out some biscuits for breakfast. I heard the bell ring, so I went and got the door."

Hank "So what did she want?"

Owner "Ohh she wanted to look at the garden and rooms."

Nick "She just looked and did not stay?"

Owner "No she did not stay. She just looked at the garden and went back. It's not like I can force my guests to stay." 

Victor "So can we see this garden you are talking about."

Owner "Yes of course."

Just as he was leading them to the garden, he brushes past Hank and after that Hank looks a little bit dazed. Nick does not notice anything but Victor notices this. 

In the garden

The owner was introducing his garden when Hank walking in daze steps on a frog. 

Seeing this the owner gets upset, he goes to pick up the frog and in the reflection Nick and Victor see him Woge he looked like a goat-like creature. 

After finishing their interview, they go outside. 

Back at the Portland P.D. Precinct 

A reaper is seen asking about the shooting that Nick was involved in, but he got no information was just leaving when he passed Nick, Hank, and Victor. 

Victor just gets a notification in his phone about the same man he just passed. 

Vanya 'A Reaper sighted in Portland' Along with it came the picture of the man.

Victor "Keep track of him. I need his ID and location Vanya."

Vanya "On it boss."

Hank is busy with something when Nick comes to talk with Victor.

Nick "Do you know what that owner is?"

Victor "Ohh yes, he is a Ziegevolk. Goat like creatures who have a natural pheromone that attracts female. They just want to make and normally they are not one for violence but seeing as he keeps lots of toad, he seems to be herder who likes to herd the women and mate with a lot of them."

Nick "So this could be our guy?"

Victor "I am 90% sure this is our guy."

Nick "Thanks."

Victor "That's what I am here for. Listen can you handle this I have something that I need to do."

Nick "Yeah sure."

Victor "okay then I am out of your hair."

Outside the Precinct 

Victor "Vanya location?"

Vanya "Got it boss. Linking with your GPS now."

Victor "Thanks."

In the Hotel the Reaper is staying.

Victor breaks into the reaper's room and waits for him. When the reaper came in the room Victor jumps on him and knocks his out. 

When the reaper regains his consciousness, he is tied to the chair. 

Victor "So who send you Mr. reaper?"

Reaper "Nobody."

Just as Victor was about to interrogate him somebody else comes in the room.

When he looks behind, he sees Captain Shawn.

Victor "Fancy seeing you here captain. Are you behind all this?"

Shawn "You know I have nothing to do with this. I just came to warn him to stay out of Portland as it is my territor… *cough* Your territory."

Victor squints his eyes "Okay then I think that is a better idea then what I was about to do."

Shawn just breathes a sigh of relief. 

Victor turns around sees the Repear dead in the eye and tells, "You heard the man. I hope you know what to do." victor then rips the arm of the man. 

The man screams in pain, but Victor just covers his mouth and tells him, "Next one will lose his head."

After saying that he leaves, Shawn just sighs as he has to clean up the mess. 

Victor is not a cruel man, but he believes that showing mercy to those that want to hurt you is just being cruel to oneself. 

Victor "Can you give me the location of my partners? Vanya."

Victor "Of course boss."

Scene change

Nick and Hank follow the lead against the owner of the Bed and Breakfast. 

With the help of Monroe Nick follows the owner to the bar named Blue moon and Hank goes inside the Hotel to check it out. 

Everything goes just like in the canon. 

Hank is affected by the touch of the ziegevolk and some gas that he released in the basement, and he is hallucinating. 

Monroe Follows the owner inside the bar, from where he informs Nick about his next target. 

As Nick follows the owner back to the hotel he decides to intervene to save the next target of the owner. 

Nick "Excuse me miss; I am with Portland P.D. There are some questions that I would like to ask you."

Seeing Nick, the owner gets spooked and tells the women, "You should go with the detective."

The owner then goes inside his room and begins to pack his bag.

Nick calls Hank but he does not answer his phone, so he goes inside to check on him. 

When he reaches the basement, he sees Hank passed out and 3 women in cage kept like dogs. 

The owner sees the opportunity and runs outside.

When Hank and Nick rush outside to chase the owner, they see the owner lying on the floor and Victor standing over him.

Victor "Dudes, were you looking for him?"

Hank and Nick just smile at his antics and call other sergeants. 

After the procedures are complete Victor says his goodbyes and goes back to his house. 

Scene change

Inside Victor House. 

Victor "I am home."

Vanya "Welcome back boss."

Victor "Anything change?"

Vanya "Nothing serious except the reaper but there have been some changes from the royal side."

Victor "Oh and what changed?"

Vanya "They are preparing to focus on Portland as they got news that Shawn Reinard has a Grimm under him."

Victor smiles and says, "Let them come."
