Game of Thrones: Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken

This is just me scribbling nonsense, don't take it too seriously... Basically, MC is a Martell, he was born before the war of the usurper and right after the war of the nine penny kings. he would lead the Dornish to the road of independence, with guns and cannons... MC x Ashara, not a harem. This is more of an idea rather than a full story, you can tell by the way I wrote it, so I probably won't update this at all. also, it's an IDEA, don't complain about short chapters, I'll turn it into a full story once my other fanfic is finished, assuming that nobody wants to pick it up. lots of cringy sentences, illogical events, etc. you have been warned lol. if anyone wants to refine it or rewrite it entirely, feel free to do so. I don't own anything, including the cover.

The Solar

[Oberyn's POV]

I walked through the empty halls of the Old Palace, I could feel the hot climate of Dorne heating up the place, it was hot, sweats started coming down from my forehead, I had just come back from Volantis to pick up my daughter, Nymeria. Yet when I arrived back at home, I was struck with the worst news of all, Rhaegar had kidnapped a northern girl, leaving Elia behind in King's Landing.

I was now walking towards the Solar of my brother Doran. I want to know what his reasoning is to avoid war now, Doran is blind, he always said that Elia was safe with the queen and the prince, look at where we are now.

I slammed the door of the Solar, where I already saw Doran and Morian sitting beside the window. Morian looked calm as always, but Doran looked pale, as if he was tired.

"Where's the letter from the Vale?" I questioned roughly.

Morian threw the piece of paper towards me, I read the letter, it was true, it really was a call for a rebellion.

"We will accept the call right?" I asked calmly, but I had used a threatening tone.

"No."

I looked to the two of my brothers, it wasn't Doran who spoke, it was Morian.

"What do you mean 'No'?!" I questioned, almost screaming, I slammed my fist to the table, almost breaking it. "What is the use of your so-called military revolution then?! A decor?!"

"Calm down Oberyn, or I'll tie you up like you used to tie up one of your whores." threatened Morian.

I scoffed at his words. "As if you could do that." but I calmed down, I sat with them, waiting for an answer. "Explain."

Doran then looked at me. "We will wait until the right time, until then, we will 'side' with the throne."

"Are you serious?" I questioned again. "We? Side with the throne, after what Rhaegar had done to Elia?!"

"Officially we will side with the throne, but we won't do or give anything to them." continued Morian. "Our uncle is still the Kingsguard Oberyn, Ser Arthur is still a Kingsguard too."

I nodded, he was right, they are also family. "So, what are you going to do? Just nothing?"

Morian shook his head. "We will watch the course of the war, preparing for war and recruiting levies, while I work on how to bring Ser Arthur, our uncle, and Elia and her children back to Dorne. Elia will be easy to bring, but uncle Lewyn and Ser Arthur have an oath to fulfil."

I looked towards the Window, thinking about Morian's plans. "Are you sure they will agree to go back to Dorne?"

Morian sighed. "I do not know… I just hope that I don't have to kill them…"

Doran frowned. "What do you mean 'kill'? We are not kinslayers Morian."

"I know brother, but-"

"There's no excuse for kinslaying Morian, you will get full punishment if you did it, do you understand?"

Morian sighed. "Very well."

Then, a knock came from the door, the knock looked frantic, as if it was panicking.

"Who is it?" Doran questioned.

"It's Ashara, prince Doran."

Doran looked at Morian, who shrugged. "Come in," he said to Ashara.

Ashara then entered the room, she looked pale, she looked like she had seen a ghost.

"What's wrong Ashara?" questioned Morian, a bit worried.

"I- What are you going to do with my brother?" she questioned.

Morian looked guilty after that. "We're not going to do anything to him Ashara, rest assured."

"Which side are we going to fight then?" she questioned.

Morian frowned. "I will tell you later Ashara, now is not the time." Morian then dragged her out from the room, calming her down as they exited.

When Morian was gone, I questioned Doran. "Whose idea was it to wait?"

Doran sighed. "It was mine," he said. "Morian understood the urgency of the matter, we cannot be careless here Oberyn, or our uncle's and Elia's life would be threatened."

I tapped my fingers on the table. "How about Elia? Is she safe?"

Doran nodded. "For now, Morian's sworn-sword is looking after her, Morian said that if something ever happened, they will move, and bring Elia and her children from King's Landing."

"We're letting Elia be a hostage here Doran, we can save her anytime but we choose to wait, are you sure about this?"

"We're avoiding the most bloodshed here, Oberyn, at least on our side." siad Doran. "For now, do as I said, do not be careless and rash, your sister's head is on the line."

I nodded. "Very well." I stood up from my chair and spoke again. "But once we moved, place me in the frontlines."

Doran chuckled. "On that we agree."
