CHAPTER - XXXIV

"She's getting away" whispered Kamala

"I know Kamala, but we have no choice but to let her go for the moment" shouted Derek at Kamala's whisper.

"Our priority right now is to prevent Tarleton's robots from destroying the ship's thrusters" he said as he launched himself at the nearest thruster crashing into one of the Warbots.

Derek transformed his arm into a metal baton stretching it and hitting it head on, getting it away from the thruster without wasting time he accelerated the pace with Flashfire while propelling himself with fire for more speed.

By the time he was a meter away from the Warbot he transformed both arms into a copy of Mjolnir but of red-hot absorbing metal for having absorbed his own fire, swinging both arms at the same time hitting the robot and throwing it out of the ship.

As Kamala watched Derek take care of the Warbot in a few seconds she remembered the first time they faced one, how much time and effort it took them to defeat just one, but she was snapped out of her thoughts when Tony appeared in his armor throwing a Uniray at another Warbot sending it flying from the ship into the void.

The same Warbot that Tony sent flying could be seen falling into one of the AIM buildings where a reporter was reporting.

"As you can see folks, it looks like we are seeing the return of the Avengers in Manhattan" but then more AIM robots or synthezoids began to fall.

?? : "But it looks like they are attacking the city!"

But without anyone noticing a muscular and very recognizable blonde figure was walking in their direction while holding up his hand as if he was calling something.

While in the park where Derek and Kamala met, on the statue of Cap the Mjolnir left by Thor for no reason began to release electricity vibrating and finally to float flying in one direction.

Meanwhile the journalist Phil Sheldon (Yes friends that's his name) was still reporting about what was happening

Phil : "Isn't it a coincidence that this happens the same day that AIM would present its new and promising Adaptoid project?"

But at that moment a large shadow began to cover him noticing this he looked up realizing that it was a Warbot, before the fear and surprise of how fast all this was happening he could not move, for his part the figure that had his hand raised approached Phil but not before his dearest and most faithful weapon and friend arrived, Mjolnir!

Covered in electricity as his hammer came towards Phil also looking at the Warbot falling, launching a war cry he swung Mjolnir away and destroying what was left of the robot, covered in electricity he looked at the reporter "You're welcome" he said and launched himself towards the Chimera, seeing that he was leaving Phil reacted "Thank you".

Thor when arriving to the Chimera saw the Synthezoids and Warbots trying to destroy the ship's thrusters and his former teammates preventing that from happening, already getting an idea of what was happening

Thor : "I warn you scrap I'm not in a good mood"

And with a little effort he launched himself towards a Warbot a little bigger and stronger than normal covered with purple energy being confronted by Derek who had it covered with fire without counting that some of the robot's legs were melted or cut.

When Derek was about to launch a [ Roar Of The Fire Dragon ] a man surrounded by electricity fell and hit him with his hammer at the same time that a lightning bolt hit the robot destroying it and exploding.

Derek upon seeing this began to inhale devouring the flames from the explosion preventing the explosion from affecting the thruster then looked annoyed at Thor who was getting up from his super hero fall.

Derek : "You big idiot what do you think you are doing" he shouted at Thor who was taken by surprise looked at him and replied hesitantly "Helping".

Derek : "O thank you Lord God of hammers"

Hearing what the boy wrapped in metal and fire at first smiled but hearing the part God of hammers Thor's face changed and when he was about to reply the boy interrupted him

"But if you wanted to help can't you just blow up a damn robot over five meters near a thruster which we are preventing them from destroying" hearing what the boy told him he looked at how close his attack was to destroying or damaging one of the thrusters that kept the ship in the air.

Realizing his mistake or as Tony would put it he almost blew it!

Thor : "Sorry"

Derek for his part sighed and calmed down

Derek : "Look I don't blame you or anything just think before you act, we have a lot at stake this isn't just about who is the strongest wins, just destroy and stop those damn things from destroying the thrusters that keep the ship upright"

He told him as he walked over to where Tony was preventing them from destroying one of the thrusters "Ha and take this so you'll know who needs help" he turned and tossed an earpiece which Thor caught, he looked for a moment and put it on watching Derek walk away.

Nat : "Hey wait that's Thor and he was scolded by Derek".

"Tony : Damn dude looks like you got scolded by the kid just like all the adults" scoffed Tony.

"Speak for yourself Stark" replied Nat "I advise you to get serious about this and keep those things from damaging the thrusters."

(So his name is Derek) thought the Asgardian.

Thor for his part said nothing at this knowing he had made a mistake, he approached the next Warbot but some synthezoids were getting in his way, nothing a simple swing of his hammer couldn't fix, but when he got to the Warbot it created a spherical energy shield preventing them from approaching him.

"So tell me friend how did you find out about this party?" asked Tony.

"I just followed the mortals when it started raining chunks of junk from the sky" replied Thor as he punched the Warbot's shield which it did nothing to.

"And it is so very, very good to see you" replied Kamala joining the conversation.

Thor had had enough of that he rose up to sky and dark clouds began to gather, lightning began to fall nd being absorbed by Thor's body strengthening it along with his hammer, spinning it at great speeds he launched himself against the shield hitting it without any resistance he broke it, without stopping he reached the robot covered in purple energy destroying one of its legs.

"So the false God is back, why?" mocked and asked Tarleton.

Tarleton : "You did what you had to, didn't you, you even gave up your power, you should have remained in oblivion as you have been doing these years" said Tarleton as he fought Thor through the Warbot firing energy projectiles or lightning which Thor deflected with his hammer or defended himself by launching a thunder or lightning bolt.

"Never, Tarleton not while there are mortals in danger, not like you who can't even show your face" shouted Thor charging his hammer with lightning and thunder destroying another of the machine's legs.

"Look well I am everywhere" replied Tarleton making Thor look at all the Warbots facing his teammates and realizing that only those machines had purple energy covering them.

Tarleton taking advantage of this created a more powerful shield on all the Warbot but recognizable preventing the Avengers attacks.

Thor seeing this again charged in lightning along with his hammer and lunged towards the shield hitting with his hammer "Boomm!" was heard around but what surprised everyone without exception was that the shield did not yield and Thor was sent flying a few meters landing on the ground and crawling a meter to stop

At that same moment Tony and Derek appeared, Tony seeing the shield threw a Uniray at maximum power without doing anything to the shield.

"Tell me Stark does it look familiar" said Tarleton.

"How original, and then what, you plan on copying my hairstyle?" scoffed Tony but everyone knows he was angry to see his technology used in this way.

"I don't even think you can do your hair" also scoffed Derek lightening the mood a bit.

Tarleton : "Mock all you want now you only have a few minutes before the Chimera goes down I will enjoy watching your helpless faces."

Still not giving up everyone except for Derek kept attacking the Warbots and their shields but they were doing nothing to them.

Derek was thinking about what to do until he remembered an anime from his past life where a villain creates portal that can transport anything it comes in contact with to another location.

"That's it" whispered Derek touching his earpiece and communicating his plan to two people with purple and blue skin, while with the avengers they kept attacking the Warbots shields with no result making them desperate until Derek communicated with them

Derek : "Guys I have a plan so just charge your most powerful attack to the center of the shields of the three Warbots."

"Wait Derek I already analyzed the shields and there is no blind or weak spot on those shields" Tony chided.

"Just trust me please I'm 99% sure it will work" listening to him and knowing how smart Derek could be he decided to trust him

Tony : "Alright you heard Mr. God of the Hammers, earn your paycheck"

Thor : "I am the God of Thunder Stark."

Derek : "Yes but you use a hammer besides the hammer is the one that throws the thunder and lightning or I would say channels it"

Derek answered them making Thor think realizing that what the boy said is true, "Therefore you are the God of Hammers" no longer wanting to listen to them Thor levitated and extended his arms opening his eyes wrapped in lightning while the clouds gathered and darkened falling from them lightning and thunder towards Thor who absorbed them into his body or Mjolnir doing the same

While Tony was charging one of the most powerful Uniray he had ever launched

Derek for his part was charging one of the most powerful attacks in his arsenal at the moment, hunching back a little he began to inhale and the air began to vibrate being absorbed by him with metal as if it was sand peeling off and being transformed into absorbing metal by him.

His cheeks began to swell from the metal transformed into absorbing metal along with the fire that was building up in him.

As if they were all synchronized they attacked

Tony launched his Uniray which was bigger than him, Thor for his part swung his hammer so fast that all that could be seen was a blue circular flash "For Midgard" he shouted and a large electric beam shot from where his hammer was pointing

Derek launched his attack at the same time as them

[ METAL FLAME ELEMENTAL DRAGON ATTACK: BREATH OF DESTRUCTION ]

Roared with all his might and a breath came out of his mouth along with a tornado of metal covering a lacer of fire releasing absorbing fragments of red hot absorbing metal like shrapnel.

At the moment all the attacks were about to hit the shields three purple portals formed in the center of the shields absorbing the attacks and another three opened inside the shield from which the attacks launched by them came out hitting the Warbots full on destroying them, courtesy of two Inhumans Cerise and Theo who had been asked by Derek to create these totally synchronized portals thanks to them synchronizing themselves by using their powers, after that Theo and Cerise looked totally tired.

After that we can see how Thor enters the command room and behind him were Tony and Derek who looked tired and with a small trace of blood falling from his lip which he wiped as he entered so as not to worry anyone but seeing the looks that Kamala, Cassie were giving him of concern and a little annoyed although Nat was looking at him in a neutral way, but already knowing her he knew that they were going to scold him.
