CHAPTER - XXXIII
Once he jumped where the Adaptoid had entered he could see that the CHIMERA had been slightly overturned by a huge horde of synthezoids that had managed to pass through the barrier that covered the ship.
He also saw some special synthezoids with something appeared to generators on their backs glowing with violet energy creating portals through which the robots had managed to circumvent the shield of the ship.
Derek quickly flew towards the synthezoids that were creating the portals
He transformed his arm into a sword with saw teeth which began to rotate at an incredible speed and then gave the final touch wrapping it in flames throwing himself towards the first synthezoid breaking it in half and save it in his inventory to continue with the next one but he had to stop because a group of synthezoids were blocking him.
He raised his transformed arm, concentrated his flames and gathered them in the sword to bring it down again with force, sending an energy cut that destroyed all the synthezoids that were in his way.
While he was destroying the second synthezoid in charge of creating the portals he saw Tony in his armor having a hard time with another group of Synthezoids.
While the Hulk was outside the ship destroying every robot that approached him or using them as projectiles to destroy the ones he couldn't reach.
Seeing this Derek took out three kunais from his inventory that were already loaded and threw them where Tony was helping him, Iron Man took advantage of that and attacked with his thrusters while the shoulders of the armor rose and fired small projectiles exploding the synthezoids.
Tony noticing Derek flew towards him "I owe you that kid" he thanked him.
Derek : "Coming from you that means a lot Tony."
Tony smiled inside the armor at Derek's response "Haha, well the jokes for later we need to get rid of all these robots and stabilize the ship before it gets any worse."
Derek : "I know, I'm already taking care of those who are creating the portals, once I finish this we have to do some upgrades to the CHIMERA"
Tony nodded and walked away from Derek as he launched his power beam attack destroying even a hundred synthezoids.
So five minutes passed and Derek had finally destroyed the last synthezoid with the ability to create portals, but still this worried him he knew Tarleton had a grudge against him but still the adaptoid he was controlling never appeared or attacked him.
Derek : "Hey guys I destroyed the synthezoids that were creating the portals you just have to destroy the ones that are left."
Tony : "Okay, all right guys you heard the kid, it's time to earn our paycheck, destroy those robots" ordered Tony, (If you don't pay us) they all thought at the same time.
Derek : "Wait Stark I'm worried about Tarleton, he was controlling an Adaptoid much bigger than the three I've faced but I can't find him anywhere I'm worried he's on the ship"
He informed Tony being heard by the avengers making them frown especially Natasha.
Tony : "Damn George couldn't wait another day to bother us, all right those of you on the ship be careful, he may be inside the ship, making his main target Monica we already know where he may go, if you see him be careful and let us know Understood!"
"Understood" they all said at Tony and Derek's words and they launched themselves against the synthezoids that were pushing the ship.
With Kamala and the others.
After hearing what was going on thanks to Derek and Tony, Kamala and the others got worried seeing that this was all going to get worse Natasha reacted
Nat : "Alright kids try to calm down and listen I want you to do what I tell you, Theo, Cerise and Dante you three will go together I want you to help the wounded and transport them to safety while you Dante will be the one to attack any synthezoid you see"
All three nodded and Theo created two portals from which he pulled out his weapon while Dante pulled out the gauntlets Derek created for him and they left.
Once they left Nat looked at Kamala, Cassie and Lucy
Nat : "Alright now you three, Cassie you will come with me we will head to Hank's and help him balance the ship to its original position, while you Kamala will take Lucy with you, I want you to head to where Jarvis' core is, Tarleton's powers allow him to control the technology and if he does that I don't think Jarvis can fight him so you will go with Lucy."
Kamala wanted to say something but she agreed that Natasha was right in what she said, she took Lucy and put her on her shoulder "Be careful if something happens to us Derek will get mad" she smiled as she said it making Nat and Cassie smile too.
Lucy: "Kamala follow this map and we will arrive in a few minutes to Jarvis' core."
Kamala : "Roger that, Jarvis do me a favor and keep an eye on Monica, and if anything happens let us know."
Jarvis: "Roger that Miss Kamala."
Kamala started to run while following Lucy's directions on the way she could notice how the inhumans were fighting against the synthezoids and the people without powers were shooting at the synthezoids.
Although she wanted to help them she knew she could not do it since in some parts of the ship more specifically the doors were glowing with purple energy which meant that Jarvis could be in danger, when she arrived to one of the sliding doors she called to Jarvis "Jarvis door please".
Jarvis: "I'm sorry Miss Kamala but AIM is blocking me."
"Well then the old fashioned way Crush! " shouted Kamala as she polymerized and enlarged her arms to stretch them forward destroying the door in her path and run but in one section of the path a group of five synthezoids including a supreme crossed the wall and attacked Kamala.
She quickly polymerized her body and enlarged herself to 2.30 meters launching a slap forward destroying three of the synthezoids while the supreme used his spear to protect himself.
While the other synthezoid narrowly dodged, Kamala without waiting for them to attack her she dug her fingers into the metal floor and propelled herself against the supreme synthezoid tackling it against the wall and grabbed his spear to destroy it with her knee lifting the robot a few centimeters in the air and without letting it go she grabbed it by the shoulders with her hands while jumping and using her weight hitting it with her other knee destroying its head.
Once she touched the ground she saw the other synthezoid that had taken advantage while she was taking care of the supreme synthezoid to approach her.
But thanks to her polymerization she dodged the attack of the robot as if nothing and enlarged her arms again a little raising and lowering them as if they were hammers crushing the robot into scrap.
She looked at what was left of the synthezoids for a few seconds (The training was not for nothing) she thought and headed to the next section where she could see through the windows how Ironman was taking down AIM ships and Derek wrapped in fire and metal destroying or cutting the synthezoids with minimal effort, as she ran Jarvis spoke very nervously to her for the first time.
Jarvis: "Miss Kamala they've entered the control room."
Kamala : "I'm coming Jarvis, just in a few seconds I'll be there."
Jarvis: "You must hurry."
When she arrived where Jarvis should be, she found the door closed covered in purple energy, with no other choice she smashed it with a single punch and the first thing she saw was a group of syntezoids attacking the ship's cores and Jarvis'.
"Shit the energy cores" Kamala ran towards the synthezoid that was trying to destroy the cores.
She enlarged her fist and hit him lifting him up a few meters she took advantage of that to grab him by the shoulders bringing him down and hit him with her knee and rip his head off.
Kamala ran towards the next synthezoid but this one was surrounded by fire, reminding her of the plague synthezoid.so by instinct she polymerized her leg and kicked him, sending him flying towards a group of synthezoids.
The moment the synthezoid touched one of the group of robots it exploded destroying them.
"Hang in there Jarvis" shouted Kamala stretching her arms back and returning them forward sending the approaching synthezoids flying towards her.
"Alright with that we're done" she said as she approached where Jarvis' core was.
Jarvis: "You are just in time Miss Kamala."
Jarvis said looking relieved but suddenly purple energy began to surround his core and from a portal more syntezoids came out.
Jarvis: "Someone is hacking into my systems."
"Damn it, Lucy help him please" shouted Kamala, Lucy hearing her jumped off her shoulder and launched an electromagnetic pulse leaving most of the synthezoids vulnerable to easily approach Jarvis and connect to his core.
Kamala noticing what Lucy did enlarged her arms and grabbed two robots to use them as weapons attacking the other synthezoids or use them as shields by the time she finished with all the synthezoids the robots she had in her hands were unrecognizable.
"Listen guys Cassie and I are with Hank we are trying to stabilize the ship so those of you who can help Hulk, Hulk is clearing the Tarleton robots front thrusters but we might need reinforcements very soon" Natasha informed.
"Roger that finish off as many as you can, when's the party" replied Tony.
"At 3 o'clock"
"Alright Kamala tell me how's it going?" asked Nat.
Kamala : "I have destroyed all the synthzoids attacking Jarvis and the ship cores, at the moment Lucy is helping Jarvis defend himself against Tarleton."
Natasha : "Well done Kamala, we can only rely on Jarvis and Lucy now."
Nat answered her and said nothing more, Kamala just watched as the whole place where Jarvis was started to be covered with more purple energy making her fear the worst, but at that Lucy shouted.
Lucy: "Damn big head, stop bothering me."
Lucy shouted, so that the ARC reactor in her body would glow making her body glow and direct all the energy where it was connected to Jarvis' core and send it directly.
Lucy: "How about that you idiot, now get out of here."
Kamala seeing this could only remember Derek and his way of being (When she gets angry she is very similar to Derek) she thought, meanwhile the energy that was covering the room was receding until it disappeared and at the end a loud scream of pain was heard from Tarleton, seeing that Kamala ran and grabbed Lucy's body that fell to the floor with little energy.
Kamala : "Jarvis, Lucy are you all right?"
Jarvis: "I think so Miss Khan, I thank you for your help."
Lucy: "Hey I remember I saved your ass too buddy and yeah I'm fine I just used most of the energy in my reactor to take out that idiot Jarvis."
Lucy: "Whew I'm glad you guys are okay."
Jarvis: "Miss Khan I'm afraid Dr. Rappachini escaped."
"Haa" sighed Kamala "At least we have a lot to use against him now" she tried to comfort herself, but Tony got through to her.
Tony : "Natasha, guys, we're in trouble anyone who can help I want them on deck now".
Kamala didn't answer, she put Lucy on her shoulder and ran off, a few minutes later she was on deck and saw Monica walking towards a ship and even Adaptoid covered in purple energy protecting her, she was about to go stop them but a trail of fire crashed behind Monica and the Adaptoid, Kamala noticing who it was smiled.
"Derek" as if he heard her he turned and looked at her smiling and looked back at the two crazies.
Derek : "I can't let you take her George."
"O I know Derek, but shouldn't you help your friends" smiled Tarleton and portals formed where the four thrusters were on the ship, surprising Tony and Hulk who were clearing one of the thrusters from the synthezoids.
tarleton : "Now decide to stop us or help your friends."
"Tch, this won't happen again next time George" replied Derek annoyed.
"Next time I'll make you regret refusing to join us" Tarleton said and kept walking with Monica who watched Derek and Kamala with a smirk and smug smile until they entered the ship and closed its hatch starting to take off and pull away.
"Damn it, Kamala later we will discuss with the others what to do for the moment we have to stop those things from destroying the ship's thrusters" shouted Derek making Kamala react and run to where Tony and Hulk were, Derek for his part flew to another thruster.
