Chapter 28

It took two days for the small group to travel the distance between Sinwonsa temple and Hanyang. The journey had been tiring and uneventful. Shin and Yoon-Yi barely spoke to one another during these two days and when it happened, they were both excessively polite to each other. Jun-Ho and his sister could not help but notice this strange behavior, though they remained quiet about it throughout the journey.

When they reached Kim Jong-Seo's home in the capital, Yoon-Ah was waiting for them outside in the courtyard.

"Ah, you're here! Finally!" she cried out in relief. "I was getting worried."

Kim Jong-Seo had informed his wife about the events that had happened during the youngsters' journey and ever since then she had been anxious to see them home. Now, she began fussing over their appearance and gave swift orders to the servants to have the food ready. After that, she looked around and beamed at them.
