Butterflies and Pins

On a special day when it is said that spirits come to visit the living, eighteen year-old Kim Yoon-Yi gets sent into the past. Year 1452 is a year of turmoil. At the Joseon court the King, a Prince and Ministers battle for power. Neither wants to give in, using whatever means possible to best each other. There is nothing one wouldn't be willing to do when a single wrong step can mean either great success or swift demise. While young Yoon-Yi learns to adapt and survive in this new and dangerous environment, she finds a bond that is stronger than time itself: love. For her it was a first love born in the past, for him it is something he cherishes in the present. But what about the future? Will Yoon-Yi's presence in that age trigger unfathomable changes, or will destiny follow its course unhindered? * This is a work of fiction. Chapter 135

Several months later. May, 1456.

That day, Jung-Hee and Hyun were sitting in the garden, admiring the amazing change in weather. After raining for almost a week, the clouds had finally drifted away, revealing a bright, dazzling blue sky. The sun was shining brightly, sending its warm rays towards the earth.

It appeared that the seasons were finally changing. The spring slowly receded, allowing summer full rights over nature.

The couple was standing on a bench, enjoying the sight of the maple trees.

"The air is so fragrant today. I feel refreshed." Jung-Hee said, breathing deeply. She tilted her head backwards, smiling at the sky.

"Mn, it's very pleasant outside." Hyun nodded. He circled his wife's shoulders with one arm, gently pulling her closer.

Feeling her husband's tender touch, Jung-Hee turned her smiling face towards him. She leaned into him, placing a feather-like kiss on the corner of his lips.
