Chapter 110: The Hulk (Part 2)

"Abomination has indeed appeared," Daniel Davis said as he stood up, watching the news showing two gigantic monsters wreaking havoc on the streets. He quickly gathered his gear and used a teleportation spell to move to the scene of the incident.

When he first saw the Hulk appear, he had anticipated what would happen next, and now it was happening just as he expected. He couldn't help but acknowledge that Ross was quite adept at creating giants.

"Such a disgusting body," he muttered. The Hulk was already terrifying, but Abomination's body was even more grotesque, with exposed muscles that looked almost zombie-like. At least the Hulk had the decency to wear a pair of shorts to maintain some modesty, but Abomination was completely naked.

The bustling street had turned into a scene of carnage due to the battle between the two titans. Bloodstains were everywhere, and the terrified onlookers fled in panic.

As the Hulk and Abomination grappled, their sheer force was enough to endanger any ordinary person nearby. Vehicles on the street were crushed under their weight, and those who had chosen to hide in their cars instead of fleeing were instantly squashed.

The Hulk and Abomination roared at each other, their powerful blows causing nearby buildings to shatter, the ground to crumble, and cars to be wielded as weapons.

"What immense strength," Daniel thought. With his current strength, lifting a car wasn't a problem, but using it as a weapon with one hand like these two was beyond him.

With a mighty kick, Abomination sent the Hulk flying, embedding him into the wall of an office building. Abomination rushed over and unleashed a flurry of punches on the Hulk.

In terms of pure strength, the Hulk was undoubtedly stronger than Abomination. The reason he was losing was that Bruce Banner was a scientist with no fighting experience, while Emil Blonsky, now Abomination, was a highly skilled mercenary with extensive combat experience.

The complexity of the US military's composition was evident here. They had their own elite squads like Alpha Team and also employed powerful mercenaries. This was partly because using mercenaries avoided the need for compensations paid to the families of fallen soldiers and didn't affect voting outcomes if the casualties were high.

"Attack," ordered Ross from a military helicopter as he saw the Hulk being overpowered. He was frustrated to the point of despair. He had created Abomination to capture the Hulk, but now he had to ally with the Hulk to deal with Abomination.

Ross hadn't anticipated that Blonsky would disobey orders after becoming Abomination. If it weren't for the efforts of his soldiers to restrain him, Ross might have been killed by Abomination.

"You useless creature, with all that power, get up!" Abomination roared as he continued to pummel the Hulk.

"It's impressive that the Hulk isn't even bleeding after such an onslaught," Daniel mused, observing the battle through a monocular telescope. He was there for the Hulk's blood, but this was turning out to be more challenging than he thought.

Boom, boom, boom!

Suddenly, three loud explosions came from behind Abomination. The force of the blasts pushed him back several steps. The explosions were from rockets fired by the military helicopters, hitting Abomination squarely in the back. Despite being forced back, Abomination's body remained unscathed; his defense was formidable.

"In terms of pure defense, he's far superior to those enhanced by bio-viruses," Daniel observed. "No bio-viral enhancement could withstand a rocket hit. If one rocket didn't do the job, another would." Even the likes of Wesker or Carla couldn't survive a direct hit from a rocket.

"It's a shame he's so ugly," Daniel thought. No matter how strong Abomination was, Daniel had no desire to become something so monstrous. Turning into that grotesque form meant no women would be interested in him. Even if he had no other means to get stronger, he wouldn't want to become that hideous.

After transforming into the Hulk, Bruce Banner had to avoid his girlfriend. Even his later relationship with Black Widow was more about emotional connection than anything else.

"Die!" Abomination yelled as he ripped a car door off and hurled it at the remaining helicopter. The speed of the throw left the helicopter no time to evade, and the door smashed into the rotor, causing the helicopter to crash.

In short order, five helicopters were reduced to one. The remaining helicopter, which was positioned farthest away, barely avoided destruction. Of the four downed helicopters, two were military, and the other two were media choppers. Daniel once again witnessed the lengths people would go to for a news story.

"Hulk!" roared the Hulk, finally emerging from the wall. He landed a powerful punch that sent Abomination flying and then charged at him with fury, crushing a car under Abomination as he tackled him.

"Fighting for his girlfriend, huh?" The last helicopter in the air carried General Ross and his daughter Betty, who was also Banner's girlfriend.

Banner had been quite unfortunate. Though not a billionaire, he had been successful, handsome, with seven PhDs, and a beautiful, loving girlfriend. If not for the gamma radiation accident, he might have married Betty by now.

Boom!

As the Hulk and Abomination clashed again, their fight caused a nearby water pipe to burst, and the ground began to cave in.

"Ahhh!" Suddenly, the deserted street echoed with terrified screams. Daniel spotted a car trapped among other vehicles, with three children and a woman in the driver's seat. They had been far from the fight initially, but the monsters had moved closer, forcing them to leave the car in desperation.

"Why didn't they run earlier?" Daniel wondered through his binoculars. "Now it's too late. Wait, is that Spider-Man?" He noticed a figure descending from above.

As the Hulk and Abomination's fight neared the trapped family, Spider-Man swooped down and quickly webbed them to safety on a nearby building's rooftop.

After securing the family, Spider-Man joined the fray, trying to subdue both giants by shooting webs at their feet to pin them down.

"If Spider-Man is here, then maybe that guy will show up too," Daniel thought. Sure enough, Iron Man soon arrived, flying in with his suit.

"Monsters below, surrender immediately, or face the consequences!" Iron Man's announcement momentarily stunned the Hulk, Abomination, and even Spider-Man.

"Who are these people?" Tony Stark, inside his suit, asked JARVIS, his AI assistant.

"That one is Spider-Man, a vigilante known for fighting crime," JARVIS replied, displaying footage of Spider-Man saving people and catching criminals. "The green one is the military's target, the Hulk. The other one has no records."

"A hero? I thought I was the only one," Stark muttered, slightly annoyed. He had believed he was the sole hero.

"Contact Spider-Man and have him focus on one of them," Stark ordered. Despite his annoyance, he understood that stopping the fight between these two monsters was the priority.

"Impressive, Stark," Daniel thought. The appearance of Spider-Man and Iron Man made sense. Unlike the movies, this was reality. Spider-Man, the neighborhood hero, would not sit out such a crisis, and Tony Stark, who loved being in the spotlight, wouldn't miss it either.

The Hulk and Abomination simultaneously roared and broke free from Spider-Man's webs. As the Hulk prepared to continue his assault on Abomination, Spider-Man shot webs at his eyes.

Meanwhile, Abomination tried to attack the Hulk, but Iron Man intercepted him, blasting him with his repulsor beams.

"This is getting interesting," Daniel mused, watching the three-way fight. It was understandable that Iron Man and Spider-Man had mistaken the Hulk for a threat; both monsters looked alike and were easily perceived as dangerous.

Boom!

Iron Man, who had been slowly attacking Abomination, was suddenly punched and sent flying. He barely managed to stabilize himself using his suit's thrusters before crashing into a building on another street.

"JARVIS, what just happened?" Stark asked, feeling dizzy from the impact. Fortunately, his suit's shock absorbers had taken most of the blow, leaving him only slightly shaken.

"The target possesses immense strength and defense," JARVIS reported, replaying the footage of the Hulk and Abomination's fight.

"Damn, what kind of monster is this? JARVIS, deploy the missiles!" Stark commanded, readying his suit's mini-missiles.

"Roger that."

A small missile launched from Iron Man's suit, heading straight for Abomination.

Boom!

Caught off guard, Abomination was hit directly by the missile. The resulting explosion sent cars flying and engulfed Abomination in flames. Thankfully, Spider-Man had already moved away, avoiding the blast.

"This can't be possible," Stark muttered as the smoke cleared. Abomination was down but not out. Though he had lost an arm and suffered severe chest injuries, he was still alive.

"Die!" Abomination, now enraged, grabbed a nearby car and hurled it at Stark.

"Damn monster. JARVIS, fire two more missiles!" Stark dodged the car and ordered JARVIS to launch two more missiles this time.

Boom, boom!

The simultaneous explosions engulfed Abomination once more. When the smoke cleared, all that remained was a charred corpse. Stark, inside his suit, breathed a sigh of relief, finally confident that Abomination was dead.

"So Abomination is finished," Daniel observed from a distance, slightly surprised. He hadn't expected Iron Man to be the one to take down Abomination instead of the Hulk.

"I wanted to see the Hulk's incredible move where he puts out flames with just a clap," Daniel thought. His most vivid memory of the Hulk was him extinguishing a massive fire with a single clap

, without harming anyone nearby. Such control over his strength was something Daniel couldn't achieve.

But just because he couldn't do it didn't mean the Hulk couldn't. Banner had seven PhDs, including one in physics.

"Is he really going to fight the Hulk now?" Daniel wondered as he watched Stark target the Hulk next. With Spider-Man swinging out of the way, Stark fired another missile at the Hulk.

"How can this be?" Stark was filled with dread. The missile had exploded against the Hulk, sending him flying, but he emerged completely unharmed.
