Aura

POV Arthur

Hab showed up couple days later with a tall and physically intimidating man. He introduced him as the captain of the Azura knights which seemed to shock mother especially.

Apparently I was supposed to be Captain Luke's disciple. Hab was full of praise for the captain and knowing Hab's character it seemed that the captain did indeed warrant such praise.

It did take long before Captain Luke who I started to call "master" called me for our first lesson.

I was overjoyed with the fact that I was actually going to learn about aura from master and couldn't contain my excitement.

"We will start by explaining the difference between aura and mana" he said as he started the lesson.

"From what I read in books, the difference between the two was how they were utilized."

I answered. He seemed surprised for a second but then went back to his default tone.

"It looks like that you are at least educated enough." He continued

"So, to be more specific aura is largely used for defensive purposes or when using weapons like spears, swords and even in archery. Ones aura usually depends on his soul. In that the type of aura you have depends on who you are as a person, so everyoy has their own unique aura. Auras of two individuals can be similar but there is always subtle differences between them. For example, the duke's aura is cold that freezes anything and anyone. While mine is electric in that it can burn and shock others. Do you now understand how aura is different from mana?" He asked after expertly explaining how aura works.

"I understand, but how can I know what my aura is exactly?" I asked trying to see if I could get my own unique aura.

"Usually one's aura can be seen after they take on to train on a specific weapon, but there is a way to accelerate the process."

He said with a hint of hesitation.

"Would it be possible to try that and see what my aura is?"

"….you seem to be eager to find out about your aura, so why not."

He asked me to remove my shirt as he went behind me. As I followed his commands he started to forced his aura on my back. It felt like I was getting hit by lightning. After a while I could feel something trying to force itself out of me. It was heavy to the point that just little bit more and it would have crashed me to the ground.

Captain Luke smiled and looked at me saying, "Your aura seems to be a force that can crash your enemies."

Before I could even celebrate at finding out my aura, the system window appeared with a prompt congratulating me for manifesting my aura.

Captain Luke seemed to realize my distracted gaze.

"What is it exactly you looking at?"

It caught me off guard which he realized too and I couldn't even find a good lie to tell him.
